- Chevrolet Corvette Z06 vs Dodge Neon SRT-4
Z06 has longtube headers, X pipe, intake, and lower pulley on 93 octane with a 7 speed manual transmission and 1 passenger.
SRT-4 has an upgraded Precision 5431 turbo, built shortblock, full bolt ons, and E85 with no passenger. SRT-4's come manual transmission only.
Race was from 60 MPH

SRT4 Weighs 2900lbs they came from factory 230hp turbo now with 460hp that damn good power to weight. 650lbs lighter than Z06. That little SRT4 to me is more impressive they came Manuel only with 5 speed trans. In this race he didn't win but he kept in it, at Z06 rear bumper. When built right they are fast. I've seen 600hp SRT4 beat 800hp cars. Great race👍

@@AutoGlory That problem today 3500lbs to 3600lbs now is considered light with all that tech extra safety luxury items.adding weight. That's why McLaren 720s and 765LT are killing everyone 3100lb cars over 750hp each. People are more concerned with there infotainment systems than performance. That why you had 16yr old low tech low weight high hp 2.4L SRT4 come close to beating 6.2L 650hp/650tq plus mods almost loose race.

Buddy, don't ever laugh at a neon that is trying to race you. Ive never lost a race in my car and my car is only 300 HP. 4th gear is pretty stupid in Neons.

Owner of z says the car needs to be retuned and he should have been no lift shifting but he doesn't racemuch so..... anyways That srt4 seems to be on point making 460. It weighs 2900 lbs.
