Having anxiety, and suddenly realizing that you've been living with anxiety your entire life is a wild, exhausting experience. And the crying when you've completed something that has felt like this big block in front of you that so much of your anxiety is wrapped up in is something I absolutely get. I've done that with so many things in my life. I'm glad you're taking care of yourself, and the new house looks AMAZING.
TWO MONTHS TOO LONG but I know my RUclips family is the most understanding. I love you guys so damn much and am so glad renovating this trailer is behind us - let's fucking decorate finally, shall we?
Rachel you continue to be such an inspiration. I am IN LOVE with the bathroom door!! 😍😍😍 Thank you for sharing your journey and being such a real and authentic person ❤ LOADS of love from South Africa xx
So happy to see you again. Kept checking to see if you had posted but knee something was afoot. I with in mental health and can tell you that facing symptoms head on can be very difficult for most so I applaud you for doing so. Welcome back, you were missed!
Thank you for sharing your journey and your honest. You said something in this video that struck me in the heart - you did it and not without the help of others but you did it. I relate to this big time, we as women don’t give ourselves enough credit for what we can do, especially when the only way out is through it. 🫶
I’m an old lady, but i follow you because i love to see your journey, courage, and creativity. Experiencing the beauty of the desert is a plus as well (from the seasonal green and moist northeast). Excited to share in your next steps!
I’m so glad you’re back. Flagstone did that around my pond and yes lots of learning plus frustration before you get what you want. You’ve persevered and it’s amazing but better yet you’ve learned by working on the trailer before you jump into the house. Everything you’ve learned here means the house should be much less frustration and the results even more amazing. Best of all YOU Rachel did it herself. Another win on the way to find out who you are and love her!!! We all love you.
So glad you are finished with the renovation. The awful part of anxiety is that when you should be able to be happy about an accomplishment it comes crashing in to spoil your joy. When you are in the middle of the struggle, you don't notice it. Just when you should be able to heave a sigh of relief, you can't. I am so happy you are dealing with your anxiety in a healthy way. Sometimes you just have to walk away and catch your breath before you can finish a challenge you have set yourself. So, congratulations on a job well done!
Thank you for sharing your physical reno and internal-reno with us. What a beautiful transformation to see you gift yourself with more grace & appreciation for your hard work & incredible talents. The tiny home looks magical btw. I am in awe of you! ♡
As always, it's a privilege to be brought along on your journey. I have such respect for you, for showing the mistakes and the brilliant moments of inspiration. The RV tiny house is beginning to look so much like authentic Rachel. Pretty great. On a less serious note, that stained glass door is gorgeous especially placed next to the living wall. I love how you embrace styles: romantic, rustic, geometric and modern all in one individual and beautiful space.
This is beautiful. Its crazy how hard we can be on ourselves. Its nice that you were able to move passed that and be proud of everything you've accomplished. You did amazingly!
Your glowing In this video. I think you can genuinely tell that your doing so much better. It’s really nice to see. Also, so proud of you for completing this DIY! It’s really a reflection of your healing journey and it’s beautiful
Creative people often suffer from anxiety. I know from personal experience. We also tend to over think our decisions and change our minds! So many ideas flow through us, by the time we arrive, we want something different! LOL. You have done a WONDERFUL job on your tiny home!! That door is to die for and is perfect for the space! I love everything you have done and it doesn't go unnoticed how good you are to your dogs! Hugs to you!
Progress over completion!! You took the time it needed to be done right in the end rather than make it seem all picture perfect and completely 'done' in one or two videos. Your videos are the ones we all love because it's honest reality you give us and that is what is so rare on RUclips and socials today! Enjoy the little things as they happen!
You got this girl! What you’re doing is not easy and to top it off you’re on your own out in the desert! Excited to keep seeing your journey and thank you for sharing with us ❤️
Creation and progress is such a beautiful and hard human experience and to be able to do it in our world is magical. Being emotional is more than understandable and we love to see it. Doing things for yourself and growing through is always worth it.
I could watch this episode in repeat all day long. I feel like talking with my best friend. Thank you for this, I wish one day to renovate my own dream home too, one step at a time. So proud of you womannnn! Sending TONS of love
Awww, just want to hug you and tell you you should be superproud of what you've achieved. Yes, there have been mistakes, but so what! The wonderful thing about having your own property is it's your own little lab - ideate, experiment and fail, then repeat until you get a gorgeous Tiny house that works for you. Glad to see you back Chica and also the dogs - ya boy Blaze is huge!!!!
