I went to an interview last week, and days later, I got seven different recruiters from different agencies calling me and emailing me for the same position and said “position just open”. I can see why competition is tough. This is not the first time it happen with me. One recruiter seem surprise when I told him the job number with the exact job description.
@@BenTalksTalent I contacted my recruiter and he said I’m still in the consideration phase since they have others to interview. He told me not to submit any duplicate submissions or risk getting rejected . At least I’m still in their consideration pool.

I recently interviewed for a company and mentioned an industry average as the desired salary before the interview began.. everything went well and I have a strong feeling that I will get the offer.. but on research and interviews with other companies I realized my worth which is 10K - 15K more than what I mentioned in the interview. Please advise if I can put that as a negotiation once I get the offer!! Thanks in advance 😊
This is a tough one and I may need to make a video on it, but I would say when it comes time to get an offer, counter it and say that after gaining more info on their benefits and role responsibility, that if the number you will need. I would also recommend watching my salary negotiation video!
Do hiring managers feel bad about having to reject some candidates, maybe some good ones, but not the best one? Do they feel the gravity of decision, or do they condition themselves to not think about those who missed out? Also, do you recommend a candidate who missed out to another company in the same space, where they might have more success getting the job there?
As someone in the industry who a hiring manager, yes, I do feel bad when a second place doesn’t get the job when they are super good. Most often they won’t send them to a competitor. Same company I see it a lot.
Ben, I quit my current job because of my manager partaking in unethical practices. I have a phase 2 interview with Apple this week and in the first interviews I told them I worked at the job that I just quit, if they ask about that job or why I left it what could I say?
Got rejected from apple in the second round video interview for the second time after acing the phone interview. Did better than I did the first time but going to try again. Definitely gutted and disappointed but trying to keep my head up and wont give up.

Companies really shouldn’t do that. It really muddies the water and is bad for candidate experience.
