Such a classic fight. This time reading it I was focused on the crossfire. A ton of people got killed by Hulk in this one. That poor dude that told Thor to run was under that building when it fell. The poor engineers on that train!
Same. It's weird how much more considerate we become with age.
Yeah, Hulk was so focused on proving his point he wasn't even paying attention to all the collateral damage.
Dus True. With age, if I were Thor - maybe let Hulk win and pretend to be knocked out - for the sake of the people, the people, the people! ( Nuclear Man proceeds to blow up fire hydrants. )
Thor looking like He-Man in the thumbnail.
He-man is one of the stupidest names. What's next? She-woman? Male-boy? Female-girl?
Yup , thought the same
Yeah, I guess he does !!
He-man is just a Thor wannabe.
@@aggressiveattitudeera887 HE-MAN looking more like THOR😁
I remember reading this in Thor comics when I was younger
Judging by the intro it looks like someone is happy to have Marvel vs Capcom on a new console lmao. Anyway as I have told you before Hulk vs Thor fights are some of my favorite hero vs hero matchups so I’m glad to see this. My favorite moment in all of their fights was when Thor stalemated Hulk for an hour straight.
Ding, ding, ding ! You nailed it brother ! I saw the announcement and the nostalgia hit me so hard I changed my intro lol. I liked that issue a lot too man ! It was a good fight. I might have to post that too now that you've reminded me !
@@FernandoComicsOfficial
I have never had the chance to play it so I’m definitely gonna get it. It looks so fun to play lol. Really hope to see you cover that issue soon.
With that fighting courage......that's the MIGHTY THOR I remember and grew up on💯 👍🏽
Same here my friend!
Love it when Thor drops the hammer and throws down with his fists
Classic Thor is the best
the way he loves and respect his father is lost nowadays
this was a great battle
Nice intro and keep it up Fernando
It made me sad to see bro. Thor used to be Odin's biggest supporter, even when they fought. Now it's pure vitriol at times.
Thank you brother !
@@FernandoComicsOfficial I was reading a classic Thor comic and I came across this story
When Thor was on earth as Dr. Don Blake. he fell in love with a woman named Jane Foster Odin was furious that Thor chose an earth woman instead of coming back to Asgard and marrying an Aesir woman so he took Thor's power, Thor didn't get angry or hate his father
he was sad that his father disapproved, and when an enemy showed up and Thor was in danger Odin gave the power back toThor and he won
Thor looked at the sky and thanked his father. It is such a beautiful story
To me, this is the best fight between Hulk and Thor. And I don't personally think that Marvel has ever topped it.
I think I would agree. I can't think of a fight I prefer on the basis of sheer action and fight choreography. And the King Himself wrote it, Stan !
You never saw Incredible Hulk black and white issue when he and Thor fought the battle lasted for days.
I would say this one had the most action, but Journey Into Mystery #112 was more epic. Honorable mentions are Incredible Hulk #255, Defenders #10 and Submariner #35.
I never expected old comics to have THIS much action! I rarely read these older comics, so I thought they would spend most of their fighting time chit-chatting each time they throw a punch. I'm mind-blown!
Wow...this was the first Thor comic book I ever bought because of the cover. I've been a Thor fan even since, circa 1987. Good times.
To think this story was made before we made it to the Moon. There’s just something cool about all that. We were writing stories about gods and heroes and extraordinary beings from worlds beyond the Earth and how they can shape us before we finally stepped our toes in the sea of stars above us. After that day, a lot of ‘impossible’ possibilities felt crossed out on the list that day.
This comic was published in 1987.
@@TheVetoSkreeemer Description says 1966
@@teleportedbreadfor3days Iys wrong , that is Thor 385 , came in 1987.

so much happened in such a short time ! Sometimes I forget these characters were published after my mom and dad were born. They're really not too old.
Man now we need a fight count of Thor vs Hulk, a legendary rivalry
I think someone already did a vid on that but it's likely outdated
Imaginary axis did, but it’s from around a decade ago
It HAS been done. Current count is over 25 fights, vast majority are draws and wait for it....Thor actually has a few more wins than Hulk. Facts. In the end, they were intended to be very much on par, but bow who the F knows with all the wacky immortal this, cosmic that lol. Argument is moot.

Well said !!
Thor forever!
Hulk kicked thors ass in this one.
Thor stood up to hulks attacks, and Hulk even questioned why he couldn't put him down.
Great memories! I had this issue!
I'm glad you liked it bro ! I own this issue still somewhere, I was so excited when I found it.