You’ve done an incredible job Rach - be proud! We grow immensely when we push ourselves out of our comfort zone, and make mistakes along the way. At the end of the day it’s important to realize that even our worst renovation or build mistake is rather insignificant in the grand scheme of life. Health and happiness are most important. 💝
Everything looks amazing so far and congratulations on sorting out your anxiety and working on yourself. I myself look back and realize how mean I can be to myself also. It’s hard thing to get over. Thanks to you, I have been working on renovating our camper to live in while our new home is being built. I paused about 2 months in (for like 3 months) because things weren’t looking “perfect” or exactly how I envisioned it and I mentally couldn’t get over how terrible I thought things looked, or even what steps to take to get back on track. I picked it back up again, and my theme of the project is “it doesn’t have to be perfect, but it needs to be done”. If I’m struggling with something I say this out loud to myself over and over and eventually I start feeling good about what I’m doing. I guess long story short, it’s hard work and you’re so inspirational to so many people. We all love you and can’t wait to see your next projects. ❤
As someone that also suffers with anxiety it does rob you of those really acomplishing and satisfying moments. Practicing self-care through journaling, gratitude and self praise for what you've accomplished is very powerful but also remember to forgiving yourself for the anxiety as well. What I've found is literally just say in my head or outloud is ''I forgive myself'' acknowledge those negative emotions but don't sit in them. Currently build and designing a greenhouse for the farm I work for so needless to say very excited to see your plans for what you design for greenhhouse. Always happy to welcome you back!!!
Love seeing you back on your feet! Glad you took the time, got help and kept getting through the days. You're not alone, we all love you and we're proud of you. Sending you lots of love
Congratulations !!!!! This is so empowering and fulfilling, I am so happy to have found your channel ! Thank you so sharing and giving strength with your story and journey 🤍
Crying with you girl. So proud of you. Thank you for sharing the reality. It makes the rest of us feel normal. Sending you love and light, and lots of hugs.
Well Done, all your hard work has paid off, don’t be so damn hard on yourself!!!! Imagine how proud you would be of a friend or family member that achieved everything you have , so you need to be kinder to yourself, be a good friend to yourself xxxxx
I'm glad you realizing the amount of people you inspire. The soul you possess is phenomenal in such a way that It makes us want to do better. Thank you for never giving up on your dreams, wants and goals. You a beast. " Another hero in the making"
I share a similar struggle where I can be so hard of myself after one attempt at designing something epic for the first time. Why do we do that?! Hat's off to you, your plant wall is epic!! and the floors!! I love your design style!
You have so much to be proud of and the trials and tribulations can be overwhelming. You've inspired me to start working on improvements to my own little home in the Mojave Desert. I've had panic attacks and anxiety brought on since the pandemic. I took a trip to Joshua Tree last September to partake in a sound bath experience. It helped me greatly.😊
Your honesty is amazing, I am also a person who struggles with anxiety and seeing you work through it and forgive your past self is inspiring ❤️ and never be afraid to cry out of pride, you are amazing, and do amazing things! Be proud! 😊
Congratulations Rachel :) So glad that you are being kinder to yourself. Love the progress. thanks for the update. I was just wondering yesterday if you were okay. Pleased to see you've come so far in all respects. Take good care, x
You're outlook on this is beautiful. I realized a couple years ago that I have also had anxiety since I was little bit never recognized that feeling. It's a wild journey 🤎
You never have to apologize to us sometimes it’s good to get emotional and cry. Your place looks amazing you should be proud. of what you have accomplished. Job well done.
You are truly such a bad ass woman, I’ve been following you for years now and I have watched your journey and I’m so proud of you. So excited to see your future projects. I suffer from anxiety aswell and finally realized I’ve dealt with it for so long without noticing. I started to challenge myself to over come it and I’m doing a lot better. It gets better 💚
The best way to deal with anxiety is to be in the present. When you feel anxiety rising, stop and notice your hand, a tree, or pet your dogs. I suffered for 30 yrs with anxiety and PTSD. It can get better you just have to pay attention and learn to step back into the present. Oh, the crying part is relief. I did the same thing the day I moved into the tiny home I built and I didn't have the a RUclips audience watching my every move. You did great! Enjoy it.
