That dog is gonna be one of the happiest dog in the world, to listen to all of these almost everyday
There is no band playing more authentic traditional Jazz (ca. 1920-1930). After listening to scratchy recordings of the real thing most of my life, it's just so delightful to hear it faithfully reproduced by modern players. Shaye Cohn is an amazing horn player, considering she started out as a classically trained pianist. Her leadership of the group is clear. What a treasure.
It warms my heart to know there are younger persons who WILL carry forth all these musical treasures
Such a gem of a song and recording. Thanks a bunch!
Great solo by Ewan Bleach, Shaye & BJ. This is some tune done by a great band!!
It don’t take long to get hooked on this fabulous bunch keeping this marvellous music alive
This is the best band in the world.
Born and raised in Baton Rouge back in the 50's, this music is a well-appreciated reminder up here in TN of what GREAT music sounds like
This is another one of those million dollar sets of music performed by Tuba Skinny and expertly captured for posterity by The Wsm. And certainly England's own Ewan Bleach is always a welcome addition to the band. Thanks Wsm! 😄👍👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Knowing this wasn't one of my favorite TS numbers, I almost didn't click on it. But I did, and now I've been replaying it for the better part of an hour. The word that seems best for this arrangement is "amiable." Shaye and Ewan in particular seem to have just the right feel for this likable classic. And Todd's solo is perfect.
Great band!
Interesting fact: Every time one of your tunes start with Shaye's trumpet, I get so hooked up on it.
It's a Shayefull mystery!
Yes I agree. Shaye's cornet and her extreme versatility in her ability to play many instruments with perfect quality is very similar to Bix Biderbeck. She once played at a Bix Biderbeck commemorative performance
Saye lovely... great banda..
Beautiful
Shaye, you are so good and pretty at the same time
The title is 'Baby, I'd Love to Steal You'. It's the song that Bunk Johnson revived in a recorded interview in 1943. Bunk said it had been composed by Tony Jackson in about 1910. But I don't think it was published at the time. Chris Tyle revived it by including it on his 1993 CD 'The Smiler'. In more recent years, bands led by Steve Pistorius and by Tyler Thomson have been playing it in New Orleans.
Thanks a lot for all your help finding the title of this tune.
Simplesmente notável! Emocionante! Cativante! Como é maravilhoso apreciar Estrelas de Primeira Grandeza como vcs! Que transformam a nossa vida em todos os sentidos em momentos fascinantes! Minha alma e coração agradecem! Obrigada pelo carinho e atenção! 🌟👑💎🏆👏😘❤️💐
Great!!! GOD bless you all!! Thank you!!
This tune is on Tuba Skinny's 2020 Bandcamp Album called 'Quarantine Album: Unreleased B Sides'.
Até o cão adormeceu...
Relax musical...
Fantastic!!
What a great performance of a wonderful tune. It is made for a Shaye 's sweet sound on the Cornet.
The tune was recorded during their album "Some Kind A Shake" But It was not their first choice for the album.
One year later they have released this tune on their album "Quarantine B Sides".
Великолепные музыканты! Прекрасный джаз!
It's a very different tune to the version of 'Baby, I'd Love To Steal You' which Bertha Gonsulin plays with Bunk Johnson!
Interesting. Where is your evidence that Bertha Gonsoulin ever 'played' this tune with Bunk? As far as I can tell, HE played it solo - on the piano - and it is certainly the same tune that Tuba Skinny are playing: ruclips.net/video/MNcIzQgDBko/видео.html
Che sound👏👏👏👏👏👏
And the dog. Luvs me some Tuba Skinny
Thank you
Wow
This is what is meant by 'Make a joyful noise...'
I love Tuba Skinny and I play many of their videos over and over. I also have five of their CDs. But I would really like to know about the art gallery beside them. I am intrigued by the art shows one can see when Tuba Skinny is at this location. Does anyone know the name of the gallery?
Hi Barnabus how about a visit at the Shoe-shine? Anyway a wonderful good time Dixie-Music. Greetings from Germany
I love the band and the sleeper dog
The dog is not scratching or gnawing in this clip. LOL.
Topmusici❤
So Acker Bilk in the 3rd verse!
Hi Wsm, thanks for uploading such gems. Could you tell me what "MVI 9687" and your other video names mean? I'll try to help with titles if I come across one I know.
"MVI 9687" is internal

Sweet.
Whose dog is that?......I've seen him in several clips
Frank Newman Barnabus Jones the trombone player is the owner of Tupelo the dog
Love this band but also a dog lover....What is the dogs name & does he belong to someone in the band?
Tupelo is (was?) Barnabus’ faithful companion. You can see Tupelo on many videos of Tuba Skinny before 2018
He guards the kitty
I was wondering if these guys play in 432 Hertz or 440 Hertz. Because they have found that 432 Hertz is a frequency that is tuned to are body's.
Che musica rilassante! Guardate il cane che dorme tranquillo!!!!
❤😅😊
who belongs to the dog?
I n.
