@@tmac731 Ben found out that the grass wasn't greener from the other side when he failed to accept the Bulls contract and decided to take his talents elsewhere.
I agree Luol Dang is underrated. Even tho he was an all star, unless you remember him because you are a bulls fan, he isnt really talked about. Also I really liked Bulls Nate Robinson
Cliff Levingston was a bench god. He always brought something to the game for that first 3 peat squad. For non champion teams how about E'twaun Moore? Really saavy player, I wish the Bulls kept him around a bit longer.
Kirk will forever be one of my favorites and never gets enough credit. Hes top 5 in franchise history for like half a dozen categories and for some reason people don't think his jersey should be hanging in the rafters. But great list!
I have two: Craig Hodges: 2 seasons with the first 3peat Bulls, was HUGE for us. I truly believe we may not have won one of our first two without him. Cliff Levingston: fanatic energy and hustle off the bench at the SF, PF and sometimes C positions. Diving for loose balls, fighting for crucial rebounds and going up strong when he was near the rim. Another crucial piece that we possibly may have not had the first 3peat without.
I agree with your selections especially Toni kukoc, he one of my Fav bulls he could do everything. Also add Ben Gordon, John salmons, Craig Hodges, Orlando Woodridge, Pete Myers, Horace Grant, Andres Nocioni, Larry Hughes,
I just wanted to mention two former Bulls, who are among my personal all time faves, Jamal Crawford, and Nate Robinson. I would love to have seen both of them spend more time in Chicago.
@@BullsCentral yeah Nate's size was a huge liability on defense, but when he was on, he could cook. Love the channel... n hopefully these Bulls will learn to get a stop or two now and again. Lol
Thank you!! Really appreciate it and glad you’re liking the content! Those are both fair call outs actually. Another person mentioned Craig Hodges, and I completely agree, dude was lethal from 3
Steve Kerr was a excellent lock down team defender, was pretty solid as a one on one defender to,one of the best I ever seen for his size,he was a pest like a mosquito biting you and buzzing around your head, the bulls should get Olidepo and Drummond off trades if they both healthy,it wouldnt probably help too much this season unless they got them now.
Ron Harper was a lock down defender and played point in the triangle on many occasions to get the offense initiated. He also could drop 20 when needed. Harper went from a high flying star to a player that executed all of the little things the Bulls needed in those last three title years.
Makes me realize how much hustle/energy players we are lacking on our current team. We had Taj, joakim, brewer, and deng. We also had boozer, who was not a good defensive player but was so hype and such a good teammate. And then we had scalabrine who is such a likable guy. We need more of these guys in order to be successful. Thad young is the only guy on our current team who fits that archetype.
There are 2 players in recent history that I think are overlooked on their contribution and that I got sad they were let go: Marco Belinelli and DJ Augustin.
Nate Robinson, DJ Augustine, Rondo, Pau Gasol, Mike Dunleavy. These are just a few players i think don’t get enough credit for how well they played with us.
I thought about including Gasol as well just because he actually contributed in a lot in those two seasons, but he also did make it as an all star starter
His game was super similar to Udonis Haslem they both play PF. Udonis Haslem is a heat Legend has the Miami Heat rebound record and is a three-time champion and they both had a great defense.
Taj gibson was my favorite bulls player of that era. He should have been starting over boozer later on. Especially during that series against the wizards.
Easily Horace Grant. When you talk about those great teams of the past, of course Jordan and Pippen get a lot of love. Then you hear guys names like Rodman, Kerr, Paxson and Toni. Yet Grant's name rarely comes up. He was hands down the third most important player on that first 3peat team. Good scorer, locked down the paint, solid shot blocker and rebounder. Hell he was basically a superior version of Taj Gibson, yet even Taj is getting more love in this video and the comments.
