- Hello friends
In today's tutorial, I will show you how to make a copper wire charm bracelet. With this step by step beginner tutorial, I'll show you how to make the chain, the charms and how to make knotted headpins for your beads.
A really sweet and fun project, perfect for the beginner.
You will need:
1mm (18g) copper wire (or any wire of your choice)
0.6mm (22g) copper wire (or any of your choice)
Flush Cutters
6 step pliers (mine are 2-9mm)
2 x chain nose pliers
Beads of your choice. I suggest no larger than 6mm
Ruler
Bench block and hammer (optional)
Have fun with this project and make LOTS and LOTS !!!
Sam

Love it !!! Absolutely gorgeous. Love love the knotted head pin idea !
Thanks so much! 🤗
Brilliant tip about opening the coil to give room for the flush cutters. Thank you for all of your helpful tips and terrific designs.
Glad it was helpful! And thank you for watching ☺️
@@Lindasinish the tips are priceless!
Just tried it. Genius!
I will make one of each of these for ALL the little girls in my life!!! Thank for sharing dear Sam !!!!! ❤🎉❤🎉
@@pinaspeziale2439you’re so welcome 🤗
Samantha, thank you for another wonderful video! Your ideas are fantastic and your ability to deliver clear, easy to follow directions is spot on! This little bracelet would also make a lovely necklace by just increasing the amount of links on each side, with the same amount of charms.
It would make a lovely necklace, absolutely 🥰 Glad you enjoyed the video
By the way I made a necklace with all the different links you made, 3 of each kind with sparklies, turned out beautiful and unique. Thank you for teaching them❤
Oh that sounds amazing! 🤩
I read, lots. I have my favorites that I read over and over through the years . And with each read, I find parts of the story that I've missed before. It's like a friend that I get to know better as time goes. That is the way I feel about you Sam. Each tutorial brings out a little more of who you are. I only wish we lived down the way from each other so we could have a cuppa together.
And I love love love this bracelet! Thank you!
Joyce… you should also WRITE lots 🥰 I do hope you write… the few words you’ve written here are some of the most beautiful I’ve read in a long time. And I thank you so much for that 🥰
@@samanthalatimer1 people have been telling me I should write for a long time. It's as if I get tongue tied when I try. Maybe some day when I grow up. I'm 67 now so i have plenty of time. Thank you.
Love the coil trick! I just bought some double flush cutters so this makes it even easier! Thanks
You're welcome!! ☺️ I’m glad you enjoyed the video
I love this charm bracelet! Thank you Samantha!
You’re so very welcome 🤗
Great jump ring tip. Thank you for sharing. I follow a few channels and yes she is one Gumnut Lane is great.. 4girls jewelry is another for outstanding tutorials. Thank you for sharing your artistry with us 💜
You’re so welcome. I think Linda at Gumnut is outstanding at free form work. 4Girls is so talented too. So many amazing artists out there, and my little pieces can’t compete… but I enjoy making my simple little videos. It makes me happy 😊 Thank you for watching… it means a lot
I'm@@samanthalatimer1
Agree with you heartily!!! I follow the 3 of these lovely wire wrappers too!!!
Do not sell yourself short my dear friend in Northwest England!!! You are among the Top 3 wire wrapper tutorial Artists that I watch the most!!! 💜❤️💕🥰
Love your videos and your sense of humor! I learn and laugh! I have not heard your dog snore but can imagine it when you share it:-). Thank you so much!
If you watch some of my other videos, you’ll definitely hear him snoring 😂 Poor old chap 😍
Fantastic jump ring tip…I was marring my wire just the other day and was getting annoyed!
Cute bracelet and I’ve started following Linda’s channel now, too!
I adore those head pins… will be adding these to my arsenal, for sure!
Ah Linda is lovely and makes some beautiful things 🥰
Very cute charm bracelet, Sam! Thanks for sharing. The tips with the coil and the knotted head pin trick to pull the wire through with the soft pliers! My knots were always wonky. ❤
Thank you so much, Lisa. As always ☺️
I love, love charm bracelets. I never knew how to make knotted headpins, now I do. I always learn so much from you like the coil tip. I've nicked my fair of perspective jump rings. Now I know how to avoid that. Thank you so much!!!!! I hope you, your family and little Glory are doing very well.
