    I use the treatment mask as a prepoo since it’s pretty strengthening. I detangle first with water and then apply it to damp hair and it revives my curls. The slip is definitely not there but it’s easy to spread

    • @TruleyTalentedBeauty
      @TruleyTalentedBeauty  Год назад +3

      Interesting!!! So would you say you view it as a protein treatment as well and do you use it pre poo wise on hair to elongate it and define the curls?

    • @CurlsofaCPA
      @CurlsofaCPA Год назад +3

      @@TruleyTalentedBeauty yeah i use it as a protein treatment (like you would use the curlsmitth bond salve or that olaplex prepoo). I use it more for the curl definition and not elongation. I think the elongation comes from how it sticks to the hair (kind of like clay) and weighs it down but that elongation doesn't last lol

    You should have tried the transition mask which has honey in it. I do not detangle with the treatment mask in regardless of what it says. I make sure it’s pre detangled after I shampoo and apply soaking wet. I learned it from Faye in the city on here. Then I’d follow up with a conditioner

      @@TruleyTalentedBeautyyes I do. I tried to finger detangle one time and felt like my hair was starting to rip. So it make sure it semi detangled and section off the thicker areas like my crown to make sure it’s properly coated

    I recomend using an oil to take down protective styles, and gloves. Gloves because me personally, my nails be snagging my hair and that pisses me off. Olive oil, sunflower oil, jojobo oil give a nice slip for dry detangling AND keeps all the flakes and build up form floating around in the air and getting in my damn eyes lol😂

    Happycurlhappygirl uses the nectar as a leave in. I tried it and it worked but i love to use it to detangle. Maybe next time you can use the nectar after your shampoo

      This is so interesting! I’ll definitely have to play with it more to see where it I like it best in my routine. Especially since outside of slip results wise it works. Definitely will test the nectar after I shampoo!

  • @bridgettebianca
    @bridgettebianca Год назад +2

    I love the mask. I put it on and then under a cap for a few minutes. Then I brush through. Follow up with a moisturizing conditioner since the mask is pretty protein heavy. You really have to follow the directions and do it on wet and previously detangled hair though. Because the slip isn’t enough to be your big detangle.

    • @TruleyTalentedBeauty

      Thank so much for sharing!!! Definitely a product that seems to be more of a learn and adapt situation. I’m curious as to where you place this in your routine and how often you use it? Cause outside of slip I think the mask definitely performs. But I’m learning everyone uses it in so many different ways beyond the instructions 😅

  • @anneel8115

    I love that treatment mask. I use it after shampoo, use a lot of water and then finish off with a conditioner. I do not detangle with it. With a little heat, it's even better. Your hair looked good (as always)😊

    • @marquita1636
      @marquita1636 Год назад +2

      You are using it correctly. It marketed as a treatment not a deep conditioner as it’s being compared to. I never understood putting products on dirty hair.

    • @TruleyTalentedBeauty
      @TruleyTalentedBeauty  Год назад +1

      Ahhh but what do you do application wise. Is it something you just slap on or throughly work through.

    • @TruleyTalentedBeauty
      @TruleyTalentedBeauty  Год назад +3

      I do want to clarify the “slip” is what I’m comparing the treatment mask to when I talk about the deep conditioner or a conditioner. I acknowledged that it says to use a deep conditoner/conditioner afterwards.
      The way it’s marketed is slightly confusing especially since it’s solely marketed as a treatment that “delivers slip, curl elongation & definition to coils, providing moisture to dry or damaged hair and promoting hair growth” via their site. And it was applied on freshly washed hair that I had dry over night.

    • @marquita1636
      @marquita1636 Год назад

      @@TruleyTalentedBeauty yes on wet,washed hair. All of Pattern products work best on wet hair imo. Your hair is thriving so your doing everything right for your hair❤️☺️

      @@TruleyTalentedBeauty apply it in the shower. The first time I applied it, I thought cause it was gel like I could detangle too… WRONG!!! lol now I use the scalp serum before I shampoo, cause it keeps my hair from drying out, but I use a clarifier then a rinse out conditioner or a co wash. Then by that point, hair is detangled, apply in sections, finger rake through and then I use wide tooth comb. It’s a lot of work, but my hair gets matted easily so I go through a long process and my hair isn’t even close to your thickness.

    Hey beautiful 👋🏾❤️ I watched your video "Super defined and moisturized summer proof twist out" And I saw the light honey colored stripes/highlights in your chestnut colored hair. Where can I find your hair color video? Did you got to salon? yourself?
    I want my hair that exact same color of your twist out in that video. I was even thinking of taking that video to a stylist to give me the same color shades. Did you bleach? My hair is virgin. Thanks for sharing ❤

      ruclips.net/video/fo4WjGq0sfk/видео.html
      I got it touched up end of last year and put a copper on top. Then I added a Honey Brown semi permanent on top of the copper to get this color!!! You can also check out this video for any questions you might have ruclips.net/video/Ni_xAIsEoN4/видео.html
      I’m thinking of making a video showing how I touch up my hair to get the brown color. Let me know if that’s something you’d be interested in!

    When it's been a while, always start at the end. It's not as painful. I saw on Tiktok that putting mouse on the knots to avoid as much shedding. How does the feel of the nectar differ from the African Pride Prepoo treatment?

    • @TruleyTalentedBeauty
      @TruleyTalentedBeauty  Год назад +2

      In terms of execution I would say the same. Except I do think the nectar works better on dry hair in comparison to the African pride one. The African pride one does have this weird film residue that the nectar doesn’t. Which makes me feel like I can use the nectar in more ways than just a pre poo. So the major differences would be price and formulation.

    I don't want to start a discussion, but if you watch Pattern's own video? That says enough when you look at her hair. Looking on youtube I see all type 4 b-c use it. I do not understand. From my perspective, there are plenty of other brands that are much more suitable for kinky and curly hair. Is it because it's a brand owned by a black and has a black base?
