Hey chis, about buckler shield and feral nature, why use it if in a long-term fighting you will just overrage and that feral nature only procs an average 1 in 17 rounds? dont you think thats bad?
This video feels like the old school Chisgule videos that I binge watched when I first starting playing this game. For new players it is full of useful nuggets and for experienced players it is worth revisiting every few months
I think it would be exciting if the talent trees got a small rework and new talents got added. The talent trees have been the same for a while, would be nice to have some fresh builds
Ah, latent power - the very first thing i maxed when i first started 😂 Only through watching your video ~2 years back did i realize how it was doing literally nothing for my mina/cc, hah! Also, just wanted to point out dmg over time (skill) isn't limited to additional dmg - while freddie deals additional dmg over 3s, sargon deals direct dmg over 5s. This distinction is not insignificant because most buffs/effects dependent on dealing skill dmg sometimes depend on dealing direct dmg, but never additional dmg, e.g., inscriptions tremors, calm, etc.
Same, when i learnt about it 2 years ago, i removed it everywhere, exept tried ramsesse secondary to have latent power on his activ skill (Think it's almost the only commender where latent power works on it's active skill)
I think it would be really awesome if you made a video on where to put your points in first if you just get a new commander. Obviously it would be a guide for beginners but like in this video there might be some people who end up not using important talents first or not going for them at all. tbh I never put my points in Latent power or naked rage because they were never recommended in the discord bots on some rock servers. Which btw you should add those into your discord server if they aren't already.
For #9 There is a case to use versatility commanders for gathering and that is if you are gathering with a 6th or 7th march. There are only 10 gathering commanders so 5 marches will exhaust them. If you do not skill city keeper for gathering the default is to send a fast march like Nevsky.
So you break 2 pairs to make them primary for 6th and 7th march. It'll be a bit slow but at least you got the gathering tree on all 7 marches. faster than nevsky or city keeper
#9 for insight(the ap reduction thingy) There is actually 1 case where its good to us a versatility commander for barbing. Zhuge Liang/Richard is great for barb chaining because it fulfills ZL's full archer skill and still costs less rage to hit the barbs. Also if your Richard is not 5-5-1-1 or 5-5-1-5 then you dont have that many infantry stats so your not losing all that much.
Here’s an idea @Chisgule - regarding mistake 7, armaments enhance named talents - like “example armament” or “example inscription” adds .5% health for every point in Kings Guard … this would be very interesting
I'm a beginner all my commander talent i put a latent power like sun tzu, bjorn and i didn't put a in fight to the death for my commander like tomoe or eulji mundeok. But now i know thanks to u idol thanks for advice! I always watch ur guide cause I'm new to this game. Thanks a lot
Wouldn't versatility gathering speed be useful for very early gem gathering? You won't get gem gathering speed from the gathering tree until much later and you don't really want to put much xp on gathering commander
Hey Chisgule so in my skill talent tree for Latent Power it states “This commander’s troop deals 6% additional damage of all types” 🤔 we did just have a game update so I would assume at this time this may have changed in your tree as well. Now makes me wonder if this is one of those instances where the language is changed and effects stay the same or is it really now a different buff to where if you have latent power buff for example on guan, now you actually do deal an additional 6% damage with his 4th skill?! Hmmmmm
could you explain how that switching talent tree works? i tested in a few and when i try to switch the game ask for 1000 gems, i asume every time you want to swap between trees you have to pay 1000 gems. but i think it does not work like that , its pretty high cost

Hi Chisgule, so I have something to share about Versatility Tree commanders for Barbing. Your very last point isnt actually correct - and I didnt even realize the trick until I think Gainz gaming made a video on it (very recently). Everyone knows Richard/YSG is a long time staple for chaining SoC barbs. Most players prefer to use better marches over peacekeeping for SOC barb chaining. ZL Primary, Richard Secondary, for the AP reduction in the versaility tree, but keeping the circle AOE & heal is actually near meta for SoC barb chaining. (for home KD barbs, or 5 march AP dumping, i agree to go with peace keepers) I havent personally tested it, but others have said HQ + Hera is also top tier for SoC barb chaining. I am a HUGE fan of Hera for SoC barb AOEing.
Lol, knew all of them and avoided all of them😂, and with my account over 1800 days old, feels pretty normal... Small exeption: i do use versitile commanders to join rallies (not kill barb) And use CC primary with a peacekeeping talent tree to kill forts in home kg (i'm f2p and experimented it's the best option in order to forts with the 140 AP cost)
Hi Chis, for barb forts, I exclusively use Nevsky with a CC during the offseason. I've found that employing the versatility tree for AP reduction with my Nevsky works exceptionally well.
Does additional damage latent power work with poison? Does the additional damage count towards the extra damage skill damage does to enemy troops? Glad you still release videos like this for new people. As a veteran player it makes me rethink some of my strategies. I wonder how many views a new beginner guide would get you, especially considering your recent concerns.
3 points of rejuvenate would be fine. Remember, you always not do dual or get swarmed during fight. When you only launch basic attack to the target, rejuvenate 3 points meet to rage cap but loss less rage.
Been screaming at my whales In the kingdom I'm in about latent power. People ask them for their talents builds because they are whales and they post screenshots of them using nevsky with latent power. I just laugh😊

Hey hey hey. Chilsgule once again gave some old-school lessons n bailed me out of my years-long mistake! Just when I thought that I knew the game very well, it's time to watch some Chisgule goodies.
You know what else this proves my fellow gamers when Lilith legou capped your alliance gifts for ap potions to 7500 a week they lied to us all saying that a large percentage of players in game never generated more than than 7000 ap a week What they neglected to tell us is that the farm accounts that fill up 2/3 or more of the game are not running forts like our main accounts do Lilith legou new this all along they've been sneakily eating away at our action points so you have less and less of them to help get extra crystals in season of conquest

I was making the first mistake on huo. Is now changed, is same as my nevsky build. Not sure why they were different to begin with
mistake 9 is not totally a mistake. Using zhuge lyang is a good tactic for chainning.

Latent power should work on Guan Scipio. Scipio 3rd skill says additional damege of 500 during 3 seconds
That’s true, although such a small amount of the total damage from that combo comes from the scipio dot

The first Mistake (Latent Power )is not a player Mistake , but an In-Game Mistake from the game itself.
