For years, I felt stuck in the same cycle of debts, managing with minimum payments and feeling like I’d never get ahead. I know a lot of people feel the same, just trying to keep their heads above water. Eventually, I hit a point where I knew something had to change. I took control and learned as much as I could about managing money. It wasn’t easy, but slowly I paid off the debt and got to a place where I could finally save and even invest. Now, I’m debt-free and on track to retire with $3 million. It’s crazy how I went from drowning in debt to actually enjoying financial content, something I used to ignore entirely
It’s worth noting that luck often plays the significant role in investing, sometimes even more than the resources involved. Without it, its challenging
I agree, luck plays a role, especially in the short term, but consistent results tend to come from more than just luck. When I had only saved $180k, I realized I couldn’t afford to rely on luck or time alone. I needed a more deliberate approach that wasn’t just hoping for the best. That's when I found Emily Ava Milligan, a fund manager whose approach to balancing risk and growth gave me the confidence to build from that foundation
My dad just passed away and all of stuff is just sitting here. Guys, YOU CANNOT TAKE IT WITH YOU!!! It’s ok to live frugally. I started my debt free/minimalist journey back in 2018. I listen to a lot money podcasts (mainly His and Her Money) and I haven’t looked back. I’ll be 50 next April and can’t wait to go on my first cruise.
I’ll have to check out that podcast! And absolutely, we can’t take “things” with us. Sorry to hear about your dad, wish you all the best on your journey forward. Thanks for watching!
I am sorry for your loss. I just came back from a cruise through the Mediterranean which was beautiful. I am frugal with my money but traveling is in my blood an I will not give it up. Enjoy your cruise.
I’m sorry for your loss.I appreciate your frugal advice. Three years ago I felt stuck professional so decided to enroll in a EdD program, while costly, I feel this a great investment as I grown so much while not focusing on objects to fulfill me.
0:58 It's funny to me that people nowadays consider what you just announced as being frugal, I think it's because in America overconsumption is the norm, but I live in France and this is pretty normal around here.
You are absolutely right. Somehow here looking rich has become the most important thing and people have become addicted to it. It has been hard to watch people that have so much lose all happiness and contentment. People in other countries have sometimes seemed jealous of the money Americans have but also would not want their country to go through the train wreck of people learning money does not equal happiness.
@@MrsPeel2305 it is hard to defend at the moment but still hold out hope we can recover. I am from the south where manners are first and foremost in every interaction. I did go to New York City recently and left hopeful. Still I can understand your points completely.
Im 40 and always had this money is bad, keep me poor and financially dependent, fear of following my dreams relationships with money. Taught to me by my parents tocix relationship and other family members scarcity mindset. I wish I figured this out earlier. Generational curse
frugality can really help build savings, reduce debt, and create a strong financial foundation. Minimalism and avoiding consumerism can give you freedom. But do you ever worry that being too frugal might make you miss out on things, especially when it comes to experiences or investments that could pay off in the long run?
Yeah, I do think about that sometimes. Like, there’s this fine line between saving money and being cheap to the point where I might be missing out on quality of life. Plus, with investing, I don’t want to risk too much, so I mostly keep my money in low-risk, low-return options
It’s smart to be cautious, but frugality can also hold you back if it becomes too restrictive. Sometimes spending a little more on something, like an investment or education, could lead to better opportunities in the future
Have you ever thought about getting a financial advisor to help balance that? They could offer a more nuanced plan, so you don’t feel like you’re stuck between being frugal and taking calculated risks
I’ve thought about it, but I’ve always been hesitant to pay for a financial advisor. It seems like an added expense when I’m trying to save money. Isn’t a lot of this stuff something I can figure out myself?
38 years old. This year I changed. Thank to vids like this. I wasted so much money. Happy with what I have now 100 years ago and beyond, we didn't have what "poor" people have now. We should be grateful for every little thing we have. Like water.