He looks like He Man in the thumbnail lmao
As much of a fan I am of Jack Kirby, I find this to be the greatest Thor VS Hulk battle ever created. As an extra note, this also features Eric Larsen's very first work in Marvel comics, which also makes it a double "key" issue. Vince Colletta, long-time Thor inker for Kirby, also does the inks here. I wish I could own an original art page from this issue. Classic stuff.
Oh, and also scripted by Stan (The Man) Lee. ~😉
I think some current Marvel writers should re-read the old stuff.
I gotta say that both of them were hella flawed in this encounter, Hulk was really wild back then and used someone innocent as a human shield, Thor while still somehow heroic, but his warrior pride just couldn't allow him to lose the fight. I think this is my favourite fight between them, much better than any modern battles between them, where most of them are one sided.
Hulk is a monster after all. But we dont know if he really would have hurt that girl. After all he said he tricked Thor.
yeah bro, I don't think this fight was ever topped. Too bad ! Cates potentially could have done it, but he absolutely nose dived in a mini series specifically meant to show Hulk vs Thor lol. So sad.
Really ? To even think of using an innocent bystander is villainous. This is why I am not a Hulk fan. He is evil. He is a real hero's punching bag.@@Trencher1375
Love the new Intro!! Nice job 👍 Fernando!
Thank you Irish my good man ! I'm glad you liked it bro ! I might switch back and forth a bit but I thought it was neat lol
Oh bleak day! What has empty pride wrought!
In the end its even the Hulk that quits the fight because he gained respect for Thor.
Yeah he backed off when the hammer came back, he's like this is no longer worth it. GG, play again next time lol.
@@FernandoComicsOfficial I think he just wanted to see what Thor was worth without his hammer. Or that was atleast partly the reason.
This fight is better than Thor vs. Juggernaut.
I agree man, this fight is a banger. Written by Stan Lee himself, too.
My man, the new intro is cool. I'm not sure I like it more than the last, but changing things is smart. I also love that you are showing the old comics. #high-five
I can't wait for modern comics to produce quality anymore bro, i'm starving for proper content sometimes hahaha. Thank you man, I'm glad you liked it ! I'll probably swap back and forth a bit !
Awe, man. The new intro is interesting, Fernando. It's hard to top your last one intro.

Thor stay getting his ass bust by the Hulk 😂
But my boy Thor didn't give up the fight even when Hulk smashed him into the ground.
Bruh, they were literally fighting evenly. Thor held back and still didn't lose.

Hulk pulling "The Maestro" on Thor.
While I am fan of both Thor and hulks new design you can’t go wrong with the classic designs
There’s a reason why even today they still bring back the old looks.
Actually, they brought back his classic costume, but they slightly changed his wristbands or gauntlets to Wraps or straps with a red color( thor)
@@jmrjhulk yeah in immortal Thor they changed his normal shirt and pants to a one piece , and added more red tape around his forearm really god design but I think they over used the color red but still good .
Yeah, I love these designs. I do prefer Hulk with tattered shorts for my taste, but I like it a lot.
That's what I noticed too bro, @jmjrhulk, slight changes to the modern design. Looks great though !
VERY GOOD.
Yet another fight in one of the longest hero vs hero rivalries
Hulk is no hero in this fight, and more anti-hero/occasional bad guy in this era
Yes indeed bro. They're up to like 30+ fights by now !
*And i would expect no less... from my great-grandson. May he walk in honor* -We all know who
Jejeje nice Intro
Gracias Dario !!!
I had not seen this Thor vs. Hulk throw down. Always the best fights in Marvel. I think this was why, as a kid, I would use my limited comic buying funds to buy more of the Marvel stuff than DC. In a word action!
I had this comic.
nice intro bro
Thank you my friend !
Hulk in a speedo? Never thougth i see the day.
In the early issues, he was in Speedos a couple times.I believe the issues done by Ditko. They brought them back in the 80's.
It would be more interesting if Hulk fought Blue Marvel(I believe he already fought Gladiator, Hyperion and Sentry).
Maestro Hulk had a very brief fight with Blue Marvel, but yep, no fight between them so far other than that.
Thor issue 385 from 1987.
The series start is from (1966) which is how you label these issues for searching purposes ! To show the start of that particular comic run. It's much more direct than using Volume X in my opinion. But yes, from 1987 is the publishing date ! :)
@@FernandoComicsOfficial
I only mentioned it because I have the issue. It was a really fun run for both guys. About five years of really cool stories.
