Those are some wicked mowers!! I’m sure glad to have found this channel!
Thank for the awesome comment. The boys have been working hard on them all summer.
Digging the overviews on the tractors! Looks like a good scout ride
Thank you redzz02, the trail is a hidden gem.
Some of best off road tractors I’ve seen
I would agree and there are a few more in Ohio and Pa.
Awesome man looks like a great trail and solid tractors all the way around
Thank Creepycrawler, this trail will break lesser tractors.
Wish I still had my Grandfather's old Springfield or his Massey Ferguson now. They would have made awesome trail rides.
I belong to a bike club just down the road from Dino’s place, & ride those the CCC trails in the area. Love the Rides, & the Video!
Very Cool!!! ☮️
That's badass and thanks for the bump. Bet the CCC trails are awesome.
That was awesome when he was kicking up all that mud thank you for the video
Ikr, that mower was a ripper.
Are you anywhere close to Michigan?
That guy with the tattoos and the yahama exhaust is an awesome person I just recently met him near west branch. He is so knowledgeable and impressive.
Stiletto is one of the baddest off-road mowers around they are all awesome people I've ridden with a few of them check out our channel we have a mix of everything like and subscribe more videos coming soon
Dude! My buddies and I used to ride at Ogemaw; there's a motocross park with a campsite around there :) great times
Those are some sweet tractors bud really great video
Oh man glade you liked it.
I loved the ride, can't wait to take the Roper there once I get her done lol
Count on it. This trail needs more filming to cover it all.
cool to find your vlog. lived in WB in the 70's, live in yuma az. now. I look forward to your vlogs.
Awesome! Thank you! Been through Yuma a few times. Not a bad place to be.
Dude so rad HELLYEAH.
Thank you, absolutely a blast.
Hilarious, love every bit of them been wanting to do one of these builds myself.
I would like to see that.
never new i wanted a mud mower till today lol they look awesome!!
Haha, perfect, I felt the same way when I found off-road mowers.
I just got into mudmowin and it's nice seeing unique builds that aren't like all the typical stuff I see in all the Facebook groups. These machines are one of a kind.
Welcome to the mower underworld. Agreed, unique builds make the best mowers.
@@MrStudabaker how much of a frame stretch does sams mower have
@@akrestoration6536 an easy 60" from axle to axle
9:51 how cool is that when the frame rate matches the Chevron and Knobbies and looks like all 4 ain't even turning!
Was just thinkin that.
Them tractors are bad ass👍👍👍
Thank you, this upcoming season there will be even more bad ass.
Kool rides guy! Never seen a cud go that fast.
Thanks for the bump, I'll be sure to tell the boys. They have been busy building some crazy mowers this year. I think they don't like being whipped by a Cub.
you guys rock, love it
The boys make it easy. Thank you.
Very cool ride on !
Yes sir, just wait. Whole month of May is scheduled. Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania.
Looks like fun. I used to live down the road in Whittemore. AZ now.
You still riding mowers? I'd love to visit AZ.
I definitely dig these tractors!! That trail looks fun. Studabaker what gear was you in during that frame twister in thr ttc?
Thank you GiverTheBeans 97, the trail is quite the gem. Going back real soon for more footage.
@@MrStudabaker I'd ride it if I had a way to haul these tractors around.
Now your talking. Oh and the frame twister was 2nd gear.
Holy crap, someone from my hometown 🤣🤣
Must be talking about Sam or George.
That's awesome, I didn't realize you were so close to me, I'm up here in Gaylord
That particular mower group is in Alger, Mi. There are others ridden with as well.
Sweet.
y'all have some nice rigs, I have a 1967 Murray 1236. And I have a 2000 Murray wide body GT. I got to make me a solid transmission
Hey thanks, I'll be to tell the boys.
I've got a wheel horse that's the same model as the orange one, probably close to similar year. Just to show how much torque these old things have I pulled my 5x8 ft trailer unloaded without even noticing, at about 650 lbs. Before the cold weather hit I had everything to make my own ball hitch for it that would've stuck out about 6 inches and gave me room to turn beyond 90 degrees.
I'll have to make a video of it doing what it does best lol, kicking ass and pulling mass.
Tractors excel at that and other things.
ive been waiting to see a nother wheel horse mud mower i felt like i was the only one
Wheel horses are the bomb in Ohio, 8 out 12 will be wheel horses on any particular trail ride.
I ride pretty close to you guys, I hit them trails around Mio and Bull Gap area.
Mio and Bull Gap, nice, bet those trails are awesome.
1:45 ...west branch trail systems...
I'm brand new to the channel, sounds like y'all are in Michigan...?
I'm a subscribing now...
Yes sir, Michigan is my home base. Thanks for popping in and hitting all the buttons.
