PROPERLY wearing PPEs require training on how to put on and take off. N95 masks require fittings. Can't just grab any mask and expect it to fit or protect. Can't just throw one on either.

That is why, as a grocery store/big box store employee, I have to wonder why people insist on bringing their children to the store with them: children touch everything constantly, including their faces. my father is an architect at this hospital, he has multiple underlying health conditions and has to work extremely close to all of this. I once visited this hospital and did some work in the lab that they had shown where the testing was going on. The lab was very busy when I was there so I can only imagine how it is now

PROPERLY wearing PPEs require training on how to put on and take off. N95 masks require fittings. Can't just grab any mask and expect it to fit or protect. Can't just throw one on either.

The hospitals should have been reserved for the most severe cases, and for the remaining comunity. Warehouses and field hospitals should have been for Mass testing and care. They are the ones at fault for this problem of under supply.

You're an idiot. First of all hospitals are private corporations and thus are responible for themselves. The hospitals not having proper PPE is the hospital boards fault, and on one else's. Underfunding of hospitals has nothing to do with Washington DC or the federal government. The ultimate responsibility for NYC hospitals not being equipped properly falls on Mayor De Blasio and Governor Cuomo. Get your head out of your ass! Highest taxes in the country and they cannot equip their hospitals or emergency responders with the proper equipment.

im in the uk, and i combine everything into one. we are allowed out once a day, so i walk the dog to the post office, to post my ebay goods, while im doing that i do my shopping, then walk home with my dog, limiting my time out

Shopping daily is a risk, here in the States we can go a week or two without trips to the store (if only people would actually DO that instead of being out and about, spreading germs as they go). Everything someone touches can hold germs that are moved to another surface with the next item touched. That is why, as a grocery store/big box store employee, I have to wonder why people insist on bringing their children to the store with them: children touch everything constantly, including their faces. The toy department is just a waiting hotbed of germs, as every bored child that has come through the store must stop and touch, play with and contaminate everything within reach. People need to do a lot more staying home.

my father is an architect at this hospital, he has multiple underlying health conditions and has to work extremely close to all of this. I once visited this hospital and did some work in the lab that they had shown where the testing was going on. The lab was very busy when I was there so I can only imagine how it is now