Hulk didn't seem like classic Hulk in this, but I still loved it.
This was Bannerless Hulk, so he was extra savage in this comic.
@@manofsteel3396 I did wonder on the lil
Trunks. I remember those from his Bannerless days.
Real marvel top level strory
Now this one's a classic that you've uncovered, an epic clash with ever escalating destruction! That part with the train crash especially stands out to me in how it was described, made it sound more monumental then if it had even been the planet or universe cracking apart instead of a train.
Still found it aloof for Hulk to take a random woman hostage to get thor to disarm himself both for his morals and cognitive capacity. Though I wonder if by "trick" Hulk meant he really didn't have any intention of harming the lady and it was just a bluff, cause it *seems* like he at least dropped her pretty rough. I guess he was likely on the more monsterous end of things at that time anyway.
Nope, in this era Hulk was not a hero. He was a rampaging force of nature He definitely had casualties in his wake, though it was pg. This changed as he became more popular but his best runs early on was the jekyll/hyde thing, an anti-hero at best and sometimes villain. They retconned a loy about him He had no healing factor in these days either.
At one point he looked like he was going to use her like a club- that would have been messy.
@@hamsterminatorthis was referenced by the original maestro too.
@@mitchcowan1446in this story, Jekyll was basically absent, when reading the text.
I'm glad you liked it bro ! This is one of my favorites ever for sure !
Watching these two pummel each other's faces is never not fun.
I'd love more fights of this level between the two, but this is actually kind of an oddity. Leave it to Stan Lee to bring one of their greatest fights ever.
Damn Hulk was cutthroat back in the day, about to pulp a civilian lowkey shocked me. This isn't savage hulk blind rage this is conversational hulk. Wanting to be alone but hanging in Manhatten like hes a homeowner!
Yeah bro Hulk was a dick lol. He didn't see those train operators jump out I don't think, he's like "it is what it is" before he threw the train.
If it's a Thor comic...they had to make Hulk appear more as a villian....although the angle is contrary to who the Hulk is.
Okay so the two train engineers are dead then
No sir! They jumped out thankfully lol
Thor da Hulk e Superman le ha sempre prese, comunque vorrei sapere che ripaga tutti i danni che hanno fatto 😂😂
Finally of a honest video of thor losing in this channel
Hulk gave up and retreated 🤷♂️ And threatened a woman to keep Thor from winning from the start. Then admits he's afraid of Thor.
That's a Thor W my friend 🧡
Hope you're doing well by the way.
losing? there was no winner in this hulk was enraged that he couldnt but thor down without his hammer and then retreat cause thor trow is hammer away to keep fighting with his bare hand but hulk retreat they were pretty matched despited hulk is getting stronger as he raged on.
I need to read all of Hulk's fights with Thor, including Banner of War.
Ficam inventando lutas entre os dois, essa é o verdadeiro clássico entre os dois
They did thor dirty but also showed how he doesn't care about who is strongest and how he regret acting like hulk
It’s also a reminder that he never _needed_ Mjölnir to be Thor. Even a great hammer like Mjölnir is simply a tool as much as it is a weapon, but Thor is a god first and foremost.
They didn't do Thor dirty, this was an expected outcome. Neither one was able to overcome the other, but Thor alone was concerned with collateral damage, life loss, etc.
@@teleportedbreadfor3days Yeah but mcu did it better then they ruined thor after IW
@@willchurch8376 yeah true
Hulk doesn't care when he is in control and not bruce
@@guyverjay1289 o Thor está em um patamar de poder muito superior ao Hulk. Sem roteirismos, o asgardiano vence com poucas dificuldades.
Look I'm no expert or anything, but I'm damn skippy this ain't 1966 artwork. This is somewhere in the 80's, I reckon.
The Series is labeled as (1966) because that's when it came intro production, but yeah bro this is from like 83 or something lol. It's just that if you look up Thor (1996) #385, it will take you right to it because it'll cite the start of production for that comic line as well. It used to bug me out too, because the 1966 comic line extends all the way to like early 90's lol.
@@FernandoComicsOfficial Nice. I appreciate the explanation and correction. Keep it up. ^_^
I had actually forgotten the end, that Hulk decisively beats Thor. This was Thor's Cool Hand Luke moment.
Definitely not. Thor batters Hulk in the beginning and then dips when the hammer returns.
That looked more like a draw.
The Hulk ended the fight by leaving. Thor was going to continue fighting...even without his hammer.
@@SonnyWalker-nf6jw A draw where one is battered and tired, and one is fresh and unscathed. This is a conclusive win for me. That's what is mean by the Cool Hand Luke moment.