Recently got rid of my car. Where I now live, every place I go is within 10 minutes so I uber, which is maybe 3x a month. The ease is amazing. The savings is greater 😊
Paying up for a better place to live makes sense, Better safer place to live Better quality food Better quality of clothes This video really made me realize that cheaper is not better.
The biggest takeaway is prioritizing your finances and sacrificing to hit your financial goal. You can eat out, drink, buy nice things as long as you stay on track with your financial goals.
Delicious healthy meals at home!! We never get good quality at a restaurant for a low price. Always commercial oils, sugar, salt, msg. When we cook at home we manage what we eat = less health complications.
Yes absolutely! I actually have a video on budget meals, and you can absolutely make better quality food with better ingredients at home, for a fraction of the cost at restaurants. Thanks so much for watching!
I drove my last vehicle, a Nissan Rogue for 10 years. I just sold it to my 19 year old son at a very cheap price as his 16 year old car is about done for, he just got a full time job, and got myself a newer car. Cars are so expensive now days that it’s crazy. Even cars with tons of miles cost more these days than when I got my Rogue brand new 10 years ago. 😒. I also got myself an espresso machine but I got a small one on Amazon for 40.00. It works just fine for me. We used to get Starbucks at least 3 times a week at work. I also now make taking lunch a priority over eating at my work cafeteria. I have started eating a meat based diet so I don’t buy all the unneeded food items anymore. I do buy cheap clothes because I wear scrubs all day at work and I rarely go anywhere other than grocery shopping and church. I have had some of my Walmart clothes for 10+ years.
Love hearing how you’re frugal! Having an espresso machine is a game changer isn’t it? And I agree, cars are soooo expensive now. I’m shocked that people pay $750 on car payments now when back i got mine, i paid $250 a month. 😬 I pack a lunch to work all the time as well! Thanks so much for watching!
Similar scenario here. My husband and I live in a luxury apartment with the same amenities and budget tighter in other places to be able to stay here and will continue to do what's necessary to be able to stay. We love it so much.
i discovered minimalism and frugality when I was 25 years old. there were ups and down and sometimes I go out of track. but it helped me build my own house at 30 without going into debt. now I am 31 and still these contents are what I love watching in RUclips.
That’s amazing, you built your own house?! I wish I discovered all these things when I was 25, that’s great that you did. I started figuring things out when I was about 33. Thanks so much for watching!
Like this! I am on the same journey which started very slowly. Only debt now is mortgage which I am trying to pay off early. I was a bit late to the party at 59, so will unlikely become a millionaire, but I am still enjoying the journey x
Never say never! It’s an eye opening journey for sure but you can also come up with ideas on the way so you can build wealth. Thanks so much for watching!
@ifetayodavidson-cade5613 You want to attract someone that aligns with your values. Be your true self and the right people will come to you, without spending money! ;)
New sub! My husband and I paid off our debts 4 years ago and the freedom of not having any debt is the best thing to have next to good health, in my opinion. We both work from home so in the summer we do tend to eat out a lot but I get a lot of inspiration for new dishes to try during the winter months when we stay home a lot more. Like you and your husband, we purchase good quality foods and live in an area where we have good butchers, orchards, farms to buy our eggs and other dairy products, and fresh produce in season. We are both good cooks too and it’s sad that quality food is considered a luxury instead of a necessity but we do not take that for granted. I enjoyed your video. Yes, sometimes it’s frustrating or boring being frugal but when I feel I may go off the rails and spend money I don’t need, I like to find inspirational videos and your video helped. Thank you for sharing your story!
love hearing what others are doing to stay frugal. I agree, it’s unfortunate that quality food is considered a luxury these days, especially with how expensive things get. I used to buy everything organic but now I have to pick and choose what and where to get it organic. Thanks so much for watching!
The whole point of wealth for me is freedom. My magic number in my mind is 5 million needed at 65 to not worry about anything. Am i better off investing a good portion of my income into stocks or saving my earnings to achieve this goal?
Varied sources of income is wise and especially living within your means. My net worth is $2M and I can pay my bills with no stress, but I don't live like I have that. I have no complaints.
