I live in Taupo and drive between Rotorua and Taupo all the time... I do not appreciate how beautiful it is!! I walk my dog down at the lake all the time, it's a 7 minute walk from my house... I have to remind myself we are lucky.... take it for granted every day, trust me, you do get used to it!! And that water is so clean and clear... Videos like this remind me to appreciate it!!
If you ever get the chance to drive on the West Coast in the South Island, you will be even more dazzled. I got from the East Coast to the West pretty often for my job and bro that journey got everything. Plains, grassy hills, snowy mountains, (at least in winter) temperate rainforests, gorges, rivers, lakes, and good food along the way. Definitely worth it.
Thankyou brother for enjoying your stay I've lived here all my life and it's soooo amazing seeing you appreciate our country brother mad respect to you brother( Arohanui kia koe) this means "Much love to you"❤🙏
Summer is really perfect in Nz. Especially around the lake you drove around. Warm weather outside, hanging out in the beautiful nature with good vibes ❤☀️
My dude that Taxi driver played you. He just spent 2 hours waiting in line at the airport to try get that big fare to the city. That’s why he gave you that outrageous price.
About our NZ trucks and the lack of nose on the front, from what i can remember its because in America you're typically driving on long strait roads so the long nose can help with the aerodynamics while in NZ we tend to have quite a lot on winding roads and so it would be more focused on maneuverability so you don't cross over lanes in tighter corners. I'm pretty sure this is the main reason :)
Actually almost every mountain around Lake Taupo is of Volcanic origin, the three or four mountains (Mt Pihanga, Mt Tihia, Mt Kakaramea and Mt Kuharua) in front of Tongariro National Park are extinct Volcanoes that haven't erupted In about 10,000 - 20,000 years
I know that rental car contracts in NZ ban you from driving Skippers Canyon (that's in the South Island) and also Ninety Mile Beach (far North). The former is famously dangerous, narrow and windy gravel road on a steep cliff face. The latter, being a beach, has obvious dangers even though it is an official state highway! They're not happy about gravel roads either.
Solid videos bro I’ve been waiting on this trip for ages now it’s great to finally see all the footage and hear that you enjoyed your time. When you get a chance react to this video by Jamie Zhu that just got posted a little documentary on south Auckland. Anyways fire videos I’m hyped as for you next trip down here 💯
It is made for you mai-bro👊🏼😁considering you coming over here to Aotearoa to share your experience of this Land of the Long white cloud, always appreciate you fir that bro' churr🤟🏻

Brother you have Maori brothers and sisters living in America to brother..I wish you got to actually meet Temuera Morrison and Cliff Curtis they actually live in America I believe. Even Taika Waititi lives in America too bro famous Maoris
We here are very strict on Road Safety and everything gets reported if its been weather damaged live stock or any accidents its liable to be reported for one reason it could be the only way in or out for truck drivers doing long Haulers
That's not true about the self defense bro. You absolutely can defend yourself. The problem with the situation you described was the instigator has video evidence the retaliator has only verbal and some people lie
Bruh whatever your expression of our country compared to from where you're from its a massive compliment from a your eyes to our ears you defs got our attention and why cause your straight up" i was annoyed at first how you dissing our pies cause you have to travel NZ to find the best pies or F&C btw have you tried venison pies ?? NZs big on Game meat its delicious and more tastier,
Self defence is actually a defence in New Zealand. You have to be defending yourself or another against an immediate attack, and the force you use has to be reasonable in the circumstances. Whoever told you self defence isn't a defence here is someone who's just disgruntled with our legal system. What a load of rubbish whoever told you you can't defend yourself here.... sure if you shoot someone that's highly likely not going to fly as the force used has to be reasonable and in NZ guns are rarely reasonable.
Watching this makes me appreciate our country just that little bit more

When you said, "is that a volcano?" nah it wasnt, but that body of water you were driving around at the start is, one of the biggest in the world

In New Zealand, the law absolutely allows one to protect defend/themselves, It does not allow disproportionate retaliation.
It is made for you mai-bro👊🏼😁considering you coming over here to Aotearoa to share your experience of this Land of the Long white cloud, always appreciate you fir that bro' churr🤟🏻
You can defend yourself. You can't use a self defence argument when you go overboard.
