    Hi, if you have any questions on this cage please post them below. One other thing I should have mentioned, it's far easier if you have someone helping you 😁.

    Hi mate, great video and good to see you answering queries. Would you say its easily moveable? It looks huge and wondering how heavy it is? Will eventually have it further down the garden in a specific area which is purpose built but wondering if I could have it on the lawn and move it around when I need to mower etc.

    • @ba_golf
      @ba_golf  Год назад +1

      Hi Dave, ideally you would need a couple people to help you move it. Its not overly heavy, it's just very large and a bit awkward to move. But you should be ok 'shuffling' it about to mow your lawn. Hope this helps.

      @@ba_golf Thanks mate, how quick do you think it would take you to put it up and down now with experience?
      Also do you use anything to secure it or is there no way its moving?

    • @ba_golf
      @ba_golf  Год назад

      @DaveUK I would say I could have it up in about 1 hour(ish) probably less if I went like a mad man. And down would be a little quicker. I'm going to be dismantling it this weekend as it needs to go away for the warmer months, so I will have a good idea then. Once again 'many hands make light work' 😊

    thanks for this - great help. I just realised I assembled the outer net with the red velcro attached to the rear, bottom poles instead of the front, top poles! I don't think this will make any difference. What do you think?

    • @ba_golf
      @ba_golf  Месяц назад

      @deccarolan Yes I can imagine this might be an issue as the opening to the cage is only on one side, and that is the side with the red velcro at the top.

    Just a general question, 10 months later, how is it holding up? The netting with UV rays, the pole covers with moisture, any general updates to this review you would like to add? Thank You.

    • @ba_golf

      Hi, thank you for the questions. Yes, everything is holding up well, but I did dismantle it through the spring/summer months to allow for use of the garden. But prior to this, it is still in great condition. I will, however, be 'resurrecting' the cage very soon and I will be providing some small updates when setting up 😊👍

    Hi, our cage has just arrived and I was a bit surprised to see that we are supposed to take it down between each use! I note that you did take yours down at one point and wondered if that was because winter was coming. We’re in North Wales, not the best place for short balmy winters but does it really need to go away? The instructions are laughable.

    • @ba_golf
      @ba_golf  Год назад +1

      Hi, thank you for the comment. Yes I did bring it down but this was only due to the fact we wanted to utilise the garden in the summer months as the thing is massive. I will be putting it back up at the end of autumn and it will stay up until end of spring next year. So I would say it is absolutely fine leaving it up regardless of the weather. Mine is still in great condition due to the poles being galvanised and coated. Plus the net itself isn't going to deteriorate fast. And yes the instructions are a joke! I had quite the challenge putting mine up for the first time. If you have any other questions I will be happy to answer them.

  • @samd7146
    @samd7146 Год назад +1

    I just want to say thanks for doing this tutorial, because it’s guess work really, the instructions are very minimal. It’s not rocket science but as you said, a few issues with the holes in the poles. Not a mention in the instructions. Considering it cost €400, I’d expect someone to come put it up for you. I’m the wife of the golfer by the way, just sitting down after helping put it together 🥵..so thanks again or we’d still be at it! 2 hours by the way…he’s a perfectionist 😭

    I'd like to add my thoughts after owning this for 2 months. Firstly, if you are in a windy area secure it down. I came home one day to find it had blown over. I just used some rounded tent pegs that came with another golf net I already owned. Second and more importantly, make sure there are no gaps between the inner net and the top of the outer net. Like no gaps at all, not even golf ball size. I hit a pitching wedge straight through the tiny gap and it ripped through the rear net and sailed over my fence 110 meters into somewhere never to be seen again. I just really hope I didn't break someones windows, although I never heard a crash which is slightly comforting. As this product came with no instructions I wasn't sure how secure the inner net needed to be - VERY SECURE - is the answer. Ok, I'm off to do a patch up job and fingers crossed this was a one off.