Money advice is subjective, what works for you may not work for someone else, but it's always better to plan. I'm quite lucky exposed to personal finance at an early age, started job 19, bought first home 28, got laid-off work 36 amid covid-outbreak, and at once I consulted an advisor to handle growing my finance. As of today, I'm only 25% short of my $1m goal after subsequent investments.
@@mariaguerrero08bravo! i'm 56, inherited money from a childless relative and traveled overseas, got married to a lady almost my age, but the only issue is how to preserve and grow my wealth in view of retirement, can your advisor be of help please?

Totally what happened with me! Lol. My service provider forced me off of the iPhone 6, but because i refused to buy a new phone long enough, they sent me my free iPhone 7. Still works other than some apps i don’t use anymore don’t work, I’ll wait til they kick me off again to upgrade. 😂 thanks so much for watching!
I clock in over 100,000 steps a week not owning a car. Keeping both my heart and my bank account healthy until 100,000 steps a week eventually becomes £100,000.
So happy to hear that you prioritized a healthy living space over money. When a space/place makes you physically sick, you owe it to yourself to get the hell out and never look back. So happy that you are living well and breathing clean and clear air. I was almost trapped in a disgusting home that made my family feel sick. People will do anything to keep that passive income, except fix the problem. Great video.
That’s exactly what we went through. We complained about the mold and they barely did anything about it. Glad to hear that you and your loved ones got out of it. Thank you so much for your kind message and for watching my video!
Good for you. We don't need that many things in life, unfortunately society will drive you that way. So we need to be aware and make conscious choices. Thank you for your video.
Very good video. I have been debt free for 8 years and follow along with your way of thinking. I do think spending more on a better quality apartment is great advice. My apartment is more expensive but newer in my area. It has been totally worth the extra money.
I so enjoyed this video, l appreciate your honesty. Looks like you’re doing all the right things, good on you. Very encouraging words, it’s time for me to began a new journey too, in the area of financial freedom too! Thank you for great advice 🥰
Thank you for this introduction to living the frugal lifestyle. I just subscribed. My husband recently died (this week) and now due to a reduced income, I am still working full-time from home...Still, I'm gon' have to really buckle down on my monthly expenses until his monthly Social Security payment and pensions are re-established. That is the worst part of it.
I’m so sorry to hear that, my condolences to you. I hope you find peace during this time and I’m sure you will make it through. Thank you so much for watching!
I am so happy for you and your husband to now be in a healthier space! Older buildings have their charm BUT even a visit to a gallery located in a historical old residence can launch me into a series of sporadic coughing. Your habit of getting/maintaining quality items and just enough to enjoy really speaks of creating a life that is savored.
Absolutely, i love the aesthetics of old buildings too but it’s hard to tell what grows in those walls. ☹️ Thank you so much for your kind message and for watching!
Super inspiring! I’ve always considered myself a minimalist but it’s tough with kids… I needed this bit of inspiration to get me back on track! Thank you. Awesome video.
Thank you so much for watching! I’m glad my video helps. :) I’m sure you have things figured out with kiddos! Minimalism is a life long learning journey!
Just an FYI, the library has databases now and books online you can barrow. Learning express is free through the library and you can take courses in there without having to pay.
Hey! Tick, tick, tick... you are doing so well! Every time I wondered if you were doing something I do, you said it. I am 63 now and I retired at 56. But when I was young I was constantly struggling until one day I realised I had to get my finances under control. Now I own my home and car. I bought my apartment off the plan and now in 8 years it has gone up in value by nearly double, When I get a new car, I pay cash. I have zero debt. I do use a credit card to earn flyer points but when I use it, then I come home and pay it off immediately. I have a strict rolling 5 year budget. I update it every single time I spend money. I also track my savings, investments and annuities, etc. I have planned for the rest of my life. I question everything I spend and think how long I would have to work to pay for it. I hate wasting money. But this doesn't mean I don't live well. Like you, I spend big on food, because I love to cook and I eat better at home than when I go out. I dress well but I only buy something if I really need it and often on sale. I did a big declutter as well and realised how much we waste so now I triple check everything I buy. I buy food using the "just in time" method. By the end of the week, I have basically run out of the main stuff, so need to replenish. People have cupboards and cupboards of food items which they keep on replacing. This is dead stock. I worked in retail, and we worked on "just in time" holding what we sold. The merchandise or display items is dead money because you need it to attract customers. We have to stop trying to keep up with everyone else. Also, we fall victim to trends and marketing. Some people say here you can't take it with you when you die, but you also need to be clear about quality of life over quantity. Fast fashion is the death knell of the environment and your wallet. So, good for you! You're doing well and on the right track!