Where are you guys? West branch MI? That’s very close to me lol
Most of the group yes... There's a few that come from Ohio.
What kind of camera did u record this video with? The quality is real nice
I think that was the go pro 7.
Good stuff.
Have you ever considered using small RWD car engine with its rear axle transmission and engine? I mean 60-100hp in mud makes a difference... I'am collecting parts for mine now. Those briggs and kohler engines crap after reaching reasonable power and cant really take the abuse+ they're way too expensive where I live..
Thank you sir and yes I have thought about that and believe a solution has been had. How about a 993cc vanguard v twin making close to 60hp in a cub cadet named Maximus. That should make for some serious roost for the unsuspecting patrons hahaha
I have the same 122 international cub cadet and the only thing that's stopping me From using it again is I can't get spark out of the original ignition system is there a way to convert it so I can ignore the points and condenser
That's a tough call. Maybe this link will help you. gardentractortalk.com/forums/topic/12983-k-341-kohler-conversion-to-electronic-ignition/
I have heard of points to electronic ignition kits. Did you get er running?
If you think thats bad come to Colorado and check out some of the trails some trails have gaint boulders in the path and the only way over is to go over the top
Um yeah, all day, you folks are on a big ass rock.
How did you guys put these bigger tires on there
Not exactly sure how Sam lifted the fenders on the wheel horse.
where do i find the build of these machines
Facebook for the stretch mowers check out mud mowers from hell and the cub Cleetus Joe.
Curious.... why is everyone running such high psi and stiff wall/high ply count tires? Is that whats working well in the mud? Everywhere else other than mud, a 2 ply soft balloon tire run at super low psi (2 or less) like the CST lumberjack gives far superior traction than those tractor tire with higher psi. They just conform to the shape of rocks and roll right over. My rig, crawling in 1st gear with an open diff, would walk right up that sandy uphill stretch you said you had to speed up. Not to mention the cush ride of low psi balloon tires. Tractor-ish tires do look cool though.
Thank you for taking the time to write.
Your preaching to the choir. Big proponent of low psi tires and am all ways telling the boys to lower there psi to at least 4psi.
There is no doubt you can crawl up the sandy root ridden hill with an unlocked diff. A few have tried and have not been very successful. Front end comes up and goes hard left. Maybe you have the secret these other boys are missing.
I like going fast and have found the level of comfort better then going slow. The use of big horns has improved the ride quality even more. The radial and soft sticky flexible rubber works perfect on Keizer at 4 psi. Superior traction everywhere except mud.
@@MrStudabaker Yeah, I'll have to check the Bighorns out, I like trying everything. There's no right or wrong, just what works for a person's preferred style of riding.
If you like to ride faster over obstacles, 4 psi is definitely safer to not lose a bead or tear a sidewall, the Bighorns sound like a good choice, and my interest is peaked.
Make sure to grease your muffler bearings
Many muffler bearings have been greased if you know what I mean
guess whos buying a lawnmower this weekend now
Bout time.
Ya gotta respect good ole American engineering.
You aren't wrong.
What kind of wheel horse
do you guys have mower decks for them ?
hahaha good one, um no.
Would y’all allow four wheelers to ride with y’all? I would definitely love to hang out with everyone.
Absolutely, you can...it would be awesome to see you on the trails.
@@MrStudabaker Okay is there a way you and I can connect on Facebook or something? Here’s a link to my profile.
www.Facebook.com/roupelee
sorry to ask but my tractor strts then stals on its owne can you help me with that?
There is a whole list.
Check to see if gas is in carb. If not find where it's at.
Check for water in the fuel tank.
Can you run axle padles?
Like in Iron Buffalo type paddles. That would be wicked.
paddles?
Run your bolts through the back first to straighten threads then run them back through the front.
Are you my dad he says stuff like that to me all the time. Love it. Great idea and noted.
I'll get my Gilson going and I'll go up with George sometime
Get r dun I want to see this.
Süper ofroad
Thank you for the bump.
Stiletto sounds like a Can Am Renegade 1000 all these mowers eat quads I've ridden with each of yall and know for a fact
Nicely stated.
@@MrStudabakerhey what's sam's channel brother already miss riding with all y'all going to have to set up a ride for the Arizona desert and come visit
Hey my last name is Stellato as well! We’re related!!
Cool last name.
Let's put marvel mystery oil in the one's that smoke, 1/4 cup to a fill up with gas should help the rings.
Not a bad idea. Will it help with a diesel.
@@MrStudabaker yes
😂😂😂👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
mantap bang
Mantap back ;)
Damn wheel spacers same thing happened on my wheel horse
All the time. You know what, when I find another mower with spacers on, I'm gonna follow him all day hehe.