      Hi, thank you for the comment and really good advice. I am about to reassemble my cage for the autumn/winter months, and i just wanted to check in on how yours is holding up with the additional cable ties at the top? How far did you go with it? Many thanks 😊

    • @glenjfilms1835
      @glenjfilms1835 Год назад

      @@ba_golf It's still holding up quite well. I have cable ties every inch or so holding the inner net in place. I've started putting holes through the inner net though, which I'm using more cable ties for. Perhaps the inner net isn't designed for Driver afterall. I might have to put up the canvas bullseye that came with the net, I was avoiding that due to noise and not wanting to annoy my neighbours. Good luck with it!

    • @ba_golf
      @ba_golf  Год назад

      @glenjfilms1835 Thanks for the update and advice. I am also going to apply the impact target, just for additional security. I saw someone comment saying they used bungee cables to attach theirs, so I am going to give that a try. Plus a have another large net that I am going to apply to the top slightly and mainly back with cable ties 👍. Video to release soon.

    • @ba_golf
      @ba_golf  Год назад

      Hi, you're welcome, and yes, they are not very good. I secured the inner net with the cable ties provided, and I eventually applied 4 at the top and 4 or 5 on either side, so it didn't sag. The net itself was positioned about 1 foot inwards from the back netting, if that makes sense. Happy yo answer any other questions you have on the cage 😊

      @BABowden brilliant and fast response mate. Mine didn't have cable ties, just the propylene string. I'll use that to secure the sides. Should I secure the bottom corners too?

    • @ba_golf
      @ba_golf  Год назад +1

      @@colonelk8047 I simply tucked the loose corners into velcro straps on the bottom bar, but I suppose you could add an additional cable tie right at the bottom.

    • @ba_golf
      @ba_golf  Год назад +1

      Hi, yes, use the cable ties provided, and I would recommend using quite a few as they are a bit weak. Or (as I'm probably going to when I put the cage back up soon), use slightly thicker ties. P.s. don't forget to start attaching the inner net before you put the final vertical poles in.

      @nigelkirkham5376 Yes attach to the outer net, and yes about 1ft from the back, but I would also do the sides as well as the top, as it just flops inwards. I eventually did the sides as well and it's nice! 👍. Happy to answer any other questions you have.

      Hi, thanks for the comment. I personally have not found any issues with distances. The only thing I would recommend is having your hitting 'spot' at around 9-10ft to the impact net/target to allow for maximum flight 👍

    Hey, thanks so much for doing this. I'm fed up spending money at the range and was eyeing up the same net. I was a little suspicious because of the relatively low price, but it seems like good value. It made me chuckle how many times you said "it's massive" in a somewhat apprehensive tone!
    One concern I have with using a net like this is just the noise. It looks like you are in a relatively dense area - are you worried about smashing driver out there at all and pissing people off?
    The net looks good too, did you consider a duffle net in addition? Or do you think it would be easy to add in the case the net breaks at some point in the future?

    • @mcd0well14
      @mcd0well14 Год назад

      Also, what mat did you go for?

    • @ba_golf
      @ba_golf  Год назад

      Hey thanks for the comment. Yes I was strangely surprised by its size once I put it up, even though I had already measured the area etc.. yes being in a built up area did also concern me when it comes to driver, but I have very nice neighbours and I am sure they don't mind the occasional cracks of my M2 😁. Plus I tend to only play in the day (although I have lights out there) so it's ok. Regarding the duffel/additional netting, I do have another 12x10 net that I may also attach and also the large target that came with the cage. But to be honest it's pretty solid, and it would take a 'bryson'esk' drive to possibly rip one through 😆
      Mat wise I currently have a second hand range mat that will do for now. But I will like to build a small (mobile) platform to place it on in the near future.

    I ordered one from the local supplier, a PGM, the net turned out to be smaller so I had to cut 200mm from bottom vertical tubes so then I could fit the net. Maybe it's a copy of PGM but be careful.
