  • DISCLAMER: Please don't attempt fasting without checking with your physician. Especially if you have a medical history or a history of an eating disorder. Your health is more important then following a random girl on youtube ❤️ This video is based on my personal experience, fasting might not be a good fit for everyone.
    Second week of OMAD fasting! And I feel pretty good! A work week like this would have normally including tons of binge eating junk and takeout every night because I was stressed and tired. Instead I stuck to my guns and I'm so glad I did. Even though I was tired and looked a bit of a mess, my mood was mostly pleasant and my energy levels were steady and consistent.

    "Yes, but later" is the perfect compromise for my brain when it gets fixated on wanting something it can't have! Especially since, by the time "later" arrives, I usually don't really want it anymore and can resist.

    Love that you felt happy and energized! And I agree that staying busy helps with fasting... when I have nothing to do, and I get bored, I feel prone to partake in “boredom eating”.

    i started eating once a day 2 weeks ago too , i started at 300 lbs ( im 5'9) now im at 291lbs , i dont really like sweets at all ( maibe thats why the drastic drop on weight) but i find myself more aware of my body and what hunger really is.
    I started implementing creatine products into my exercise and daily life and i feel much more energized and my sleeping habit is starting to normalize, wish me luck! :3

      Btw if ur having trouble with "sweets" you can get your fix with seltzer water , no calories, no sugar, just carbonated water and flavoring !, its helped me completely cut juices and sodas

    Hi, do you find that eating later, say like 7 or later keeps you awake???
    I've been OMAD for a few days now and I'm eating my meal at "dinnertime", but have been having bad insomnia. Mostly because I feel full and almost caffeinated - and I don't drink coffee! LOL
    I'm trying today to eat earlier, like at 3 or so to see if that helps.
    Thanks for your videos! You are inspiring!

      Thank you Lady Snow. I think it does . . I’ve been trying to eat earlier but it’s been hard with my work hours. If I had it my way I would ideally stop eating at 6 pm.

    I've been into IF in the past few months now and tried getting into more extreme fasting form (OMAD) just a little over a month ago. One absolute thing I noticed is my energy level. It has been pretty consistent all throughout the day. I remember going back to a 3 meal diet when I went somewhere for a 4-day vacation and there had been a lot of mood changes. I felt like I was a bipolar person. When I came back home, I started fasting again and that mood swings disappeared, the energy level has gone back to being consistent too. I've never felt better my whole life. I'm curious though how would it impact my body long term

    • @theadventuresofrah
      @theadventuresofrah  4 года назад

      We're on the same page! Now to see how it impacts long term and if it's sustainable.

    I didn't know how hard it was to fast. But I try it didn't work. I did eat last but I get bored then eat so im totally working on it.

    • @theadventuresofrah
      @theadventuresofrah  4 года назад

      It is hard. . .especially at first. Take it slow and start with a larger feeding window and see how you feel. (and remember not too be too hard on yourself)

      My town is usually very quiet but we have fires everywhere, so I been stressed out I noticed I eat less if my mind is busy. It's bit more easy to. Thank you.

  • @Pickler182

    Are you drinking enough water?? I know it’s a boring question but more times then not, it’s dehydration not sleep.
    Also, are you getting enough calcium, B12, and DHAs.... I’m working on mental and I’ve been vegan for a year. There has been a big difference with adding the calcium, DHA

    • @theadventuresofrah
      @theadventuresofrah  4 года назад +1

      I'm trying to and I take B12 supplements.. .I don't think I'm dehydrated but sometimes I dont drink enough at work. Honestly I've been sleeping 4-5 hrs a night and I feel it lol. But I'm going to do my best to drink more and make sure I'm getting my nutrition as well as enough sleep. 😓

    How many hours do you fast in a day? Or do you fast all day and just eat one meal?

    • @krustyoldhag11
      @krustyoldhag11 3 года назад

      Usually OMAD is fasting for 23 hours and an eating window of 1 hour.
      I personally started with 18 hour fasts and a 6 hour window of eating. Work your way up to 23 hours, then eat one meal a day!

      I would say any underlying medical conditions, or if you feel unwell fasting, or if you have a history of eating disorders. BUT I'm definitely not an expert and I don't want to give you the wrong information. . . so check with your doctor and do some research. There are plenty of qualified people who can give you better info 💖
