Yeah I mean of course they’re having fun when one of them can global a healer while the other mage is running away on the other side of the map. Idk if they’re just lying to prevent nerfs or if they genuinely believe they’re just so good together that they can stomp on pro teams at the top of the ladder that have played together for very long periods of time. I think xaryu might know his class is broken, but Mitch genuinely seems to think they are just better than everyone because “nobody else lines up their damage”.
the specs that can't one shot have other really fun playstyles tho... warriors for example have so much pressure all the time. the thing with mages is that outside of that one shot you do almost no damage... so when you use combustion it feels extremely rewarding. I think if all classes had a way to feel that rewarding it'd be best... doesn't matter if it comes in the form of a one shot or a big cc chain like rogue or constant pressure like war or maybe even playing mind games with others like priest (death cc, thoughtsteal, mindgames etc.)
To be fair it wasn't talking shit, just people trying to incite drama there were no hard feelings on either side. All dilly said was they were focusing mitch because 1 xar is night fae and 2 mitch only came back recently so they'd have better luck pressuring him.
For real, and you see the comment section filled with people saying “but this takes setup”. The damage doesn’t take any setup lol, at 3k mmr obviously you need to lineup cc to get kills that property isn’t unique to mages. The damage quite literally takes as much setup as any other instant burst class. They literally are killing healers in 2 seconds on a kick. Sometimes one of them isn’t even hitting them. Xaryu 100-0 a healer at 10 minute mark and Mitch wasn’t even hitting the guy. It just goes to show how utterly broken mages are right now. They are insanely hard to kill with their legendary and alter time, plus one of the most mobile ranged in the game. All of their burst is instant cast and it can be done every minute with the insane cd fireball reduction talent. It’s weird to see them try to say their class or comp isn’t broken and try to just say “nobody lines up their damage” when they’re literally stomping pro teams that have a ton more exp than them.
