Thank you so much for the kind words. You made my day. Thanks for watching and enjoying the content. More on the way for some interior and exterior work on Iona. Thanks again for the kind words and thanks for watching the channel.
Thanks Pete! Appreciate the feedback and the comment. There is always something happening with Iona. Hope to bring her to local car shows in the near future, having just missed a golden opportunity to participate last month.
I know this video is 2 years old, do you remember when changing the hose to the fuel tank if there is a screen or pre-filter that can be cleaned out? If I do this job I would like to get rid of sediments at the bottom of the tank if possible.. thanks!
Thanks for watching and sending your comment. There 100% is a fuel strainer (or pre-filter as you called it) inside the tank just “north” of the fuel line I replaced on #ProjectIona. In addition there is an o-ring accompanying the replacement of the fuel strainer. Given the volume of incremental work to change the strainer, I would highly recommend you do so if already changing the hose. Thanks for asking and let me know how it goes. Cheers!
@@w140restorations thanks a lot for the informative answer! I will most likely change that strainer after seeing photos of what used ones looks like.. all covered in black crud. I'll keep you updated but it might take a while cheers!
Thanks for the comment! Just took a break from working on headlight switch and xenon bulbs. And yes, she’s got a leaky differential. Added that to the to do list!
Hey Micheal thanks for watching the channel. Hope you enjoy the content. To the very best of my knowledge there is not a secondary pump anywhere in line between the fuel filter and the fuel regulator, no. I can speak for 96 and 97 W140 with certainty with a M119 5.0L S500. Perhaps other variants and years. 99% sure for the 94-95 years as well for the 5.0L S500s.
The best W140 channel on RUclips.

Is there a second pump in the engine bay that connects to the fuel regulator near the fender well?
