After getting over the hype of going from console to pc, Im inclined to tell you its fine to enjoy gaming on whatever platform you can afford. You can justify a bunch of arguments for every platform. Even PC gamers argue over which pc parts are best and roast each other for their choices. So do yourself a favor, don't let others make you feel bad if you enjoy console gaming. I havent upgraded my pc from a 1070 because the current market is so expensive. I got a ps5 instead and happy with the price i paid for it as well as the games.

@@RTXRetroGoBut it should be said that PC gaming is in a very weird spot at the moment. On the one hand more and more japanese games come to that platform but on the other hand most modern PC ports (especially UE4 and UE5 games) stutter like hell even on high end PCs.

Because there’s literally no games for console, PC allows you to play pretty my much any game, wether it’s fan made, or a game that just isn’t compatible with consoles, consoles are sooo limited, and don’t have any games that are worth playing, plus they don’t allow you to mod, so if the game is ass you fucked
Thinking of going back to pc like i did in the 2000s the way i use to, plus more controller options, mouse n key, free online, mods, customizations and no backwards compatibility worries, just relive and play everything again on 1 platform.
I’ve been gaming on all of them for a while now, though did start on console until a couple years ago. One of the most touted and oversold features PC players will harp on is modding. In my experience, most of the mods are novelty, one to two play session events that end in three distinct scenarios: You have your fun and forget about it by the next weekend, you introduce all kinds of technical issues and spend more time trying to fix it than playing it, or you are unimpressed that it doesn’t match the description and hype and end up playing something else, forgetting to uninstall it as it takes up space in your PC for months or years. That’s about 90% of the time, and the 10% that it fixes UI, improves performance or translation, or expands on the actual experience of a game (a fan made campaign, a new game mechanic) while legitimately awesome, doesn’t push modding into some mystical space that everyone who cannot do it is robbing themselves of fun for not taking part. Modding is great. You’re not missing much if you don’t partake, considering how many available games are ready to go should you get bored.
I would also like to point out the fact that I just spent an hour trying to get a game that was previously working fine on my PC to work again because it was running super slow and in slow motion. Where is if I had just download it on my Xbox, which is currently is, I would be fine and able to play the game and not have wasted an hour.
@@El_Deenhe literally makes the point in the video ‘troubleshooting’. Console is simply much more Accessible for the average person. A kid, someone on a low income, or simply doesn't have much time to game usually don't have a thousand+ dollars upfront to buy a pc. Since middle school (2002), I've been playing on consoles until about 3-4 years ago when I switched to PC. From experience with both, I can confirm that PC is a double-edged sword. On the one hand, you have far fewer restrictions on what you can play, what you can do, and how good your games can look and run. On the other hand, unlike consoles, if you aren't decent with tech, navigating settings, and troubleshooting, a PC is a nightmare for figuring out why something isn't working because there's a good chance any issue could have at least half a dozen potential reasons for why it's happening.
True but I hate playing a console game and knowing that the graphics could look better if I was on PC. Which is more than a ps5 but at least it can outperform it in most aspects. I’m not saying buying a ps5 is bad, I’m just trying to prove that pc aren’t that expensive because newer consoles come out for like $1000 and go down to like $500 in 2-3 years. So it’s kinda even.
That 2nd part is just not true at all. Consoles didn't "come out for like 1000 and go down to 500." The release date price for both the PS5 and the Xbox Series X was $500. What other $80 a year subscription I would be talking about if it wasn't PS Plus? And PC isn't more expensive short term either. On front? Yeah, but barely, and you get more than the extra you paid. A Ryzen 4500 + Zotac 4060 ($289) + 3P3 Crucial + 16 gigs Fury Beast build costs less than $600, even if you include mouse and keyboard. That build gives you access to not only better performance than a PS5 at base, but on top of that, you get some tools to get DOUBLE the performance using the same graphics settings and native resolution, because consoles use FSR and... that's it. Frame Generation, Nvidia Reflex, DLSS 3.5 and the RT performance the 4060 has are all tools you have at your advantadge. If you don't count how well this card does with RT in comparison to a PS5, you get double the performance, better image definition and around half the input latency (yes, even with Frame Gen on). Turn on RT, and then you get over double the performance of a PS5 (if the PS5 is also using RT), and better reflections on top of that (again, using the same settings), so you're getting what you paid for, and you're going to start saving money pretty quickly. A PS4 is $399 at the very least + 1 year of PS Plus is $80 and buying a game you'll have to spend lile $10, $15, $20, or more (it depends ln the game, and how you got it) on PS5, so it doesn't going to take long until you break even, and then start saving money with PC. I'm talking about short term. The only time when the PS5 is less expensive is on front, when you want to buy a platform to play one game in particular (keeping in mind your experience will be worst).
@@playboss101 You also get Better Discounts with the Subscription and Comparing a top line 2015 GPU to a 2015 Xbox one is like Comparing the best 2019 Phone CPU to a 2019 $300 Phone.

Broke PC games can be just as expensive as console. Besides PC is overall more expensive to maintain. I'm not saying console is better because I think both of them are equally good I'm just saying that the prices of the games don't ruin the whole entire thing
That's just not true. Games are often in sale and if you bought the disc version you can straight up buy used games and have a ton of stores available to buy games on disc
I was into pc gaming for the past 14 years and I came back to console gaming just for the simplicity of it and playing it on my big tv with my oversized comfy chair with my stool. Plus the driver timeouts after having an AMD RX 6700 XT has soured my experience with pc gaming. Too much damn trouble just to play video games
This Short is awful. The PC is the most simple, pick up and play and most powerful device out there even on a budget. All these cons are over exagurated espacally the bulding part where if you don't wanna build it yourself just choose the parts you want and order from somewhere online to build it for you and it still offers a so so much better experience than any console period.
I agree the short is awful, but dude... I get you're trying to defend PC, but you do know that a Zotac RTX 4060 is $279 or $289 depending on the model you get, and any other model you get is $299 at the most? With Frame Generation, better ray tracing performance, DLSS 3.5, Nvidia Reflex, etc, because consoles are using FSR, you end up with double the framerate (higher if you use ray tracing), lower input latency, less artifacts, and better visuals than PS5 for $600, if you make a Ryzen 4500 (or similar price to performance) + 4060 build. Why do you have to go for used parts when new parts are enough to make PC look like a good deal, specially when you take into consideration the thousands of dollars you save during a generation thanks to cheaper games and free online.
@@joseijosei Agreed. Edited my comment to include online building instead of the used parts.
Very true
Only good thing about PC gaming is piracy because it feels like Robin hood to pirate games of Ubisoft Activision Rockstar etc
I would also like to point out the fact that I just spent an hour trying to get a game that was previously working fine on my PC to work again because it was running super slow and in slow motion.

That 2nd part is just not true at all. Consoles didn't "come out for like 1000 and go down to 500." The release date price for both the PS5 and the Xbox Series X was $500. Some people bought a PS5 for up to $1,000 if not more because people would buy them at the actual price of $500 and resell them for much higher. What was it you said? It wouldn't, because you save a much higher amount of money during a generation because of cheaper games. Do the math: if you spend $10 more a week on consoles, how much do you spend in 7 years? What about someone who plays a lot and can save $20 a week? Is that more than 7 years of a $80 subscription?
Edit: Typo.
@@joseijoseiYou spend less on pc though, a lot of games are on sale, or you can get them for really cheap through sites. And you don’t pay for a subscription. Most games on console are full price. In 5 years thats about 600 euros, and you could have used that money for other things. Pc is more expensive in the short term, console more in the long term.