We’re all doing fine, thank you, Jeanetta. Hope you and yours are well 🥰
I love this so much! I am imagining so many seasonal designs from this pattern. Thank you so much ❤
You are so welcome! 🤗
Loving that tip about space to cut the rings! I’ve been trying (and being less than successful) to make my own but that’s going to make all the difference. 😃
It’s a game changer 😍
The
y are very cute, love it. Your little knotted coil can be used for beads with larger holes. Just make the coil bigger. Thank you Sam. Love your pretty charm bracelet. X❤
That’s absolutely true 😍 Such a cute headpin for all sorts of projects x
Another great tutorial. Thanks Sam, can't wait to have a go at making this. Thanks for the jump ring tip and lesson, hopefully mine will be better after this 😁
Hope you enjoy making yours 🥰
Very nice! 😊 I think that spiral separator is fantastic... thank you 😁
Thank you too! 🤗
Thank you so much for your tips; time and lesson.😊
You are so welcome! 🤗
Beautiful... thanks for sharing.. would also make a lovely anklet
Oh it really would! I’ll be making one in silver ☺️
Thank you again! The bracelet is perfect and the knotted headpins are wonderful! And so are you😊
That’s so lovely of you to say. Thank you ☺️
These are so lovely sam. TFS❤
Thanks so much 😊
I admire you all the time for the way you make everything for your projects, such as your charms, findings and things. I'm just learning, so that's my excuse for buying these things, but I am going to start buying more wire and less of those things. I love this bracelet! Very cute!
Thank you so much! ☺️ I love that we can make a lot of our own findings as it also makes a piece of jewellery so much for handcrafted and personal 😍
That's a Pretty change, I buy mine maybe I need to try.
Hope you enjoy making yours 🤗
ANOTHER GGGGRRREATTTTT ONE!! [Of course, at this point, I would expect nothing less, because they are ALLLLLL GREAT!!] Lol! I too, saw the trick about making a bit of space between your coils for cutting & alas, I too, cannot remember from who/which channel it came from! [Although, unlike you, I ALWAYS forget to do it!! T/Y for the reminder! Aaaahhhh! The virtues of aging! "Ain't" it great!🙄🤪🤗😶] T/Y so much! Anyhow, I've seen [& tried] several versions of "security/secure" clasps, however, have not found, really any, that I've found equally secure & aesthetically pleasing.... [W/cold connections ~ no soldered parts but as secure as say a lobster claw clasp. Because I'm constantly losing chains I've made! Again, the aging thing, I'm afraid! 😂] Is there any possibility that you could demo/teach us some of these please???? I/we appreciate all of your tutorials, the time/effort they take, etc, etc!!
💜💜🤙🌊🤟🏻🏝🤙🏻💜💜
Aloha & Mahalo Nui Loa for ALLLLL YOU DO!!
P.S. I've been using wire wrapping & wire jewellery making techniques for over a decade [mostly self-taught] & still learning of course! But, WHENEVER I see that you've put out a new video I'm ALWAYS EXCITED 🎉 because I always know that it will be so GREAT & VERSATILE! You're such an AMAZINGLY ADEPT & TALENTED artist, & ESPECIALLY WONDERFUL at teaching and demonstrating as well [of course!!]☺️💜🤙🏻
Oh you’re always so, so sweet and it’s lovely to hear from you! 🥰 You’re really so kind, as always. I wish I could remember where I saw that trick so I could credit them, but I can’t for the life of me remember who it was. I *think* it was a Russian wire artist, but I can’t really remember 😧 I agree about secure clasps and it’s always hard to make one by hand that’s super secure so I’ll think about doing a little tutorial soon. Hope you’re doing well 🤗 and A'ole pilikia 🥰
Hi Samantha, this was a great tutorial with very handy tricks and it's such a charming bracelet. Thanks for teaching us that knot, I had no idea how to accomplish that.
