@@HandlewasNoThey literally plead guilty in 2004 to criminal price fixing of diamonds. They still control about 40% of the industry but my point stands. There’s no shortage of supply. Basic economics: decreased supply, increased demand = higher prices. If that metric held true for diamonds, the price would drop a lot. Rubies, saddlers, emeralds, etc - those are rare and worth money. I literally work all over the world - 40+ countries a year. I’m a lot of things but uninformed isn’t one of them.
In the high end market it's not real.
High end diamonds ~ big,clean,beautiful colored rare diamonds such as red,pink,blue,purple,orange,vivid yellow, green ... are very rare.
Low end diamonds, below K color with lots of inclusions of course you get a lot ,that's why they're cheap.

You cannot go into negotiations without a firm stop. Her open was 10500, she should’ve had a hard stop at 10k as it took her time and effort to acquire the piece and needs to make a profit. She isn’t a true negotiator she’s too soft. He would have paid the 10k if he wanted it. She got got on that deal. He basically robbed her.
Also 10500 is just one rung above her hard stop. 10750 would have been better or 10900

I bought a 12k 5ct eternity band ring on sale for 5,800 and a matching 5ct tennis bracelet for 2,900 both vs1 clarity on sale now I have to get some diamond stud earrings I'm thinking 3ct for 5k-7k. You file for a resellers tax certificate which is tax exempt !
I walk into Microsoft, Apple, Kohls, Best Buy, BJs , etc and I don’t pay taxes, Black Friday everyone hates me because I walk in point at 2 employees and say I need your help and walk around & I buy entire displays Apple tablets, iPhones, ring doorbell systems, Amazon fire sticks , smart watches , fitbits , Xbox & PlayStations , I get brought to the front of the line and I’ll spend $100-200K in each store and I don’t pay a dollar in taxes!

@@joshuabenten4479 exactly my point. I once purchased for $7,500 a 2.2ct modified square radiant stone, the Chubb Appraiser appraised the stone for $62,500 within 4 days of me purchasing that stone. Obviously there is a slight discrepancy in value.
