The 5LS is such a unique club. I desperately need a low-forward CG but hated that those usually meant inherently less forgiveness. I love my 5LS - played it all summer.
Just switched to ZX5 MkII from Ping LST - Unreal difference - Srixon is way longer and straighter - Paired with 6-X Ventus TR blue..... Amazing difference - can't wait for next season already!!
Got fitted for mine at that start of these year at my local club champion. Have absolutely loved the driver, but the sleeper has been the matching 3 wood. That thing is a beast!
Would love to see Mikey test the Tour Edge E723, especially with the Autoflex. Ping G430 Max forgiveness but in a normal weight head. It could be the ultimate forgiving bomber.
The zx5 has been in the bag most of the year. This head has been really good for me. It really wants to go forward. I’m still trying to find the best combo but I’m pretty set on the head. The front back dispersion is really good and it’s got enough loft on it to keep the spin friendly for shape. I haven’t had issues turning it over and loosing spin. In minus 1 at 8 up I’m launching it at 16 ish and spinning it 2100 I’m not sure how to improve on perfect. It’s everything I like in a driver. Looks good , sounds great and the heavy head makes for a nice balanced build. Still trying to land on a shaft but evo 6 and tr blue have been the 1a 1b with ZF and GD XC also in the mix. I’m seriously considering the VF. I love the Ventus performance but prefer that slightly softer handle feel. I could very easily go back into a GP as well. Time will tell. It’s hard to screw with something that you’re scoring with for the sake of feels since they are so fickle day to day anyways.
Acquired one of these, basically new, in a trade for a Ping G430 LST. I didn't think much of it. Hit it a handful of times and just didn't love it with the HZRDUS Black in it. Decided since I had an old Graphite Design HD6 that I wasn't using, I'd switch the tip and try it again....and holy crap....this thing is an absolute bomber with that shaft. One of the longest I've hit in recent memory, and it ain't leaving the bag.... So yeah, I have a Qi10LS for sale.
Great effort Mikey👏🙌. I was wondering If you guys have tried Velocore Blu 6S and 9.5°or 10° not sure what was your max height numbers and AOA.👋thx Lukas
Question Mike and Ian. Why didn’t Mikey try a different height tee when he adjusted the Loft? Next time if Mikey hits it high on the Face adjust the Tee too
Is it accurate to say that CG location influences ball flight through influencing Dynamic Loft? Or can it influence ball flight as well if the same Dynamic Loft is delivered?
You mention raising the toe of the driver using the setting's tool. When I was fit a number of years ago the fitter said I needed a 2 degree flat lie on my irons. All these years I've thought the woods should be the same. Is this correct?
Not necessarily. Consult your local fitter to see what'd be best for you! Ultimately we don't swing irons the same way as woods, so how much lie angle adjustment you'd need could be variant. Good question!
Besides the ZX5 LS, some other great low-spin options would be Aerojet LS and Paradym Triple Diamond. At your Club Champion fitting you'll be able to try em' all and more and find out what would actually be best for you!
@@clubchampionmedia I know for a fact I apply too much spin to the ball. My ball launches high and tends to ballon some due to the spin. Hits the ground and stops. I get no roll out at all. Which ls driver is the easiest on the ole wallet? Lol
Tried this driver for a bit -- maybe it was the shaft I got it with but I could not make it work; too often I would almost crown it. I also tried the TSR3 and found it too would not work (weird I couldn't get club speed up) -- ended up with a Ping G410 LST.
@@clubchampionmedia but I just skip to the end, I don’t care for someone hitting a ball, I want to see the numbers. Countless videos of people hitting balls. I watch the videos for information.
Another great video, lads! Mikey shouldn’t focus on speed, rather neutralizing swing path and improving strike location, which would optimize ball flight and increase ball speed through better smash factor/increased efficiency.
@@ariesnc6320 yes, in 10.5°. I get good distance from it and really great ball flight. If I do my part I send laser beams with this thing or can push and pull the path left or right. There’s a par 5 dogleg left on a local course I play and everyone I play with hits a 5 iron for it. I can pull my shot with this because it’s not biased and get a nice curve around the dogleg giving me a great approach shot 75 yards ahead of my buddies.
I heard the ladies call Mikey the Sleeper of the Year
Comment of the year
You booze, you snooze!! 🤣
Yee yee
Man knows how to take a nap!
Srixon getting better and better!!
Great to see Mikey coming out of his shell and really chilling. Great stuff 😂
The 5LS is such a unique club. I desperately need a low-forward CG but hated that those usually meant inherently less forgiveness. I love my 5LS - played it all summer.
this has been my driver since it came out. I crush it and way better than my original Stealth from last year. So so so, good.

