That was a nice tour, haven't been to Canberra yet but wouldn't mind visiting eventually, thank you guys for taking the time, cheers from Paraguay, big thumbs up!
I think the debate has been raging for a while, but in the interests of social distancing we were all meant to walk one way. Not sure it’s happened in practise though! 😂 Thank you!
@@TheHassewells I lived in Griffith/Kingston for a year until Feb. Then, if including the wetlands, I'd be anti-clockwise and if just the southern parts could be in ether direction. (Now moved north and have to drive to the lake for that walk!)
I live in Wollongong and frequently visit Canberra. Such a great city - we're actually considering moving there in a few years. Been to all places you mentioned except for Mount Ainslie and the Botanic Gardens - so I guess I need to go there next trip. Love the Arboretum - so looking forward to watching it grow and develop over the next years/decades.
A) dress for snow, has become a gem ,a tolerant gem ,& 2 hours to coast or snow, well presented police persons ,you can smoke, but not buy pot ,another of its idiosyncrasies,
Canberra is always cold as hell. If you do not like cold weather, do not enter into Canberra. It is like sitting on iceberg. Its always cold except couple of month in a year around January, Feb
True. COVID + winter = boring/dull. Way more things to do in the warmer months here. Unless it’s MTB, hiking or farmers market - there isn’t much to do at the moment. Festivals, night markets, Xmas in July etc all cancelled for now.
Been stuck in this dump for 10 long years… It has good mountain bike trails and a good job - but that’s about it. Except rampant delusions of relevance and a chronic inferiority complex…
About to move here for uni, thanks for the video. Hopefully get some time to visit the spots you've highlighted.
wait....i think i know the bloke in this video IRL.
I hope you enjoy Canberra! It's a lovely place to live :)

Thank you! Oh yay! Great timing. Our next video coming out Saturday is about things to do just outside Canberra as well :)
The Hassewells that’s awesome!!!! Can’t wait!
Nice video guys!! I've been keen to hit up Canberra for a while, and I reckon your list might come in handy!!
Thank you! A second video on things to do just outside of Canberra went live today too for some extra ideas :)
@@TheHassewells awesome!! I'll check it out!
I have visited Canberra in 2018, for a weeks.
The cool "pine coney things" are Banksia 😁
Jesse has a way with words doesn’t he? Haha!
Your editing is amazing. Marking on the view and some of the transitions well done. Hope U get more views
Thank you! This one was my first attempt at anything outside of music, so I’m glad it isn’t unwatchable! Haha
great video.
Thank you! 😊
@@TheHassewells all good. Just moved here from Sydney. Need to check out ainslie tower!
Going to canberra tomorrow from Campbeltown can't wait
Enjoy your time here!
Walk clockwise (only?) round the lake? Well, I didn't know that ....
Splendid video btw

The "walking clockwise" thing was only during the height of covid. Canberra was one of the safest place to be during the pandemic
10:43 What do you mean "don't like beer" ?
Haha! Well I both can’t have beer and don’t like beer, but don’t worry, Jesse more than makes up for my shortcomings. 😂
@@TheHassewells I'm just joking. Great video :)
You have the best voice for BTN (behind the news)
Haha! Promising new career for me perhaps?
@@TheHassewells Yup!
Hello! I live in Canberra too!!!
Excellent taste you have ;)
@@TheHassewells :) I was born here!
But you stayed! Haha! I wasn’t born here, but I saw the error of my ways :p

We're moving to Canberra next year. Filipino here. :)
Canberra is a great place to live. I think you'll like it!
I love living in the capital. Such a well made video! 😍
We do too! Thanks!

Puffer jackets are part of the uniform. I hear you can grow your own plant- so I guess that solves the issue. haha!

On the other hand if you love the cold, it’s paradise 😉⛄️
Nah, its BEAUTIFUL in spring, and even better in autumn
15 degrees is not cold... Y'all are wildin'
Haha. I agree! But a lot of Aussies would think that’s pretty chilly
- 2 this morning ....
Canberra is coldest in winter & hottest in summer in whole continent..... ㅜ.ㅜ)
It definitely gets a good range of weather! haha. I love the cold though
Nope, you didn't consider Perisher ❄ or Coper Peady 🔥
Good video but Canberra looks boring.
Haha! That gave me a good belly laugh. There’s something to do everywhere if you look hard enough :)
True. COVID + winter = boring/dull. Way more things to do in the warmer months here. Unless it’s MTB, hiking or farmers market - there isn’t much to do at the moment. Festivals, night markets, Xmas in July etc all cancelled for now.
That’s because it is dead boring
