Very nice braid out, if you continue to do these during the winter months your hair will grow way more and retain moisture and you will have banging hair by spring.
I Love doing Braidouts! I usually do 4 braids as I prefer a looser texture. Currently I LOVE The nature’s little secret Irish moss cream for my wash n go’s and braid outs. I have Tay to thank for that! I’m rotating that and probably the aunt Jackie’s don’t shrink gel. My mom taught me how to braid but since that was a long time ago she doesn’t remember 😂
Hey if it works... And I don't think your hair can look bad. I can't wait for mine to grow out... And see if this would work for me... Thanks for showing how.
My daughter has your texture hair and I like the braid out in her hair too. I like the braid out on you. I can tell a difference. If your hair feels dry try putting a little oil after you put your cream.
First of all I learned how to braid with my barbie dolls and second of all you and ur mom are super cute together and I love ur videos and third of all I want to say you looked amazing in the outfits for rebdolls so happy to see someone rocking clothes for a company that also caters to cute plus size clothes. ❤️❤️
I think my mom taught me how to braid...I should start doing braid outs again for elongation and to help my hair grow down verses out..good results I have got to get my hands on that Irish moss styling cream
This technique has been so helpful to me! I first heard about it on Live about how it stretches your bangs down. The back of my hair grows so much faster than the front so now I twist or braid the front half when my hair is almost dry and let it out the next morning. It evens out the length! Thank you, Tay!
I love braid outs better then twits outs too. I've tried twists outs on my hair and I didn't like the results. I did a braid out on my hair while damp but used a leave in and cream and it came out great. When I do cornrows I let them stay in longer then take them down.
I absolutely love your curls. I've been doing this for years and it works really well. Sometimes I braid it and take it out 30mins later. Still does the trick! Anyway, I've subcribed
I'm like you - I can only braid. Nothing else, no corn rows etc. I think my mom showed me how to braid,,, that's all she knows ..... We are all in good company
I don't remember who taught me to braid either but I was very young and practiced on every doll, pet, or handful of grass I could because it was fun. I have done a similar method with 4 braids at night for my wavy/curly hair, especially when it gets long, to get more definition and also just to avoid tangles in my sleep. Looks great with your texture!
I mainly do wash n gos now because they’re faster, and I get less tangles. My hair takes forever to dry so twist outs and braid out haven’t been my go to lately because lack of time.
Your hair looks really good with the braid out. I do wash and gos with my hair right now but I would like to get back to braiding my hair and twisting my hair especially since fall and winter are on the way. I learned how to braid my hair when I was younger. I practiced on my dolls and then my hair. I'm still not very good at it but practice makes perfect right? Tay which do you prefer better Nature's Little Secret styling creme with the Irish Moss or Curlsmith's curl souffle-I believe it has Irish Moss in it also. Thanks
Right now I prefer the Irish Moss styling cream because I haven’t tried this using the Curlsmith Soufflé! I’m going to do it tonight and give you an update!! -TA
TaylorAnne, we call what your doing plaiting the hair. It’s the favorite style l used with my daughters when they were growing up. Since you have naturally curly hair l wonder if you could get away with just using jojoba oil or some other light oil since your plaiting every night. Just a thought as you and your lovely mother are truly curl naturals. Your next day look is gorgeous ♥️
Exactly. Jojoba oil or the blue Curl Mix oil is what I use if my hair is a little dry. That is usually by the 5th or 6th day. Otherwise, it's typically still moisturized and I can just braid it or twist it again for the next day.
Looks great! So no big chop just yet, although if you choose to pop up with short hair one day that's cool, too haha I used to braid my hair to get some elongation when my hair was short. Now, my hair is long and I've grown to dread removing braids (at least small ones) because the takedown takes too long. I prefer 2 strand or 3 strand twist outs.
Love this! Sometimes when I do braid outs I get a bit of a separation line in my hair where the part is in the back. Do you get this/what do you do about it?
I probably learned to braid making friendship bracelets. My mom just sat down to teach me how to corn row on New Years but I’m still working on it because I’ve never tried to do it on my curly hair (my mom’s hair is relaxed)
I had plenty of barbie dolls to practice on when i was younger. I would be in the dolls hair practicing almost every single day. I also had my older sister to practice, just love playing in her hair. I swear I thought I was doing something .
I don't know how to braid or twist to the scalp on my own head yet, but I can do flat twist on other people, albeit loosely. Let your mom be your guinea pig so you can see what your hands are doing at the scalp.
Thank you for this video! I’ve been so curious about how you do it. Question - would you ever get bangs again? The grow out is tough. I’ve been debating myself. Great video!!!
So I obviously don't know what a twist out or braid out is because this is what I have been doing since I was in my 20s. I didn't have a name for it until I found the "natural hair community" 10 years later. I either do 2 braids on dry hair with product or do twists all over on dry hair with product. If I want beach waves then I'll do two french braids instead. Someone please tell me the difference between this and a braidout. Oh and I learned how to braid when I was 13 by using my little cousins barbie doll (I was a tomboy and never wanted dolls). My mom doesn't know how to braid.
No, it’s not busted. It came out cute. Check out “Krazii Curls” RUclips channel. She’s EXTREMELY talented and innovative. You’ll get great ideas and learn a lot from her.
My mom and grandmother taught me how to braid at a very young age so happy they did because I have 2 girl's now and their hair is always popping 😁

I love doing 4 braids now!! It is looser and a bit fluffier. Great products in rotation!! 😆

Alright gonna try a braid out again when I get off this am. Your braid out looks really good. Pray for me!!
What you are doing is called plaits. I do my daughter’s hair like that all the time . More plaits though a lot more than 6. Beautiful ❤️

Hi!
I say it's a Platt n go.
I love this look Tay.
Long hair don't care, tousled curly hair style.
You're a natural beauty😊
My sister taught me how to braid!
I love that cream
You should definitely put Braid n Go in the title. It’s gonna catch on! Also, I never realize how much you favor WiFi until you had your hair braided!
I don’t see it! 😩😂 but I definitely get told this haha -TA

@@MADCURLS Thank you so much for replying! I hope your test goes well with the Curlsmith curling souffle!😁
Thank you for this! I’m going to try it😊

Ohhh plaiting!? There are so many different names haha. Interesting! I’ll have to give the oil suggestion a go!

Maybe a foam would be good for your braid & go!
That’s very cute !

Love this! Sometimes when I do braid outs I get a bit of a separation line in my hair where the part is in the back. Do you get this/what do you do about it?
Yes i just pick out my hair around the line to get rid of it :)
Issa look
My mom taught me how to braid when I was 8 ❤️ then I took my skills to my barbie dolls hair lol and perfected it that way 😊 looks cute Tay 💁🏽♀️
I love your tutorials. What cream are you using for your curls?
Thank you!
Natures Little Secret - Irish Moss Styling Cream
I taught myself to braid when I was a teenager using my two older sisters and cousins as giunea pigs. Good jog, Tay.
😍TOO CUTE! I luv it! ❤
I think that’s a great idea 💡. I have to try it ♥️
Have you tried preserving the style in a pineapple with a satin scrunchie and a satin scarf instead of braiding it up every night?
I probably learned to braid making friendship bracelets. My mom just sat down to teach me how to corn row on New Years but I’m still working on it because I’ve never tried to do it on my curly hair (my mom’s hair is relaxed)
So funny! I was just thinking about u guys and wishing a video would come out today! Thanks!!! Love u ladies!!!
I like it!!!:-)

Aww Doggyness 😍😘 & you’ve inspired me Tay to try a faux braid out lol. Thanks girl!
