What do you think about my retry image vs the originals? Or do some of the other images I didn't go out to take catch your eye more? Thanks so much for watching! If you're not subscribed and want to share more of my photographic experiences make sure you hit that subscribe button!
Your images are super cool. I find you can't retake an image, they are a new image, due to conditions would never be the same. The trees have lovely stories to tell, what things they must of seen, over the years. Such beauty, thanks for sharing Lisa. Look forward to seeing your next adventure.
@@RoyJenkinsPacker you're absolutely right Roy! Each moment is unique, sometimes in subtle ways...that's why I've never understood people who refuse to take their own image of a popular scene...it's not something I either go after or avoid, but if I'm at a wonderul spot and feel drawn to take a photo I'm not going to stop just because many others have before, because regardless of how much it's been photographed it's still my image of my experience of that place at that time. Yes I'm getting a lot of joy taking images of trees and trying to share just a little of their story. Thanks so much as always Roy!
Loved the mist, the reflections, the textures, the livestock, the floating “stuff “ and especially the “Groot” shot at 5.12 💕 🙏
That is Groot isn't it!? 😁 Glad you enjoyed it ❤️🙏
The introduction was gorgeous and spellbinding Lisa.
Thanks John 🙏
Might not have quite been what you were hoping, but still a coupe of great images to come away with. I love the vloggers who show the not so good things that happen while out photographing. It helps remind us all, there are just some days . . . . . .
I've always appreciated seeing things not working out too (not just in vlogs...I used to go watch bands a lot and always got great enjoyment when mistakes were made and lyrics forgotten 😄) so figure I need to return the favour. Also there have been too many times in my life where I've not gone out photographing because I didn't think the conditions would work out, and it's been to my own detriment doing so...I hope by sharing all sorts of conditions that it inspires people to just get out there no matter what. Thanks so much for your support Denise!
I love how when things don’t go to plan for you, you still smash some gorgeous images. You certainly have taken advantage of the lovely conditions at this location. Can’t wait for your calendar.
Thank you for that lovely compliment ❤️ I guess I just try to make the most of it. That first image keeps growing on me...somebody actually bought the one I had at the Gold Coast Show so I'll need to print it again!
Thanks for taking us along Lisa, great to see you back! The last shot with the bits of stuff in the foreground is my pick 😊🇦🇺
Haha! My sister took a fabulous abstract photo of all those bits of stuff, and handily included the name of it, but I've forgotten 😁 Thanks so much Sue!
I agree that having goals that are too specific is often disappointing when it comes to photography with its constantly changing elements, but re-visiting locations can result in wonderful new discoveries and learning opportunities and you came away with some beautiful "stuff" anyway! You could possibly improve on the technical but, like you say, it was a different feel from the first time and that's an important part that you can't always create. Yay, a calendar! I'm in, and glad to know that is why you haven't been vlogging!
Yep you're so right about re-visiting locations and finding new things each time...there's really something quite joyful about finding new things in a location you've visited before and getting to know it all better. Thanks so much Juanita! 🙏
Hi Lisa, I like them both. Love watching your channel as you always make me smile 😃. Keep up the good work 👍
That's wondeful to hear 😊 Thanks so much for the support Colin! 🙏
Great video Lisa, my wife and I enjoyed all your images. I am a bit biased because I love trees, always have so I liked all your images. The rough tree bark must have a story to tell about its life. Don't worry about any mistakes. I'm certain many photographers presenting here on RUclips edit out any mistakes they've made. There are a couple of professional photographers here in the UK who do own up and I think that's a good thing. It's not about polish it's about getting out there and enjoying those special moments and capturing some memories. Have a good one. Paul and Moira, Sheffield, UK.
I really appreciate seeing people who show the good and the bad in their vlogs, so want to do the same. I've been very inspired by Simon Baxter's photography of trees - I used to put them in the too hard basket but am really enjoying looking closer and spending a lot more time with them and noticing their individual characters. Funnily enough the image I went to retake that I said didn't really work out has been growing and growing on me...I printed a little 5x7" of it that's been sitting next to my computer and I can't stop looking at it 😄 It also goes to show why it's best for me to not have expectations, as they can get in the way of me seeing the beauty that's there. Thank you very much for your kind words Paul and Moira, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Hi Lisa. Liked all the images but the last one stood out for me. 👍
Thanks so much Justin! 🙏
I really liked the first image which is unusual for me, keep up the great work
Thank you very much Chris!
All of the images are gorgeous, Lisa! The key is that you got out there and enjoyed the beauty and the process of artistic creation. A wonderful video!
Thanks so much Kelley! 🙏
Love the image at 5:10. I was half expecting the tree to come alive & start moving towards me.
That trees got a lot of character doesn't it? It requires further visits I think 😁 Thank you! ❤️
Nice going Lisa. Just have to make the best of it when things doesn’t turn out as planned. Great video and wishing you a great week
Thank you so much! 🙏
They are all good images But I agree with you, my fave was the 2nd image. I try not to have a pre-conceived idea of an image as am often disappointed when the conditions don't present as I had hoped. Its nice to get out and hopefully find an image or two.
Yep that's just what I'm normally like as I find having expectations pretty much always leave me disappointed. Thank you so much Susan!
great scenery and images
Thanks so much Horace 🙏
What a gorgeous intro, fabulous conditions Lisa. As happens with me quite a lot these days things going wrong or mistakes (mostly) by me have resulted in probably 1/2 dozen potential vlogs finding themselves in the bin. Fabulous selection of images and if I was pushed to pick a fave it would be the image at 5:47 but honestly I would be overjoyed with any of them if they were mine. atb Al
Thanks so much Al! I wasn't feeling confident out there but was happy when I got home...I've just printed out the first image and am very happy with how it turned out (just got myself a Canon PRO-300 printer which is an absolute dream!) I hope you're doing well!
Outstanding intro, great images especially right around 5:10. The most amazing to me is that you caught the problem and were able to go back and correct it. I assume you learned something. It's difficult to find those same conditions on another day. Keep up the good work!
Thanks so much Robert! I actually spoke about what I'd learned in one of the videos I lost, but then I forgot all about it 😁 I haven't used the 70-300 much for landscapes and need to pay closer attention to depth of field when using it. But I also realised in going back that once the sun got over the trees it was glaring right in my eyes and made seeing the screen quite difficult, so that was good to notice!
So amazing shot..
nice kalender...

Thank you so much 🙏
@@LisaFrostPhoto ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I agree with your likes too.
Thanks David!
Too bad about the technical issues with the GoPro but you still pulled it together nicely! It would be tough to top those original photos but you have it a good go, especially the images at 5:12 and 5:46 - those were excellent! The calendar looks amazing as well! Hope you sell loads this year! Great video as always Lisa! Hope you are doing well, have a great week!
Thanks so much Paul! I feel the need to go take more photos of that tree at 5:12....it's got so much character but I don't know if there'll be any/many more opportunities for mist before the end of winter...might need to try in the late arvo too and see what that's like. Thanks for all your support - I hope you're doing great too!
Make one more shot of the tree with the leaves in focus with or without mist and superimpose them in the original...
Nothing is wrong with the new shot anyway... 👍😉
I've gotta say focus stacking that image the second time around was a pain in the a@$#! 😅 Despite the images only being taken 7 seconds apart the mist and light had slightly changed between the 2 shots...it reminded me why I'm not a fan of focus stacking 😁 Thanks Terry!