What Ping LST?
@@Burnout9388 g425 lst head
Interesting. I went with the 430 LST and have a few regrets about not giving the Srixon a “fair test.”
Funny...I did the opposite. Enjoy your new driver...
@@CR-wf7po G425 wasn’t a great head. The 430 LST is a different animal altogether. I’d put that up against anything

That's so great to hear! Keep hitting em' straight Bob!
I love the addition of Mikey…. Someone with reg people numbers!
The LS has been killing it in fittings for people that hit down on the driver
I think a good idea for a video is sleeper products of the year.
Thanks for the suggestion Henry!
I’ve been looking at this Driver! Currently playing the Srixon Z785 driver .

What are the other best drivers for flattening the ball flight?
Great video

Srixon is making some seriously underrate equipment right now. 5LS, zx7 is about as good of a driver/iron combo in the market
Nice comparison with the Srix… hard to beat that TSR3 which is an absolute monster 🔥🔥
Does this club help keep it low? Because I usually hit it higher
Nice review
Hopefully you will compare it to titleist TS 4
The other sleeper driver of the year is the Cobra Aerojet LS. Time to showcase that again too, fitted to Mikey?
This was the only club to make me seroously consider unbagging the mini 300.

Do you reckon mikey should set up on the toe side more at address?
I have the zx mKII 3 wood and the thing is a bomber!!! For me it was better than the stealth 2 and much cheaper!
Ian Fraser where have I heard that before?
Mikey why aren't you using the Autoflex anymore?
Srixon makes amazing stuff but I never see it in bags in America at least. Max I see is zx7s
Don’t see it on the build bench. Why is that ? People don’t want to buy a Srixon driver ? Or do the oems beat it out during fittings ?
Some people will be very upset this came before a Srixon fairway review
Turn the AC back on fellas, a little glossy today :)
Thanks . Both your guys re looking a little glossy today. ;)
What are the best low spin drivers out there? And for a bonus, which is the best bang for the buck?

Mikey lives in the heel how do you fix that?
Never found a Callaway driver I liked before Paradym. Had to get it in 12* and bump it down to 11 but it's been a beast for me all year.

Wouldn’t this head match perfectly with autoflex
If Mikey could ever get to an in to out swing path he could add more yardage
What does the LS mean?
Low spin
Why don’t they ever show club head speed, that is the easiest comparison to get an idea how it would sit in my hands.
Club head speed is shown at the following times 5.57, 6.52, 8.06 and many more.

Just bought one for…. $270 used and in good shape… let’s hope I can carry further than 275 yards I currently do with the previous gen zx5

Give me that bad boy at 4° plz haha
😂 yeh with a loft sleeve you can turn it down a couple more!!
Koepka won the PGA with it then went back to Sim 2.
I would be all over this driver if they made it left handed.
Flew under the radar in Oz coz wasn't released here with the other Srixon models. 👎
Unfortunately not available in Australia. Srixon rep said - not worth for Srixon to bring it here, as we are a very small market for sales.
Brooks would disagree
Brooks is a twit, in case you haven't noticed every single time he opens his mouth.
So if you already have a lowball flight with a driver are you better off with the model that is not LS?
Depends on how high you spin it!
seems to be pretty spinny as well..lol@@clubchampionmedia