That's always been a problem with wheel spacers. Make sure everything is clean before the sandwich happens then use a torque wrench. Loctite blue in a pinch but shouldn't be needed if you use the torque wrench properly
@@MrStudabaker I told him when he put those spacers on to get longer bolts and put nuts on the back, he wouldn't do it until after this ride when he lost the tire lol
What for diesel does he have
I think it was a clone. He blew it up and is on to another motor.
Why don’t you guys lengthen your wheelbase out a bit ?
I don't now, there's something about 40" wide that's just super fun in the woods.
Just ordered a 4HP diesel and I'll be modifying the ever living fu
A 4hp diesel, I would be interested if you spin it up to 8k rpm's. Otherwise its gassers for me, no replacement for displacement.
Yee-yees back from Michigan.
@@MrStudabaker LOL I don't know if I can clock it at 8K but if I'm right about the 196/212 aftermarket parts being a direct fit, I may just be able to Hobbs and Shaw it at 6 and a ¼, maybe 7K if I'm lucky enough.
@@animeaddict6907 oh man I want here this motor rip.
What is sam's channel
C&S custom I believe
Do you actually spell your name Studabaker? My last name is the same but with an e. Studebaker
Yes i do, and how do you do Mr Studebaker?
Sorry you all, this brother need his shocks!
Right on, fyi super low tire pressure on these bad boys does a nice job as shocks, easy 5" of compression.
прикольно
Ух ты! полностью из России. Спасибо
@@MrStudabaker we do not have such content, here we are watching you.we plow on tractors, they don't know anything about races.
bro your mower is insaine i wich you could help me build my mudmower
Well thank you. I can help with pointers but the leg work is all on you.
@@MrStudabaker i have a lt 1000 chraftsman how do i poulie swap it i cant figure out how to take the back one off do you have eny idea how
@@MurderMower there is a set screw or two that need to be loosened on the rear pulley. There is also a key in there too. If set screws are loose and the pulley doesn't want pop off. Put belt back on and drive it around. Reason: if it's rusted tight the drive around should break the rust bond. Check on it every couple of minutes during the drive around. If it still doesn't want to come do a few hard pulls. Be nice to it no clutch dumps. Oh, and take the set screws completely out.
@@MrStudabaker ok il try when it melts out of the ice il give you more newes wen i doo it thank you
Man , y’all need to take on of those $12,000 Dixie choppers out there.
Not a bad idea.
You need a roll cage, it's more unstable than an atv.
You read my mind and have been designing one up but that is about as far as it went.
A roll cage would make it too heavy and even more unstable, plus harder to bail. I've yet to be seriously injured by these rigs and I've had some of the gnarliest wrecks yet
Tell the guy with the diesel to upgrade to a 12 horse and replace air filter with screen type. The felt paper air filters gets wet because of humidity in air and wont let enough air through. There was too much smoke going up that hill so engine not getting enough air. Diesel engines are better than gas engines in every way.
Thank you that's damn good news to know. I will be sure to spread the word. By the way that motor did not make the day.
The engine was smoking because it was burning oil as well, the piston broke between the two compression ring lands. Common issue with the Chinese clones. I bought a new piston for it and got it running, then flipped it while running and blew the engine due to lack of oil and it's been swapped to a gas engine since
@@rednecktractors10 ya the Chinese clones have issues for sure. A major design flaw in those small diesels is the tiny needle bearing on one side of the cam shaft. I bought several used 10 HP clones recently and one had an exploded bearing. The retard kept running it with a blown bearing and damaged the camshaft and engine block casting. I ordered a reamer to ream bearing hole bigger to fit larger needle bearing. Was able to find a replacement cam shaft from an engine laying in the metal pile at the scrap yard. Cams were checked with caliper and are in good shape.
Just found a video showing exactly what a blown needle bearing looks like. In the video the block is unrepairable. I want to help support the community by making this issue known. Engineers need to redesign with larger bearings. Just skip through the first 6 minutes of this video- no idea what language it is:
ruclips.net/video/HabQkRdgEfA/видео.html
@@------country-boy------- it's only a issue with the clones, the genuine yanmars have no real issues like that. And the people who make the clones use cheap parts which cause them to fail
Tread locker
Right on or a nut on the backside.

The drag race
@@MrStudabaker yeah I like how the camera shutter speed is at the same frequency as the tire rotation
My back hurts lol watching this.. i would get a old atv suspension and fabricate it to fit your mower
Some folks do that mod. Sorry about your back. Thanks for the note.
I understand that they are inexpensive, easy to find and run ok but sticking a chinese harbor freight engine on a vintage USA tractor just bothers me. My Wheel Horse tinkering would be easier but no way.
I hear ya some folks are new school and others will take a flat head 16hp block and mod it to the moon.