Thank you for sharing your inspiring story! Definitely a lot to learn from. Been on this journey for only a few years, but I definitely see progress with being more frugal and minimalist. Thanks so much for watching!
Back when I started my RUclips channel and even years and years before then I used to be poor. Now I am a full time employee at the company I work for and yes, someday I will be a millionaire. I invest heavily in the stock market(Have made a chunk of change in the process.) and I intend to continue doing so until I retire. I do see very good monetary things coming my way if I continue on the path I am taking and with some luck and a lot of hard work, I may reach my dream of becoming rich. Yes, Uncle Dave is the man! 👍💵😉
What a great video. I love to listen to peoples stories. Helps with understanding different perspectives and I get to learn things, too! I like to know what others consider as luxuries in their lives also. My husband and I also highly value having a large grocery budget. We don’t eat out and make all our meals and beverages at home. It saves us tons of money and we get to use savings on hobbies like video editing or learning about AI chat bots. My husband loves to learn and is always listening to something new. I really wanted to say congratulations on being debt free and having your fully funded emergency fund. It really does ease that scarcity mindset as you mentioned.
Thanks so much for sharing your experience! We seem to have similar values, and we love learning. Thank you so much for watching my video, I’m glad you got something out of it. ☺️
@@livingwithme11 Love to hear it, that's amazing! Great work! Unfortunately most people around me normalize buying crap they don't need lol. So I'm not "normal" to them 😂 Thank you for watching :)
This was a great video. The fact that you figured out your relationship with money at such an early age is commendable. Many, if not all the topics you covered resonated with me. I was a spendthrift in my earlier days. I made great money and spent it...Never gave a thought to how much something cost. If I wanted it...I bought it. Mostly useless stuff that I "wanted" but did not need. I look back on my Mother with great fondness. She was a child from the "Depression" era. She married at 22 and then proceeded to have 7 children. I suppose we were moderately wealthy at the time as in the 70's we (my Father) had a twin engine plane..fancy cars (he owned a small Tool and Die Co.). That all went away when he went bankrupt. My Mom was a true survivor. My Father eventually left her with no money and a mortgage. Because of her upbringing...my Mother was never wasteful. Recycled everything before recycling became the norm. She never even knew how to drive a car until she was 45. (she was a bit scary on the road, lol, but I give her credit.). She had to find a job to support us and a means to get to and fro. She hated cooking...as would I if I had to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner for 9 people everyday. I used to make fun of her when she would sigh over what a can of Tuna fish was costing...always buying things on sale. She believed in having good quality things such as cloths but not a plethora of them. She has since passed away and I have found myself becoming more like her. (I went kicking and screaming to my frugal stage lol!) I'm sure if she is aware of how I turned out, there would be a smile on her face. I have a budget and stick to it as well. She always said: "If you don't know where you are spending your money you will never have any". So true. Now, in my retirement years...I spend 5-6 months traveling overseas. A few expensive countries such as Switzerland and other Western countries and then off set those places with South East Asia, Inida, Nepal etc. I live a simple life other than that. I hate going out to dinner. I love to cook my own food. Always buy the best...if you don't spend it at the grocery store you'll spend it at the Dr's.."Watch the pennies and the dollars will take care of themselves". Sorry for the ramble but I loved this video. Keep up the good work!! We are a country of "overconsumption" and I learn so much from my travels to some of the poorest countries out there. People have nothing...yet they share what they have happily. Things/stuff don't make you happy as they have drummed into our head in this country. I've known/know some of the wealthiest people on this planet due to my work and some of the poorest people on the planet. I'd rather hang around the poorest...It's nice to have some money as it gives you a little security and flexibility and comfort. You don't need that much after all. Less is better imo.