@Halbared ...I mean, yeah...if we had judges for a fight, but really, the only way to defeat the comic book green Hulk is to knock him out, which is extremely difficult to do.
Just surviving as long as Thor did was impressive. He lasted the Hulk's anger.
That is a rare thing to do in the comics.
The Hulk is constantly regenerating during the fight and getting stronger if he gets angrier.
So, yeah, the Hulk is fresher because regeneration is one of his superpowers.
Issue 385 can't be from 1966.More like the 80's.🤔🤔🤔
1966 is just the start of production year for this comic :) I know, it confused me a bit too lol.

LAST TIME I CHECKED. THR IS A F- T.G. WITH GREAT POWERS. THE HK IS A HUMAN MAN INSIDE. THE HK CAN GET HURT, BLEED, GET TIRED... BTW THR CAN FLY.🙄
This battle is a classic, but I still think that Hulk taking that woman as a hostage is completely out of character ...
Peter David's grey hulk was a very nasty customer. He was sometimes compared to Mr Hyde or sabertooth.
It would only be completly out of character if he had actually followed up on his threat.
@@Trencher1375maestro: I’m not bluffing this time.
To be fair to Hulk, I don't think he'd have done it. He ran into a couple earlier in the comic and just scared them half to death by smashing the ground in front of them. Still though, low blow Hulk lol. Traumatized that woman for sure.
I agree. Doesn't really sit right.
😂😂😂😂😂😂good won hulk
The good old days. Just a straight up slugfest. Hulk is sick of Thor's arrogance, gets focused on taking Mjolnir out of the fight. He goes dark & threatens to harm a woman, then doesn't notice the collateral damage. Hulk is only focused on proving his point. Thor won't give up, even when his face begins to look like hamburger. Good times.
If Thor had Stormbreaker and Mjolnir in both hands,he’d beat the Hulk decisively and quickly.
He was beating Hulk with Mjolnir alone at the beginning of the fight. He doesn't use Stormbreaker in the comics, as it is Beta Ray Bill's weapon.
In a much older video you concluded that this is a win for Thor. I wonder if your opinion changed or if you still think that!!
Hulk was the one who forfeited, and nothing said that this was an unarmed battle to the end (no referee, no ring, nothing), hulk simply wanted to show h2h superiority (which he did).
I still think that bro ! Thor was on his feet, conscious, ready to continue, even with fists, and Hulk turned tail and ran after he saw Mjolnir come back. To me at least, that's a forfeit, even if Hulk was definitely winning the physical fight.
@@FernandoComicsOfficial basically what happened this fight 👍.
Ah yes when battles spanned many pages, unlike the one page stuff we usually get today. And when both of these characters were accepted as at the top of the heap of powerhouses. Thor stands toe-to-toe even without Mjolnir and both trade back and forth. Stan Lee himself said they were evely matched so all the uberfans can stfu lol. What I like most is that Hulk was NOT the hero, not the good guy, and even Thor doubted his motives to keep fighting with all the destruction. Hulk was always best when he was a force of nature. Look at his treachery and threats to kill the civilian woman!!! All the nonsense that he never killed innocents was a BS retcon. He was an anto-hero, a Monster who you could feel for in his aad moments, but not always rooted for. I wish we still had this todayz instead of Hulks downgrade in the MCU and Thor being disrespected all around since the Ultimate U and Jason Aaron's run in 616 rewrote newrly everything about him and Asgard lore :( The good ole days.....sigh.....
The comic says this hulk doesn’t have banner’s influence, whatever that means.
yeah bro, today's fights are like a single punch each and then a comment about how they'll finish this next time.
What good times when the fights were that long, it was shown how the characters moved and walked from one place to another, you saw more punches and kicks than the ones we currently have, which are literally a measly fight panel🙄, Aside from that, the fight makes clear something that to this day is rectified, the Hulk is superior to Thor in physical strength, Thor himself has said it, edit: good nostalgic intro, especially that Thor doll that seems to please at the right moment 😂
Thank you bro ! I'm glad you liked it man !
I hate how they made the Hulk look like a bad guy in this one. He almost never wants to fight anybody and he would never even HARM an innocent citizen to get advantage at anyone let alone threaten to kill one even if it was a bluff. This is a good battle I will admit....but it's a terrible story making the Hulk into a bad guy.
Edit: oh.... He didn't have banner inside his head therefore he didn't have his influence... yeah nevermind I understand now 😁👍