Summer seems to be over here in the netherlands, too - after just one week. Maybe, with a little bit of luck, we get some more sunny days :)
Grtzz, Marion
Let’s hope we get some more sun ☀️
Thanks for another great tutorial. If someone is worried about the strength of the chain, just use the 2 in 2 weave rather than the one in one. I make 2 in 2 chains for my chainmaille charm bracelets all the time and they are quite sturdy. Never have made my own jump rings, but will be giving it a try.
Great tip! Thank you so much ☺️
Hi Sam, this is a beautiful charm bracelet. I’m looking forward to making some for my family and friends. The little trick for making the jump rings is brilliant!!
Thank you so much for your videos. blessings, Janet
Thank you so much, Janet 🤗
Love your videos, always fun. Nice trick with the piece of wire, can't tell you how many times I either marred the wire or broken a finger nail
Absolutely! 👍🏻 I just wish I could remember where I saw the tip, so I could credit them, but sadly I can’t 😰
❤😂 love your channel and you will do what you want
Absolutely 💯 😜
The rain flower stones you use in this video, remind me of " sherbert pips" sweeties you used to get back in the 70s/ 80s ! Adorable ! 😊
Thanks Sam , another crackin tutorial x
P.S thanks for the tip on seperating the coil. I make hundreds of jump rings by hand as ive started dabbling in chainmaille. I did try a jewellers saw, but couldnt get it to cut the coils so gave up lol x
Oh I loved sherbet pips! We’re showing our age, aren’t we lol 😂 I’m just starting to dabble into chainmaille too so it’s a game changer if you don’t have the equipment (like me). Glad you enjoyed the video 🥰
@@samanthalatimer1 arnt we just ? And neither of us look a day over 21 😁
Yep, tried that piece of wire trick last night and yr right ! Total game changer ! So thanks.
I struggle with quite a few chainmaille patterns, becos im a leftie, so i have to do everything back to front, upside down, and inside out lol... but once i get it the chain maille bracelets are fab. You feel such a sense of accomplishment!
I dont know if you follow anyone in particular for chainmaille, but i highly recommend Aussie maille (ive made lots of hers) shes a great teacher. And shimmery moon maille is really good too.
Have fun ! Cant wait to see some of your maille creations x 🙂
@@lisawears3824 oh thank you for the recommendation! I’m actually working on something kind of chainmaille-y this evening and it’s a bit fiddly 😂 Just faffing with some rings and a copper washer or two 😃 xx
@@samanthalatimer1 oooo ooooo exciting ! youll have to show us ! 👍
@@lisawears3824 maybe Sunday 🤫
Guess what arrived today!! My new Tronex chain nose!!
👏👏
Oh you will LOVE it. Not cheap but soooo worth it 🥰 Let me know what you think of it when you’ve used it
@@samanthalatimer1 Happy 4th of July. I love my new chain nose pliers !!
@@JanetMorgan-qg6fo I knew you would!!! Not cheap, but sooo good huh? ☺️
Thanks!
Thank you so much ☺️
Love it how you make it and what did you use to make it. Thanks for sharing it with us
You’re welcome 😊
Love this bracelet! I'm already enjoying my wrapped wire beads bracelet I made from your tutorial.
I am curious where you order/ find al the beautiful beads? In local stores it's hard to find some good ones to use.
The ones I used in this tutorial, I bought at a bead fair, a couple of months ago the ago. It’s so hard to find lovely beads locally, and I tend to get mine from online stores like Kernowcraft, as they sell such lovely quality beads
@@samanthalatimer1 Thanks so much! I will definitely have a look on their website.
Yes ma’am they are a little pricey but worth it.
Do you ever make jewelry for men?
Not really. I do have a tutorial on a wrap link bracelet which would be suitable for a man, though
Really cute!!!I actually made this chain as part of a bookmark for a friend some time ago...😊will have a go at making this...ps,I now know why my jump rings did not
have two flush edges.🫣
Thank you for enlightening me,Sam!!!
Thank you so much for watching 😍
