To finish my comment. He is another person with more than one talent. Tuba Skinny is multi -talented. 👌🏻🤗👏🏻🇱🇷
What a great jazz band, cornet playing wonderful!
Thank you I wish I was there just memorable, joyful night, lucky people listening Tuba skinny before sleep time thanks camera person keep smiling with lol politely & safely jazz it
I would rather drink muddy water than miss one of their fabulous renditions … Mikie
I never cease to be amazed by these guys. Words fail me but they are just bloody good musicians with superb taste. Please please come to Wales and play for us.
Best of their very fine performances I've seen. Bravo!
I agree - first time I heard Shay play I thought about Louis. And Barnabus Jones plays a trombone the way it should be played. They are all fabulous. Thanks for posting this, I love it, this is my new favorite Tuba Skinny performance. Ed
Ewan Bleach on a vocal, and not a British syllable uttered! Shaye as gorgeous as ever. Great sound, as always everyone!
So good!
Wow!
What a great rendition!! My god! Slayed!!!
The song is great, and Blanch is a grandee ..!
I'm always a fan of this great Tuba Skinny from Argentina, regards
Just damn good musicians.
What a brave cornet- I haven't enjoyed a horn sound this much since Pops. Shane is a great bandleader - her leadership is a big part of what makes these songs sing. The street videos have made me so happy, each and every one. Their love for the form shines like a light.
Yeah, it's pretty clear who is calling the shots. Not only is she a skilled cornet and trumpet player, but she plays violin and piano, and quite well. But there are no poor players in this band. I used to sound for a lot of bands, indoors and outside, and i would love to do a sound mix for these people.
This is a group of very talented young players, all of them, but Shay is so intuitive and so confident -- and so obviously trusted by the rest of the group. They're manifestly in love with the older jazz, and totally immersed in it. What's not to like?
Well I'm
Tired of worrying bout what youd do
Tired of trying to get along with you
Now you tripped me and let me fall
But I found out you ain't a fool at all
I'd rather drink muddy water
And sleep out in a hollow log
Well you'd go on rablin around all night
Make me so mad that Id want to fight
Theres just one thing I cannot see
Why did you want to make a fool out of me
I'd rather drink muddy water
And sleep out in a hollow log
And it seems I booked for the electric chair
But when I go you wont be found no where
You wont hear no church bells ring
You wont be able to shake that thing
I'd rather drink muddy water
And sleep out in a hollow log
Well it seems you found some mellow stuff
But baby why can't you get enough?
Your thang ain't like it used to be
Because that stuff you got it goes to me
I'd rather drink muddy water
And sleep out in a hollow log
Well you rub my head and you squeeze my hand
And did other things I can't understand
Now you tryin to ease away
But when you go they won't be havin to pay
I'd rather drink muddy water
And sleep out in a hollow log
Awesome playing.
I like this size group the best.
So beautifully recorded, great sound and video. Shaye's cornet so perfect. Trumpet has more power, cornet way more soul IMO
Just wow!
You guys are great God bless you and keep you
QUESTO E' VERO TALENTO!! MAGICI
Didnt know EB sang too! Good rendition!
Watch the one In The Gloaming, his singing is fantastic..
Wow, that was Ewan, wasn’t it? He did a wonderful job singing. I could listen to him some more
As I've said before, some songs are Erika's and some are Greg's. This one is the exclusive property of Mr. Ewan Bleach. 😊👍👍
@@MarkWYoung-ky4uc it looks to me like Ewan almost started his vocal prematurely at 0:30! For such a slender guy, he sure his a big voice. Shaye's solo at 3:36 is delicious.
Lyrics as per Lew Rawls -
(There are several versions of this tune .. here called 'Don't Jive Me' w/ Greg Sherman.
- ruclips.net/video/wxbX5tWkxbU/видео.html - See Pops Cofee's note )
Baby, we got to have a little talk
I ought to pack up my things and walk
I know a dollar goes from hand to hand
But before I let you go from man to man
I'd rather drink muddy water
Sleep out in a hollow log
I work for you like a Georgia mule
My friends all laughed, called me a fool
Your kisses are as sweet as can be
But before I let you make a fool out of me
I'd rather drink muddy water
Lay down and sleep in a hollow log
I love you baby, but you won't be fair
You don't know how to be on the square
Have your fun baby, if you must
But before I'll have a woman that I cannot trust
I'd rather drink muddy water
Sleep out in a hollow log
Muddy water
Yes, Baby, we got to have a little talk
Said I ought to pack up my things and walk
I know a dollar goes from hand to hand
But before I let you go from man to man
I'd rather drink muddy water
Sleep out in a hollow log
I work for you like a Georgia mule
My friends all laughed and they called me a fool
Your kisses are as sweet as can be
But before I let you make a fool out of me
I'd rather drink muddy water
Sleep in a hollow log
Because I love you baby, but you won't be fair
You don't know how to be on the square
Have your fun baby, if you must
But before I'll have a woman that I can't trust
I'd rather drink muddy water
Drink muddy water
Drink muddy water
Sleep out in a hollow log
Muddy water
Well, it's 'I'd Rather Drink Muddy Water'. It's sung by Erika when she's available, as in this performance (you must remember it!) from the 2012 French Quarter Festival: ruclips.net/video/uvZr2fvuKow/видео.html. Erika sings it in G and yet they transpose to Eb for Ewan's voice. It's also on their album entitled 'Rag Band', where Barnabus famously plays those 48 glissandos and absolutely nothing else!
Thank you very much!
ПРИВЕТ ИЗ МОЛДОВЫ.
where this band from
N'Orleans
Looked like Ewen almost came in at wrong time with vocal.
Yepp, that was close :)
And at 3:30 Shaye made them a prank, changing the rhythm. They looked confused at first.
охуительно
clarinet guy has had a bit to drink i think...