AH-MAY-ZINNNNNNG!!!! You and your friends have done such a great job on the trailer! I'm sure you've learned a ton of things while working and re-working things. That knowledge will stand you in good stead for your upcoming projects. Keep going!!!!! xxoo
I just cant get all how you can do anything!! Very envious❤ It looks amazing. Anxiety is so common anymore - once you recognize it I think it becomes somewhat easier to manage. Hugs and cant wait to see what you tackle next.❤❤❤
Yay! Looks amazing! So proud of you. Love the plant wall, and stained glass door is beautiful! Are you going to put a seal coat or two over the floors? I heard a some good advice recently in regards to anxiety & fear, "be afraid and do it anyway!" What a journey this trailer build was, but you did it!
IM SO PROUD OF YOU !! You did amazing, the whole trailer is mega dope, I would rent it to live full time in a heart beat. You have added so much value to your property ❤❤❤ And I'm so proud of you for working your way through your anxiety and being kinder to you ❤
7 years into my dream project. 7 years of anxiety. 7 years of never allowing people over other than those that needed a place to stay. A contant feeling of defeat and shame. Lack of organization. Every version of me deserves the pride that this video made me feel. Thank you. You shared your vulnerability, transparency, and amazing accomplishments with us. For that,I feel proud of what I've done and excited for what I still can do. We're so proud of you. This is amazing. You are amazing.
Rachel: You have done an amazing renovation on the second residence on your property. Love, love, love the stained glass door to the bathroom. Genius! Give yourself a big pat-on-theback for an outstanding job. Well done, Rachel, well done.
You did the damn thing! It’s so amazing how a process like this can help you understand yourself so much more, and help you be kinder to her in the process. Super proud of you, you beautiful badass. 💜
@@LivingtoDIYwithRachelMetz my anxiety and imposter syndrome have been raging hard since switching careers last fall, coupled with PTSD from some other crazy shit, it’s been hella overwhelming. We all deserve the happy tears at the end of something we worked hard for. 💜
Been waiting for you. But I figured you were working on something big. Mental health is huge and I’m happy you did take some time to address it. Love ya girl🇬🇧 my biggest inspiration 😘🇬🇧
Always count and bask in your wins no matter how small!!! Slow down. Anxiety is a joy killer. Considering the anxiety, you have been able to accomplish so much!!! It's quite remarkable. Be kind and gentle with yourself. XO
Way to go Rachel!!! You are honestly an inspiration for who I am working to become. Love the way the trailer is looking and cna't wait to see each space more in depth :)
You are did an amazing job. And that door oh my god😍oh my god😍 it is so beautiful. You deserve to celebrate and you should be so proud of yourself. I, too, have really bad anxiety and it cripples me sometimes. But I just tell myself if I get something done today, it was a good and productive day. Even if it's a small thing, it's a good day. As always you are so inspiring. Cheers🥂💖🍭🌈🦄💜🤘🐶
Your vulnerability on an open platform is beautiful. What you’ve tackled out there in the desert is nothing short of courageous and I applaud you. I have 3 daughters close to your age, and I’ve watched them struggle with anxiety. I’ve felt it myself. The frequencies on the planet right now are in such flux. You are shining. Don’t ever forget that. 🫶🪷✨
Congratulations! Taking on projects this big is always anxiety inducing as well as exciting. To speak for all of us watching, we’re proud of you and you’re an inspiration. P.s. I need all of your outfits-legit love everything you put together.
I never realized how bad my anxiety was until a couple years ago. Then found out at 32 I have ADHD - my first major project (a kitchen update) I decided I had to finish, and didn’t allow myself to start any new hardcore projects till it was done… that was hard. But 3.5 months later EVERYTHING WAS DONE!!! I can go in there and not see a to-do list forming of all the things I still had to do (even all the little things), and yes, there was tears, that was the first major reno project I had ever gotten done done. It took longer, and I needed to be really kind towards myself and work on the internal negative self talk that always popped up (my therapist told me to name that voice after a bully I had had - because I wouldn’t listen to the actual person if they talked to me like that, so why should I listen and believe what the negative self talk says to me?!). Anyways, long post, but I love what you’ve accomplished and hope you continue to grow and develop!! 💕
Yeow girl. ❤❤❤ You. Are. Amazing! Anxiety sux and it nails the best of us.. I can say you are not alone and it's true but you sure go through it solo. Mad love to you x
I love your style, attitude, honesty…im at least 30 yrs older than you, a beginning DIYr but not afraid to go for it! Having been thru a difficult year myself, your wise beyond your years in taking care of yourself and your helping me with all you share…one question…where and how did u find the trailer and piece of property to park it…is there link to any sites to learn more or can u share how u acquired…? ❤i want one!
