  • Hi guys!
Today, I'm coming to you from Rhapsody of the Seas, which is one of the oldest cruise ships from Royal Caribbean. This ship was launched back in 1997, so she's VERY different to the experience I recently had on Symphony of the Seas.
You may think a ship this 'old' would be out of date, or a bit 'too old', but let me show you what this ship's got to offer.
It's worth noting that Rhapsody forms a part of the Vision-class family of cruise ships within the Royal Caribbean umbrella. These ships are the smallest in the Royal fleet, and tend to focus on more destination-intensive itineraries. For example, I was on this ship for 7-nights to visit the Greek Islands, which is a route that tends to be quite port-heavy.
You can either watch this whole video, or I've popped chapters down below to allow you to jump over to parts of the ship you'd be interested in.
If you're new to my channel, hello! I'm Fraser, and I'm living on cruise ships for all of 2023, so I've got a LOT to show you on my channel. If you enjoy, please remember to like and subscribe - thank you!

Just booked the ship for next summer on a southern Caribbean itinerary. Sometimes I like a smaller ship, and this one looks like it has been renovated nicely. We are very excited about it. Too many people sometimes can be too stressful.

Yeah, I’d agree re renovation - Rhapsody’s looking beautiful given her age! Stop back and let me know how it goes - I just loved this ship!

It’s not about the number of people, it’s about the layout. I’ve been on ships with 6000 people and never felt crowded. I’ve been on 2500 passenger cruises and felt like I couldn’t go anywhere without lines and masses of people blocking walking routes around the ship

It seems that many of the "older" ships have more deck room and views of the ocean than some of the "newer" ships. Maybe that really isn't true, but just seems that way in some tour that I have watched. Prefer to spend as much time on deck as possible. I think I'd be a happy cruiser on Rhapsody for sure. I’d agree with you with some of the modern ships - I’ve found that some of my recent ships seem to have been designed to make it feel like you’re not on a ship, which is a concept I’ll never buy into for a cruise ship. Interesting that you guys have thought the same!
