It may have more to do with the fact that she was taught the ways of the Jedi, and now that she does not really see herself as a Jedi she may still be figuring out herself what she believes. She knows she cannot teach Grogu to be a Jedi, since she believes that those teachings failed Anakin.

That's what Luke represents. Hope that good will overcome evil. He saw the good in Darth Vader.
This is why the Disney Luke is wrong. Luke may have seen potential evil in Ben Solo, but he would never condemn Ben. He would see the good in Ben and redeem that portion.

The musical score for this episode was quite good. I remember thinking when the dark troopers are powering on that we were hearing mechanical sounds the machines were making. But we hear those same mechanical sounds later on elsewhere with the music. Absolutely love the accompaniment with the fight up the hallway. The theme callback when Luke is revealed was a nice touch. Ludwig Goransson has done a good job of giving The Mandalorian its own musical identity without relying so much on the themes from the original trilogy.

47 here. I remember walking from the theatre in tears after RotJ thanks to the funeral pyre scene. Saw the end of Mandalorian and it hit me right in the feels. Rogue One hinted at how well the original trilogy can be added to by not doing too much to the main characters; instead, just adding to what we would expect them to become over time. Vader's carve up in Rogue One and Luke's entrance in Mando do that and it didn't take a trilogy saga to do it.

Long live the Mandalorian. Thank you Mark Hamill. You are and always will be my hero. Looking forward to season 3.

I'm 29 years old, unmarried, and I want nothing more than to be a father. This episode did two things for me. 1) I got to see the first "superhero" I was ever introduced to do his thing in a way so spectacular that I WEPT while watching it, - I knew that I would be able to share this incredible story with my kid one day, and that felt amazing. And 2) I watched Din give over his child to someone knowing full well that Luke could give him a life with so much more value and growth than he ever could - something that every parent goes through in some form or another.
When Din took his mask off. I could feel Grogu saying "I can save you" and Din responding "you already have".
Family, and children especially, are absolutely amazing. And that's what Star Wars has always been about, to me. Hug your baby yoda's extra tight for those of us who don't know what it's like yet. Thank you for indulging this emotional comment. You two are so great.

I guarantee that Grogu is still alive when Rise of a Skywalker ended. The fact that he's the same species as Yoda makes me think that Luke would have ensured his safety. Maybe he began to sense something in Kylo before everything went down. So rather than taking a risk he sent him into hiding knowing how special he is. I predict they not only will we see Grogu in season 3, he's going to show up outside of this show as well.
