I had this net but got rid of it due to being fed up of puttting it up and down. It's more a reflection of my impatience however, than anything wrong with the net! To reduce the set up time I ended up only partially taking it down and left the net assembled on the base with only the vertical poles removed. I also bought a Spornia target sheet to clip to the back of the net. It provides an aiming point and will prolong the life of the net. I agree with others that a larger version would be good, particularly for longer clubs, as you can't stand as close as you might like and also have to stand off centre. I did however find you can use the flexibility of the frame to splay it and widen the gap from square, after I managed to shank a ball off the edge of the frame which rebounded and landed on my roof!
Yes the assembly and dismantling process is a bit tedious to say the least, but I have got alot quicker at doing it. I have never dismantled the net from the bottom, I just take the 6 poles out and fold the base frame and Net together. I have hit a couple shanks, but nothing to dramatic that could miss the net.
Great videos @bagolf, would you have stuck to the 3x3x3 cage if you could leave it up all year round? I’m torn between the cage and this net, but I’m planning on leaving it up all year round
Thanks Richard! Yes, if I could have left the 3x3 cage up all year round, I would have certainly stuck with it. However, this net is just as good in my opinion 👍
Had mine since march, 4000 plus balls and these are my pointers. You get quicker at getting up and down the more you do it. Defo leave the inner baffle net attached. My bottom corner holder broke but they sent me a bungee ball strap and it’s actually better at holding the inner net in place so I change to them in all four corners. I would also add one or two connectors or bungees in the middle of the baffle net to hold it to the side. This way the odd side ball/ shank ish type shot still gets held by the baffle and not back net. I’ve smacked the diver as hard as I can (and that’s not mega fast) but it just takes it. I love my net. It like you you do have to hit outside of the net so I do add an old form single net to the side to catch the odd shank. Also get close if your gonna use your lob and even sandwedges. I didn’t and lobbed 3 balls into the neighbours! That was some awkward apology conversations I can tell you. I also use the garmin R10 and a Forb outdoor mat and it has been great this summer. Just though pitching Wedge upwards. I have thought about getting some other poles and adding height to the cage and getting a normal net to cover the frame that way we’d get the benefit of a 3x3 but pop up, if I do I’ll let you know how it goes. 👍🏻
@Stevienikon Hey mate, thanks for the info, really appreciate you taking the time to give me your thoughts on this net. I have only used a couple times now, and I am getting a little confident using it. I did also think the same regarding the baffle net and it's sides being attached to the outer net, I was going to use either bungees or these velcro straps I have. I love the idea of jacking it up to a 3x3 net/cage!!! That would be awesome! Please do let me know if you mange to do this as I may do the same 👍 and thanks for the support on the channel 😀
@@ba_golf no worries, also if it helps, before I got the garmin R10, I used some red ribbon threaded between the gaps to give me an alignment line to aim at in the bafell net. That way I could see if I was pushing or pulling shots. Only other tip I was given was now I have the r10, to help quickly set up the alignment. I stick a tee in the ground at the bottom of the bafell net we’re I want to hit, then get a heavy duty metal retractable tape measure ( about an inch wide not the thin ones) then hook it on pull the line back, not only do you get your distances, ie 7ft back from hitting point, but as it’s a thick measure tape you get a nice staring line to drop alignment stick next to and then aim you r10 down that line once the tape measure removed. Since I’ve done that my alignment on the r10 has been spot on, it’s just me who can’t hit a straight ball🤣🤣
@@aljames7345 hi mate, I reckon I get mine up in about 8 minutes. From the bag, I pull the poles out lay to the side. Then pull the net out in a line in front of the bag. Then lift out the frame. Unfold it, put the poles in and hey presto I’m off. I do take longer after though setting up and aligning my garmin r10 to make sure it is straight etc. do t have any videos but may try to do one in the future if it helps. What I would say is you don’t need a step ladder to hook the top of the poles to the net, just bend them over as they are super flexible, or put the top pole in first and just slot the two together in the middle rather than trying to put them in as one long pole! Cheers
can you make a video of putting its back into the bag. im really struggling to bend it back to one long piece and gets stuck in an 'L' shape. It just doesnt fold back in 😅
@@ba_golf cheers mate. I managed to figure it out in the end. The instructions were so bad, would probably be good if you did an assembling and disassebling video
@aljames7345 I was also nervous at first, but having hit quite a few in it now (including a couple shanks), it's held up pretty well and caught them all 😁

Love it man! Seems like quite an upgrade from the cage, especially from a versatility perspective. Looking forward to lots of content with it!
@UNEVENPAR Thanks mate appreciate it 😁👍
Ps loving the channel and hope it grows well mate👍🏻

@@SharkyPongy Glad you figured it out 🙂, yeah the instructions were useless 😂
Do you have longer clubs if your 6ft 5?
Yeah, my irons are all +1 inch longer 👍
Just got this net and it works very well for me … but it is a pain putting up for sure
I almost have it down to a fine art now, but still takes around 10-15 mins to pop up. Would be great if they did a 10ft x 10ft version of this 👌
Sides are bowed and doesnt look anything like the product pictures when assembled. Id be nervous also about shanks!

Seems like way too much effort I rather just have something up all year round surely you would use it enough anyway if not, why have one? ☝️
@@simonpe3trie102 Having put it up and down a few times now, I can say it definitely gets easier and quicker 👍
