I volunteer to be excommunicated, I’ve sinned A LOT and these sins involve women, booze, gambling, and taking the Lord’s name in vain but I can’t find anyone who is interested in kicking me out of the church. As far as I can tell they are only interested in kicking people out involuntarily and only if there is some profile involved.
Things are going to change with Oaks according to his PowerPoint…..He’s wanting more membership councils and excommunications because members who commit “grievous” sin need to suffer more. He’s tired of leaders being empathetic and excommunications are down. Another reason I cut ties just about 6 months ago.
Your reason for leaving the church is rare. Most people leave after discovering the true history of the church. Good for you for being true to yourself and choosing to leave for not wanting to do it.
@tgesauntelias the reason I gave for leaving is a bit of an inside joke. At one point, the president of the church said that those who doubt their faith are just lazy learners and lack disciples and they can’t exercise a particle of faith and there’s a common trope among believing members that when someone leaves it’s just because they wanted to commit sin
I do wonder how many people do go through the entire process, even work in the Temple once or a few times, then just quit and never tell anyone? I’ll bet there are many converts who leave soon after.
I was baptised and confirmed in the Lutheran Church. Pastors in the Lutheran Church have a Master of Divinity degree. They study the Bible and also study Hebrew and Greek to better understand the Scriptures in their original languages. What qualifications do bishops have to lead people in the church?
I have it on good Authority, that many bishops are chosen based on the fact that they pay a large amount of tithing compared to their counterparts in the congregation.
I wish I could do animation- I would love to make a skit of Jesus stopping Mary, the adulterer from being stoned to death. But it’s Mormon Jesus. So he goes over and stops the people stoning her, but hands her a letter to a disciplinary council. But Jesus has to question her about if she has been drinking wine or wearing the correct underwear- as well as her sexual sins. To deem her worthy or not. Of course she isn’t- but she has to go sit with Jesus and all his disciples who then proceed to list every one of her sins, write them in the sand, and cast the first, second etc etc stone. And cancel her from eternity with her loved ones. What would MORMON Jesus do?
It's a very honest video. Thankyou. Is there a possibility you would be able to check out the nemenhah records (book, second complete edition). The native Americans released it themselves. Is fascinating how much the church seems to worry about it. Maybe because it shows how important women are.

I love the fight club reference. So many of us show up unknowingly to the temple but if I’m going to fight club I know I’m gonna be fighting.
Megan you saw someone leave? That is epic! And so sad, who was more traumatized that day? These systems are very destructive for a lifetime ♥️
I am loving this series. The stuff you describe is common, where judgy people exist, which is everywhere. I love how you are inserting the humor.

@@Third_Verse oh. Ok. I wasn’t judging I just knew it was a rare type of reason. I missed your sarcasm.
Once you see the Mormon temple garments how can you take anything in the religion (cult) seriously?

Good question 😂

@@Third_Verse wow. So they just pay for it basically…. 🙄
@@Third_Verse I’m shocked! Shocked, I tell you! 🤣
Well … weren’t you a bit feisty tonight? Lol. Loved the humor.

They refuse to tell you who told on you.

Repentance is what son requires. Big sins require membership councils. But you probably knew thst