I mean if you are gonna hinrich and deng on this list I feel like gordon should be on here because he carried those bulls teams in the mid 2000s. Gordon was a straight up killer in the 4th quarter, best closer after mj and drose. People forget how good he was with just 5 seasons with the bulls. Also I would argue that horace grant was underrated. Probably the most underrated bull ever is artis gilmore. Dude was the second strongest player of all time after Wilt. Straight up monster.
I think you and I have a different definition of elite. A player who made one all defensive team in his entire career is NOT an elite defender. And no, I am not 12 years old, but I appreciate the condescending comment behind a keyboard
Yeah, the thing with Artis Gilmore is he played so long ago. Played well before I was born, and he played his best seasons not as a Chicago Bull, but I do agree, he’s one of the best Bulls players of all time
You said Kirk wasn't a great defender...maybe there is a lil truth to that but you dont make the all-defensive team in the 2006-07 season for nothing....he was a real good defender and his scrappy attitude showed that....sorry dude u must of not watched him carefully then
yea he was solid but he wasnt really that lights out knock down 3 point shooter for the bulls as he was for the Sixers, jazz, hawks, pretty much every other team he played for haha
That season Nate Robinson played was really fun to watch, crazy to think it was almost 10 years ago already.
I loved watching Captain Kirk play for us! I really thought Archie had the potential to be another iteration or a Captain Kirk 2.0 if you would.
Underrated player is Ben Gordon, especially that 09 playoff series against the celtics
Imagine if Ben signed that extension he stayed from in Chicago from 2009-2013
@@tmac731
Ben found out that the grass wasn't greener from the other side when he failed to accept the Bulls contract and decided to take his talents elsewhere.
Ben Gordon also let his match up drop 30 on him all the time
Kirk Hinrich doesn't get enough credit. Dude was a gr8 floor general, and tough defender.
I agree Luol Dang is underrated. Even tho he was an all star, unless you remember him because you are a bulls fan, he isnt really talked about. Also I really liked Bulls Nate Robinson
Fair point on Nate actually. Maybe not underrated for his overall career, but with the Bulls he was underrated
lmao me and my cousin sometimes jokingly say “Luol Deng” while trying to throw trash into to garbage can
Hard hat and lunch pail, ALWAYS punched on the clock
Cliff Levingston was a bench god. He always brought something to the game for that first 3 peat squad. For non champion teams how about E'twaun Moore? Really saavy player, I wish the Bulls kept him around a bit longer.
I feel like it’s time that we need to get mo bamba before the trade deadline!
T A J is definitely one of my fav Bulls
Kirk will forever be one of my favorites and never gets enough credit. Hes top 5 in franchise history for like half a dozen categories and for some reason people don't think his jersey should be hanging in the rafters. But great list!
I'll never forget Taj posterizing D. Wade back in 2011. Those were the days.
Taj was one of the guys who reflect the teams mentality.Just like Noah and Deng. Hard working, tough and full of hustle.
I miss those types of players
@@BullsCentral As you said, Nwaba was one of them. A few of those type of players would easily change our current teams defensive attitude.
Agreed!
Carlos Boozer was a very important piece in that 2010-11 regular season and playoff run, sometimes I feel that Bulls fans forget about him
Andres Nocioni keeps popping in my head
I have two:
Craig Hodges: 2 seasons with the first 3peat Bulls, was HUGE for us. I truly believe we may not have won one of our first two without him.

Wow, good call on those two! Definitely should have mentioned them

Oh dude! John Salmons! Good call, I loved that guy. Definitely underrated

I really think if Rose didn't get hurt we would have won a championship.

Nate Robinson, DJ Augustine, Rondo, Pau Gasol, Mike Dunleavy.

Always loved taj. Hard hat and lunch pale. But one guy I thought always hustled and is underrated mike dunleavy jr.
Kirk hinrich was a great defender
Taj Gibson
Kirk Hinrich
Ben Gordon (especially)
Chris Duhon (although I never cared about his offense)
Luol Deng

Bob Love.
Ben Gordon and Nate Robinson
