@@Getoverit-001 Ed, good question. It is the simplest arrangement…I use my iPhone 12 for all videos and recordings; and the free iMovie app that comes with the iPhone for editing the videos, adding music, captions, etc…that’s it. No cameras, computers, etc. Everything was done using my iPhone.

I also like how the regions differentiate themselves from each other and they have their own ancient culture and traditions. That is one of the things I love about Spain!..everyone is very proud of their region, and rightfully so!!! We really do not have anything similar in the US, probably because we do not have as long and rich of a history as you do. You live in a very bet place! Take care! Thank you 🙏

Great question!…and I think every peregrino has their own theory…and every theory works for someone! So blisters and foot care is a moving target! Here is what works for me: - Solomon XÁ Pro shoes ( I am on about the 9th generation) (I have worn them for years!) (it doesn’t matter what the initials are after XÁ Pro, there are several versions, as long as they are XÁ Pros) - my feet are about a size 11.5, I wear a size 13 shoe (plenty of room in the shoe for my feet to work properly, swell if necessary, and my toes never hit the end of my shoe when walking downhill.) - I discard the factory provided insole and replace it with a Sole insole, the medium cushioned ones, the red ones. - I wear ultra thin or thin Darn Tough socks, with no cushion (there is no extra sock padding to rub, cause friction, get wet and ball up, etc. Just a sock sleeve for my foot.) - I do not use any lubricant on my feet. - nor do I change socks during the day, even when it rains…the thin socks don’t ball up and will dry, or not, with my body heat. I do get blisters, however, not with the above combination. It is necessary to walk a lot and toughen up your feet before walking long distances. Good luck!!! 🙏

@@denniscockrell thank you SO much for this great break down of your foot care and products. When I did the Camino in 2022, blisters were an issue, and I was wearing DT thick socks for the extra padding! BUT makes sense your feet would overheat in them too, no matter how much moisture wicking goes on. I’m going to switch my game up a bit and try some of your methods for Camino #2 in 2025. Thanks again for taking the time to type all this up. 👍🏼

Great question!!! I know the history of building cairns to mark routes in ancient times and to bring a stone to leave at Cruz de Farro. However, I don’t know if there is a significance of leaving stones on the Camino markers. I did it because it was fun and interesting and others have been doing it for decades. So, it is a tradition on the Camino, however, I don’t think there is any significance. It is just a way to leave a mark of our passing probably. I will keep my eyes out for an explanation now that you have mentioned it! Thanks for coming along for ride!!! 🙏