Really enjoyed your video. A lot that you have mentioned I am going through as well. I’ve been trying to live a fun and freestyle life, doing what I want trying new experiences. But I realize that I’m just spending too much money. I have quietly started living a frugal life, and it was great seeing this video. I too have purchased my own espresso machine and it’s amazing how much money you can save by making your own lattes. Looking forward to the rest of your videos.
Great vlog. I can totally relate about Los Angeles. Homes and apartments need to be updated in L.A. County. Greedy landlords don’t care about tenants health. Old apartments are the worst. So glad that you moved.
Thanks for watching and your comment! That’s exactly it, they don’t care and may even lie to you about the home’s maintenance history just to get you in. We were traumatized with what happened to my husband’s health, so we are not willing to take a chance on “cheaper” housing! We moved to Ventura briefly and the situation there is catching up to LA. :( So we left.
@@JoanQuinto Well said and the truth. Everything thing you said is so true. I went through the same thing with my family with health issues. I moved out of Los Angeles too. I had to leave too for the same reasons. Thank you for sharing your story. 😊👍🏽
Awesome video. I've been fruggal all my life due to experienced poverty when I was growing up. Once i moved to L.A., i continued living frugally. I use my credit card to buy high quality food, and at the end of each month i pay it off. I tried living in a different state, but i was feeling depressed. My mental health is precious to me, so i moved back to L.A. we live a normal life, and most importantly, debt free. 3 things we must have is money for rent, food and health insurance.
Thank you for sharing your story! LA is definitely a place to learn how to be frugal since it’s got so much going on. But that’s amazing that you have figured out how to live there AND be debt free. Thank you so much for watching my video! 😊
Thank you for sharing this! I too got educated on budgeting and keeping track of spending. My only debt now is my car, and my current goal is saving for a down payment on a house. It takes true work, sacrifice and dedication but it can be done. It's probably even less expensive not having kids.
Amazing story! Thank you for sharing. I agree, it definitely takes work, discipline and staying focused on your goals. Best wishes on your journey to your future home! Thank you for watching. ❤️
I’m frugal too and that’s ok. I also like to save money and buy NEEDS only and not Wants !! I no longer shop as well and it’s to the where it really turns me off.
I am looking into buying a used 2007 Honda Accord sedan priced at $4,395. I am attempting to save money and budget on my own for a used vehicle purchase. I am attempting to be more frugal. Financial minimalism is intelligent in my opinion. My fairly recent model SUV got destroyed in a car accident a year ago.
My wife is already panicking, so many questions! will the rate cut lead to inflation? I'm very worried about my $1million stock portfolio losing value. What strategies should I be employing in my portfolio right now?
No doubt, having the right plan is invaluable, my portfolio is well-matched for every season of the market and recently hit 80% rise from early this year. I and my CFP are working on a 7 figure ballpark goal, tho this could take till Q2 2025.
I'm cautious about giving specific recommendations since this is an online forum and everyone situation is unique, but I've worked with "Melissa Elise Robinson" for years and highly recommend her. Look her up to see if she meets your criteria.
Thanks for sharing. I curiously searched for her full name and her website popped up immediately. I looked through her credentials and did my due diligence before contacting her.
Indian here. And overconsumption is now a big thing. I belong to an earlier generation. But even i sometimes see myself as a big consumer. But now i am slowly trying to become frugal. It is not easy. I love reading. But buying books is expensive. Book thrifting has come to my rescue. Also for festivals and all, i usually now buy good brand daily clothes that wont stay in the cupboard after one use. Buying stuff like good branded undergarments is a blessing on a longer run.
