Gary Kelley demos a pastel drawing for Syracuse University illustration students. The image is for his upcoming children's book on Harlem Hellfighters. The Harlem Hellfighters was an African American soldiers of the 369th Infantry Regiment in World War One. In the name of democracy and freedom these American soldiers put their lives on the line during widespread bigotry and racism.
