I hope you enjoyed our trip to Snowdonia - we sure did! If you've missed any of the episodes from our trip, they're all available at ruclips.net/p/PLLU-Bndc6csU8eqExq09A3cbn_uwfWAUG&si=kdoJgPwzaImreR1Z
How amazing is this video........ a plethora of exceptional images both moving and still. it looks like Danny, you and Wales had a wonderful time together, Snowdonia is breathtaking. Can't wait for the Lake District. Bravo!
Thank you so much 🙏 Yes we had a fantastic time in Wales, though making this video made it obvious to me why we ended up worn out by the end of the trip 😄 So glad you enjoyed it!
Yay - so good to see you've been able to get back to the trip after the rugged start to the year. Such an amazing place and part of the world it would seem. I really liked the Fairy Glen spot. That felt magical - even in a video.
It's been quite the mission getting this one out for sure 😆 I do hope the next one will be a bit sooner 😁 We were so lucky at the Fairy Glen with the autumn leaves falling like snow...it was a very windy morning, but it was all so sheltered at the bottom, so got the leaves but no wind. Thanks so much Denise!
Geez some of those walking tracks didn’t look half sketchy!!! Thanks Lisa and Danny for putting this one together, very enjoyable and it had some funny bits thrown in. Move over Hardcastle & Gibbs.
Haha - not the sketchiest places we walked on the holiday 😁 Yeah Danny's good for adding some humour...unfortunately he had a habit of doing it a lot of it when I wasn't recording 😄 Thanks so much Brad!
Thanks for taking us on a lovely journey. It's taken a couple of swells like you, to show what's on our door step. What influence Danny into the type of music he plays. Hope your both well. Look forward to the Lake district video.
Thank you so much Roy, so glad you enjoyed it! While I think Danny has a lot of influences, probably his biggest has to be Mark Knopfler - if you listen to the soundtrack from Local Hero (ruclips.net/video/3DB-uJ0TxKQ/видео.html) and his later solo stuff has a lot of Celtic influence. Maybe I should have an interview with Danny sometime about his music....
@@LisaFrostPhoto Did Danny know, Mark Knoofler with others, released this music to raise funds for children with cancer. On this recording there are many famous guitars playing. It's on RUclips. Thanks for sharing and answering my question. Take care.
An absolutely beautifully constructed vlog, well done. I do visit the area, and you have captured it perfectly. I live in the Lake District, so I look forward to your next adventure.
Thank you so much, I'm so glad I was able to do it justice. I hope I can do the same for the Lake District - the 4 days there I felt like we barely scratched the surface, there is just so much to see!
It's been eck of a wait to see this episode of your UK trip but boy was it worth it. Great job and you did Wales proud with your images and videography...and Danny's musical expertise. Hope you are both well. Very enjoyable watch. atb Al
Haha yes, I did not expect it to take so long...both because of the obstacles and just how long it took to edit! I'm so glad you enjoyed it Al - Wales was brilliant, so I'm glad I've been able to show some of it. 🙏
What a marvellous experience for you both, you caught so much in so short a time but I bet you still wonder just what was around the next corner. Anyway thanks so much for sharing.
Absolutely! As much as we got to see, I know there's still so much we missed out on. It's amazing how much there is in a reasonably small area...I could spend weeks in just Snowdonia, let alone the rest of Wales. Thanks so much Barry!
Ah,Lisa, this one brought a tear to my eye. I grew up there and went to school below Harlech castle. Whenever we go back to Wales, and drive down the Mawddach estuary(as seen from the Panorama early in your video) that is when we get the feeling in our heart that we are home. Such a far cry from Sydney. Excellent video, but a shame that you didn’t have time(or weather) to go up Snowdon. Thanks for posting. Cheers, Merv
Thanks so much Merv. So sorry for the slow reply - I've been taking a break from youtube whilst redoing my website so haven't seen comments. I'm so glad we were able to see and share some of the area of your childhood home. It's a wonderful place! Going up Snowdon would be great but you can probably add a lack of energy to the list too 🤣 I planned way too much for us to do on the holiday, and it seems I don't have the stamina to do so much walking day after day - I ran out of steam on our last day out, then promptly came down with a cold!