Couldn’t agree more - that cars, clothes and accessories are such a money sink if you’re just consuming those things to look successful or fit in. To be honest I would love to move,my house has issues the landlady isn’t willing to address, but at I’m at the top of my budget and moving would be complicated with school zones and added costs of transport. I’ve made peace with it, at least it’s warm and fairly dry🙂
Good for this person! This is what real wealth looks like. (We all can’t be investment bankers or crooked politicians) Minimal debt, buy only what you need or truly want, own real assets and enjoy life. Most people are just trapped in their own show, pretending to be rich. (Yet the millions of videos and TikToks of the same people crying about life, inflation, etc. prove otherwise.
Joan it sure sounds to me like someone who lived in the 50’s 60’ and 70’s. This is how people lived before credit cards and mostly 1 income homes coz mom’s stayed home a lot during those times and safely raised the kids. Budgeting was necessary. My father had his own small business and he gave my mother money for food shopping for the family. We never missed a meal and I never remember going to a restaurant with our family, and didn’t miss or crave it either. Home cooked meals were the best. About 3 times a year we’d go to Gino’s to get a Gino’s giant ( hamburger) . We’d go for ice cream a few times in the summer as a special treat. And you know what it was a much more simpler life. My mother even used to make my sister’s clothes on a sewing machine for school. This was late 60’s and very early 70’s. My mother was over worked coz she was full time mom and secretary for my dad. It was a fence company. We got gifts on birthdays and Christmas only. You’re frugal and extremely wise and probably really smart. It’s so nice hearing stories like this from you. God bless.
Thank you so much for sharing your story and your kind message. I always love to hear the different ways people live frugally, we can all learn from each other. You having lived simpler times is something i would be grateful to have and am striving for. Thank you for watching!
I love to go to cosmetology schools to get my hair and nails done. Soooo much cheaper. Nails are like $8 and eyebrows $5 and hair runs me about $25. So pretty much a good dividend or index fund with dividend covers it for me now.
It’s definitely worth trying! Especially knowing you don’t have to fix the toilet, AC, household issues yourself, and you can focus more time with your family. If it doesn’t work out, you can always move, you’re not tied down by a mortgage. Thanks so much for watching!
Live your life and enjoy it. If frugal is for you do it but don’t be cheap with yourself. If you die somebody else will enjoy the money you have saved.
Thanks for your message and for watching! With the difference of being cheap vs frugal, I’m definitely not being cheap on myself. I put money towards what’s important to me and what I value. 😊

I understand why you prioritize your health after living in a moldy old house. You don't live in high priced LA anymore and since you want to be so frugal, it seems to me you could save a lot of money living somewhere other than your "luxury apartment". You are now in a location that isn't as costly as LA and I am sure you could find a newer apartment that is fine but doesn't have 2 swimming pools, a gym, and optional office space. This could probably save you hundreds a month. I only bring this up because this seems to be the one thing that isn't consistent with your otherwise frugal lifestyle. Other than that, you have done and excellent job of getting your financial life on track.
Exactly. I still think she has a bad relationship with money lol. I think she puts more money towards what she "won't compromise on" vs the actual goal of being debt free.
Honda Fit for the frugal win... Good mileage, reliable, low cost, even can haul stuff if you lay down the seats! We lucked into the 2011 Fit lightly used from friend ( for about 1/5th what people are paying for average new cars today) and it has just needed oil change, transmission fluid change, tire rotation and spark plugs in over a decade. It will probably last another decade plus. So your total costs of ownership are super low...
I think being frugal is very important but for example I have an iPhone 14pro max(paid off) and when the 16 comes out I'll be getting that by trading in my phone and paying off the difference. I use my phone for hours every day as a primary source of entertainment so it's important to me. On the other hand the only clothes I get are the ones I receive for gifts usually because I just don't care about clothes. I've had the same shoes for years same jeans same pants etc.
Dont get it twisted "newer homes/rental places can have molt in them too! I live in a brand stakin new apartment in a brand new apartment complex and it had mold! Cheap windows. Ect.