Praise be to God for the skills you’ve been given! It’s a great sense of accomplishment to renovate and transform a trailer home with your own hands! Be very proud, soak it in, and give thanks to God. Hugs!!
RACHEL. YOU 👏DID👏THAT!👏 are you kidding me!!!!! It looks so freaking good!!!!!! Do you do online consultations to decorate other people homes… because you should. Love your style. You fing rock!
What a journey you have been on with this trailer .. Making mistakes along the way is only human and at least you learned from them ♡♡♡ .. You've done a great job so far and it makes me so happy that you are learning to not be so hard on yourself ♡♡♡
Hugs You and your friends have done a great job, can’t wait to see what else you do…on your own schedule. Please take some time to recover before you jump back in. Love that stained glass door!
Holy shit, girl, you did it! And you made me tear up when you cried those happy tears. Never get married, stay independent and free! Enjoy being young and powerful! Love you girl! Thanks for the vid! I was looking forward to the next one! And anxiety, I feel you, it’s a major sucker but it sounds like you’re out, so good!
Querida, Miss Wonder Woman, you have power. I have always commented on how strong you are. Anxiety is no joke. It is our personal saboteur that can deflate our soul. What helped me when I was younger was counseling, which helped me learn my triggers. Then I was able to talk myself out of it. At 56, I use cbd for anxietal fears and angers due to Menopause. Anyways, this isn't about me. You are an ARTIST, along with this talent comes perfection, indecisiveness, and then when it is all said and done, the "Wow, look what I can do." The greatest joy is in watching how honest you are regarding what building takes away from you and gives you. Always remember that you are blessed. You are able to do what you love with all its ups, downs, and sideways. Take a bow , you have always earned it. She'd tears because you earned those too. ❤
So exhausting but so happy I have RUclips and my RUclips family.
I’ve always had anxiety with my adhd. Most of the time my adhd is the cause of anxiety❤. It’s not easy
TWO MONTHS TOO LONG but I know my RUclips family is the most understanding. I love you guys so damn much and am so glad renovating this trailer is behind us - let's fucking decorate finally, shall we?

Congratulations girl! Take the time to soak it all in! It's amazing! Look how far you've come!

Always count and bask in your wins no matter how small!!! Slow down. Anxiety is a joy killer. Considering the anxiety, you have been able to accomplish so much!!! It's quite remarkable. Be kind and gentle with yourself. XO

Yes! Be proud of your accomplishments! I am so proud of you, hug!
Thank you!
🫶🏼 thank you.

Thank you! 🙏🏼
Holy shit, girl, you did it! And you made me tear up when you cried those happy tears. Never get married, stay independent and free! Enjoy being young and powerful! Love you girl! Thanks for the vid! I was looking forward to the next one! And anxiety, I feel you, it’s a major sucker but it sounds like you’re out, so good!
what an amazing next step for u. ur killing it, such an inspiration!!
You are an ARTIST, along with this talent comes perfection, indecisiveness, and then when it is all said and done, the "Wow, look what I can do."
The greatest joy is in watching how honest you are regarding what building takes away from you and gives you. Always remember that you are blessed. You are able to do what you love with all its ups, downs, and sideways. Take a bow , you have always earned it. She'd tears because you earned those too. ❤
Thank you for this Denise xx.
Girl, you are an inspiration! ❤ Keep up the good work and try to be kinder to yourself, you have a whole community of followers! 😘
Thank you so much!!
Love and hugs! You’re doing amazing!
Rachel you are freaking awesome every single version of you ❤️
Thank you xx.
This is amazing, you should be so proud of yourself! Love how things are coming along. Be kinder to yourself eh?
Ah thank you!
