Maybe I missed this and you covered it, but if not: You can get to the recovery/repair environment another way without needing a recovery disk or installation media (most of the time). Simply interrupt the boot process 3 times as windows it trying to start, and it will launch automatically into the repair tools if they're not corrupted for one reason or another. You can use the reset button on a pc, or simply pull the plug, or hold the power button and time the soft-off to shut it off while the loading bar is still animating. On a laptop with a removeable battery you can remove the battery and then pull the cord, or soft-off will work there too. Either way you will end up in the recovery screen and be able to use startup repair/system restore etc without needing a installation or repair disk. In some cases the boot drive is corrupt for whatever reason and this won't work, but it is quicker in most cases and is worth a shot.

I have a USB stick that boots to a Windows utitilty suit and it has chkdsk on it so 9/10 this always fixes a BSD situation, example, chkdsk C: /f

Using "Image Restore" might be an even faster way to get your machine back up and running. Of course, this assumes routine image backups are done on a regular schedule.

Sometimes this is the only way to really fix a PC when every Startup Repairs attempts fails.
The one huge issue is that most users do not do this needed and important image backup....like me.
Last week my C went on a major strike and whatever I tried to fix it failed.
My only recourse was to use a 3-month old Macrium Reflect Image to bring my PC back to life. We users must do image backups more often.
But ..... before I restored my backup image which overwrites my complete hard drive I booted my PC with a third party useful boot-up utility to copy my important Documents folder to an external USB drive. Also any other important files that a user needs.
To help you here there are several and free useful third party boot-up utilities to do this needed operation, the one I used is Hiren's Boot CD.
Highly recommend to have such a boot-up and useful utility on hand for emergency times.
      Being lazy has its repercussions.

I got into using gmail because it was a free service that didn't require a mobile number to setup. That is the only reason I have an email service because I can't afford a mobile phone. Now gmail is starting to give me trouble because I can't give them a phone number because I can't afford a mobile phone. That also means I can't text and I can't do 2-step-verification because I only have one desktop computer. I am worried gmail is trying to get rid of all their users who don't have the ability to provide a mobile phone number and then I am back to having no email at all. Is there anyway around this for someone like me who cannot afford a cellphone because I don't make enough money?

What do I do if gmail starts blocking my email service because I don't have a cellphone? They never required a cellphone number before and this is the only reason I have email at all, because I can't afford a cellphone.
