Dan Patrick started me on LeBatard. LeBatard's irrelevant sports humor is top notch content. Both Patrick and LeBatard are the top of the profession in their different unique styles.
The angst and anger and silliness around the bucket had sorta lost all it's fun when you know none of the guys are ever gonna actually do anything. it's been fun having the goofy punishments and frustration around the bucket back
Years ago Le Batard had an early morning show on ESPN.I emailed him to say : I listen to your show to remind myself things could be WORSE . He read it and laughed. He's a pretty good sport .
if I'm not mistaken didn't they acknowledge it in a later segment? I'll have to look back because it was refreshing to hear they might stop hating on Bonds. ...at least when it comes to the hr king
DP use to use the wheel of shame and they just do the lame pie bit, which would be better if it was a surprise. Either HR put a stop to it or frizzy wined about it too much
Le Batard was actually coherent through the entire segment. He almost made me laugh a couple of times. I think if he actually talked about sports, he'd have a listenable show. But everytime I ever heard his show, he wasn't talking about sports. If you're on sports talk radio, it's customary to talk about sports. The Michele Tafoya fiasco was indicative of everything wrong about his show.

After it became evident that they were out of their league, Dan made a disingenuous, half-assed show of damage control. True, he might not have been the man inquisitor, but the show has his name on it, and he set it off the rails and did nothing to reverse course. I do admit that I never have "gotten" him ...
@@77barrymac I understand that, but whenever I've landed on Le Batard's show, he and his sidekicks are on one of their incomprehensible non-sports shticks. It makes me wonder if they ever talk sports. I just don't get the guy AT ALL. Kenny Mayne was never funny either.
@@jimbrooks9996 , I get that. As much as I like Le Batard in general, and liked his "Highly Questionable" show on ESPN, the show he had on ESPN radio, I wasn't very fond of. In part because of the issues you have with him.
Part of the reason sports shows and sports reporting has become so crappy, everyone thinks they have to have shtick. It’s so lame and boring. Or have sports become so boring that even those involved feel compelled to think they need to act like an asshat?😅
