- Day 37 was an awesome day and a day of two halves. The first half over the mountains was awesome…the second half on the highway not so much. However, beautiful weather, gorgeous scenery, and I am in the mountains…life is good!

OMG, "White Bird!" I still have that "It's a Beautiful Day" album! I had forgotten all about that song until recently when I was forced to clean out the attic for my Mom's estate sale. What a surprise it was to find it after not thinking about it for so many years! I loved that song!
If you ever decide to do the Camino Francis again, just back underneath that underpass around 3km is "Vagabond Vieiras" Albergue. It's owned by a guy, David, who runs portable wood-fired pizza oven in the off season, going to different festival events. Their Pilgrims Menu is the best pizza and salad I had on the entire trip! HUGE salads, and outstanding pizza. Only a few beds, though, but worth the stop for a pizza fix!

If that sign was correct and you might be able to take a horse part way on the next stage, well, that what's I'd do. Get my "John Wayne" on. Still counts. Ooh, I hope they don't use English saddles in Spain. if so, never mind. LOL. Buen Camino.
Didn’t see any horses today, which was a surprise. My hips are not anatomically correct, so no riding horses for me. It would wipe out my back and I wouldn’t be able to walk for days days!
