Your hair looks BEAUTIFUL because it just is!!! Ummm we can’t see the flaking from way over here in the back but that is definitely something to be concerned with. Some companies love to claim that their products are universal and they work for everyone but that’s just not the case. You typically will have to have different families of products within your line so there is something for everybody. No shade to her for trying. The only truly universal product that works for every single hair type on the planet is from God’s product line, WATER.

Do you think the issue is because your hair is thick as in density or more so because its "textured" and hers doesn't appear to be? My hair isn't as thick as yours but is also textured and curly vs 'silky' and curly. Hope that makes sense 😅😅
That’s a great question!!! My strands are definitely coarse in comparison to silky hair types in the 3 and below range so it can make a difference but my moms hair is same as mine and her ability to hold water is stronger than mine. The difference really being the thickness of her strands and her higher porosity. I’ll have to test this on her to see if it makes a difference.