Lovely, Lisa. I watch a few UK vloggers who visit Wales and in fact come from Wales. Your take as an Aussie visitor is a great mix of images in such beautiful atmospheric conditions. Really enjoyed the castes, as the UK landscape photographers don't include this. Looking forward to the Lakes District from your photographic eye. ❤
Yes I've not seen anything really of the castles either. You could easily dedicate an entire photographic trip to just the castles - there are so many in Wales and many are on rivers, which would give many opportunities photographing the castles from a distance across the water. Thanks so much David!
I think I figured out why nobody was on the other side of the lake with you! :-) Some beautiful waterfalls. Lots of work on that video. The king certainly didn't use the same floor plan for his castles did he. I wonder if more people died of pneumonia than enemy fire. Can you imagine the poor farmer/soldier that's told to attack one of those castles! Thanks for taking us along.
Hahaha yes! 😆 Scrambly and boggy, but also fun and quiet. Yes, the castles were all quite different. I think they all saw action at various times, with Welsh rebellions and then the English fighting to reclaim, but I didn't get the impression there was a lot of killing, so you're likely right that the likes of pneumonia and TB killed a lot more than fighting. Thanks so much George!
Such a wonderful clip, Lisa. I always enjoy the images you put up and this is no exception. What a beautiful place Snowdonia is. I trust you and Danny didn't find it too cold. (Anyone in shorts would almost certainly be Tasmanian.😉) The castle was very intriguing - the steep and very narrow spiral stairway, the maze-like rooms, and of course, the murder-holes. I guess the design was focused on defense - anyone unfamiliar with the layout could spend a lot of time searching for the castle Grand Pooh-bah. Coming up the river the castle would have dominated the countryside and intimidated approaching armies and traders alike.
Thank you so much Mick! Yes Snowdonia is exceptional. Scotland is probably my favourite places outside of Australia, but Snowdonia has some quite similar landscapes in a much smaller area, plus some of the best castles in the world. No, we weren't too cold - we came prepared, but it turned out to be warmer than we expected anyway, so my warmest clothing didn't really even get a look in. The entire holiday was quite wet, but all our wet weather gear held up well, so it was very enjoyable being out in it. Unfortunately I didn't pick a good place for us to stay in the area (worst place I've ever chosen actually: tiny, musty room, bed so soft Danny kept rolling out of it so we didn't sleep well, and 2 out of the 4 nights no pubs in the village were open), which detracted a bit from our experience at the time - watching the video makes me appreciate Snowdonia more because it's just all the fun bits! 😄
@@LisaFrostPhoto Indeed I did Lisa, thanks to a couple of French tourists who helped me. I was stuck between 2 rocks with my backpack wedged in between. Not a place I would recommend for just a couple of compositions.
Really enjoyable video Lisa. I live down in Cornwall but like Snowdonia as it's very different. Last time I was there walked up the Pyg Track to the summit and came down the Miners Track. Going around the lake was a bit of an adventure!
Thanks so much Peter! Sounds like a wonderful walk. There were lots of people heading to the summit up both tracks when we got there - not sure they'd have seen much that day as cloud always seemed stuck to Snowdon, but it must be a brilliant view when clear!

Absolutely stunning images and video. I can hardly wait for the next installment from your UK trip.
Thank you so much Jay, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Fairy Glen is such a lovely place. I did sit on that rock in the middle of the water. You’re right. It was very slippery!
A beautiful spot to sit...I wish I was more nimble and sure-footed for places like that. Thanks Lois!

Fantastic video. Brings back memories of my trip to Snowdonia . Especially painful ones at the Fairy glen. Slipped on those rocks
Thanks Jim. Ouch! Yes I was very wary of those rocks. I hope you pulled up ok.

Very nice and the pronunciation wasn't bad either
Haha, thanks so much! 😁🙏
