Great video.! Love all the information. I live landscape photography but really want to expand into portraits and other aspects of photography. I have a Mavic Air 2 and use it quite a bit since It was released but purchased a LUMIX Fz300 bridge camera as my first camera to learn to shoot manually. I am considering a Sony A7ii now but not sure what to go for.
Really nice and simple intro to photography! I was really interested in understanding aperture, shutter speed, ISO & lens MMs - great overview on all of these subjects! Thank you.
Amazing video! I can’t believe how simple you made all the basics of photography. One of the best and easily understood videos on the subject. More in depth than any other video I’ve seen 👏🏻👏🏻🔥
Bro, kudos! I have a nostril that's larger then the other and I was self-conscious for years over it for stupid reasons. It seems silly but I've only recently allowed myself to be photographed without protest and I'm 60ish. Great video, great tutorial, and glad to see something so minor remained that way for you 😎
This was awesome!! I have been looking up basics for what seems like forever now. & I have found some good ones, but the info is so overwhelming, and seems so scattered. This really broke down the starting basics! The examples of pictures helped so much. The details were super clear! Thank you for this!
I took up photography 2 years ago but I am shooting 35mm film not digital as I wanted to learn the basics & learn how to take my time getting the right shots. All of what you said still applies to SLR's as well & this is still great information to use.
yeah thats for sure! I would do a video on that but the problem is all the menus are different, even from a Canon 6D to a R5, so even brands itd be hard. Which camera do you have?
Thanks for making such great video, Camera lens part you explained outstanding. Dude you had put great efforts to provide details with single stop solution video.
Can you do a video explaining adjusting the aperture on lense and adjusting the value of aperture on the camera all together. Cause it seems when I adjust the aperture on the camera. The apeture on the lens value won't adjust
I think I understand what you mean. When you adjust the Aperture on camera, it doesn’t change is that correct? In order to adjust your Aperture you need to be in MANUAL or APERTURE PRIORITY mode which is explained in this video. If I misunderstood you and this isn’t the case, let me know :)
@@willsimpsonphoto I was in a situation, I couldn't use sound at that moment to watch the video! Great stuff, I feel like I would watch it again because I'm really trying to learn to use my camera -a friend gave a NEX-5t as a gift to me when he bought a fancy new camera, I'm grateful and trying to learn to use it (the struggle in ISO, Shutter Speed and Aperture is real) -I'm trying to get a lens to shoot from further away, I'm a forest ranger and want to be able to take photos of animals from afar relatively fast, also I'm part of a Scout group and want to be able to take photos of the hikes, games and moments everyone shares without the need to be literally next to them with the camera, could a Sony E 18-200mm F3,5-6,3 OSS LE | SEL18200LE be a good option (i know is and old lens) or should I buy an adapter and try with lenses from other brands? I also have a Helios 44mm 2/58 lens somewhere, So.... are adapters a good idea? any help would be much apreciated!
Thank you so much! For a very long time I was hesitant to use manual mode. And thank you for explaining f stops, iSO and shutter speed I always had a hard time understanding them in simple terms!🦢
