I did the Frances, Norte and Primitivo, and plan to do the Portuguese next year, just deciding which route.....the coastal or central, my MAIN desire is less highway walking, so can't wait to watch your journey in case it aids my decision making. In addition, you are so charming and life embracing and grateful, best wishes and can't wait to share your experience. Hope you love Porto, I did last year. Safe travels. Buen Camino!!!!

Hey Dennis, good luck in your Portuguese Camino. Will certainly follow your progress. Hey, one question. Many of the albergues are called Albergue Juvenil something or other. Are older folks allowed to stay?
Thanks! I have not encountered those albergues. All pilgrim albergues accept all pilgrims. I’ll keep my eyes open for those albergues to see if I can see one.
