    Always nice to get a project off the list. Especially when money is being made. Helps with your own projects then. Once you get paid it makes all the frustrations worth it. Not like working on your own stuff where you just need it fixed.

      Yeah, it’s nice to make some side cash. But it’s also frustrating when I spend all my time doing stuff for others 🤣

    It's very rewarding to repair anything and you start it up there's no leaks, surprises or anything that makes your language turn sour ( no "bleepity bloops").

    Those 1850's were popular around here. When I started out back in the late 60s, I almost got one, but an 806 won out!

      They definitely have earned their keep. Most guys kept them and never get rid of them.

    Well done, I thought that was your truck when you picked up the tractor. 😊

    Makes me miss my 1850 gas I had for a couple years. It kept fouling plugs and I never could get it right.

    • @rosstheoliverman
      @rosstheoliverman  5 месяцев назад

      Sometimes the gas ones that size could be finicky. I’ve had trouble with my 1800 before.

  • @marcbeebe
    @marcbeebe 5 месяцев назад +2

    Had an 1850 gas. Rebuilt the engine once due to hours, and had to braze up the metal hydro lines that rubbed through at the clamps. Otherwise it probably had a the fewest repairs of any we owned. Traded it in on the 2255 and that was a giant leap up!

    Nice video Ross. It's always nice when a project comes together. Nice to see another ole Oliver ready to go back to work. Thank you for sharing.

    The 1850 might not be pretty, but it's had a busy life. At least you've resolved the major leaks and tweaked the mechanical end.
    He sure has a nice collection. Hope you're able to get the Louisville Ford up and going soon. An old auctioneer from our part of Ohio used to say he'd rather have a tractor it its work clothes than a questionable cover-up.

    • @rosstheoliverman
      @rosstheoliverman  5 месяцев назад

      I agree, I’d rather find a tractor and its original clothes so you can see what kind of shape it really is in. Thanks for watching!

    Another job well done, Ross! I loved seeing an 1850 on your channel! You mentioned that the clutch was a bit weak and I wouldn’t mind seeing a clutch job for an 1850 done, though preferably a gas one. My dad’s has some sadness going on. I’ve been meaning to email you about it for ages now but I haven’t gotten around to it. Anyway, thanks for another great video!

    I’m stoked to see the 4-150 project! Gonna be some great videos along and along for sure. How come you never use the AGCO as a planter rig? Too big or the 4wd turning?

    • @rosstheoliverman
      @rosstheoliverman  5 месяцев назад

      Mainly because I like running the green tractor. But also the 9650 does not turn short at all. I think I would be frustrated using it to plant.

    Hi Ross. Love your videos and Oliver's. I need to remove my over under cooler for leak repair on my 1855. I removed the side tin and would like to not have to remove the hood. Do you know if there is enough to pull out the over under cooler without removing the hood?

    • @rosstheoliverman
      @rosstheoliverman  5 месяцев назад

      You’re probably gonna work harder, not taking the hood off. If you take the hood off, you can pull it straight up and out of there. Otherwise you’re gonna struggle to get it out the side.