@@kimberlyfink1032 I always thought the "america lifestyle" insane and ruthless. I never wanted to visit america, because it is so merciless and rude.
@@MrsPeel2305 it is hard to defend at the moment but still hold out hope we can recover. I am from the south where manners are first and foremost in every interaction. I did go to New York City recently and left hopeful. Still I can understand your points completely.
@@kimberlyfink1032Yep, and looking rich, is somehow more important than actually being rich, or being financially stable, it’s crazy.
Love the video❤ I'm 40 and just realized that stuff doesn't make me happy. So, focusing on health, relationships and experiences.
Thanks so much for watching! I’m on the same boat, almost 40 here focusing on health, relationships and experiences! 🙋🏻♀️
Same here. Just turned 40 in July and I realise what I need to keep me happy & healthy. I’m gearing towards a minimalist & frugal lifestyle.
@@TheSofiaKennedyMe too
Im 40 and always had this money is bad, keep me poor and financially dependent, fear of following my dreams relationships with money. Taught to me by my parents tocix relationship and other family members scarcity mindset. I wish I figured this out earlier. Generational curse
Same here same here😅
frugality can really help build savings, reduce debt, and create a strong financial foundation.
They could offer a more nuanced plan, so you don’t feel like you’re stuck between being frugal and taking calculated risks
most times it comes down to proper financial planning cause most people don’t realize how important financial planners are until they messed up
I’ve thought about it, but I’ve always been hesitant to pay for a financial advisor. It seems like an added expense when I’m trying to save money. Isn’t a lot of this stuff something I can figure out myself?
38 years old.
This year I changed. Thank to vids like this.
I wasted so much money.
Happy with what I have now
100 years ago and beyond, we didn't have what "poor" people have now. We should be grateful for every little thing we have. Like water.
Thanks for sharing your story and for watching my video. Gratitude is so important, people these days forget that we have too much than we need.
Recently got rid of my car. Where I now live, every place I go is within 10 minutes so I uber, which is maybe 3x a month. The ease is amazing. The savings is greater 😊
That s great!!!!!!
Paying up for a better place to live makes sense,
Better safer place to live
Better quality food
Better quality of clothes
This video really made me realize that cheaper is not better.
It’s all about quality of life, that is where i focus my money. Thanks for watching!
The biggest takeaway is prioritizing your finances and sacrificing to hit your financial goal. You can eat out, drink, buy nice things as long as you stay on track with your financial goals.
Absolutely agree! It’s all about prioritizing. Thank you so much for watching!
Girl, tell it. Some of my best clothes come from Walmarte
Girl, you are speaking my love language!!!
Glad you like the video. Thank you so much for watching! 😊
Similar scenario here. My husband and I live in a luxury apartment with the same amenities and budget tighter in other places to be able to stay here and will continue to do what's necessary to be able to stay. We love it so much.
As long as it fits the budget! Quality of life is worth it. Thanks so much for watching!
Absolutely 💯
i discovered minimalism and frugality when I was 25 years old. there were ups and down and sometimes I go out of track. but it helped me build my own house at 30 without going into debt. now I am 31 and still these contents are what I love watching in RUclips.
You can build a rich life without being rich. You’ve got this.✊🏾
Your husband is blessed to share a life with you. I live with a spendthrift who is incapable of being frugal.
Thank you for watching! I am blessed that my husband is on the same page, we are in this together.
@@JoanQuinto It truly is a gift, because it can be harder to attract others without spending money on being showy.

I wasted my younger years on materialistic. I became frugal a few months ago. I would not date and marry a man who doesn't live this lifestyle.
She is not incapable..it just takes discipline

I am so happy for you and your husband to now be in a healthier space!

Thank you so much for sharing your story! You are living an amazing life, and you have great lessons to share.

Hey!! I can totally relate😊 I wear a $10 Casio (only watch I own), commenting on my iPhone 6s plus
Love it!! Thanks so much for watching!
Great video! I am where you were…. In debt and fighting to get out! I am so happy I found your channel. What city did you guys end up moving to? I’m looking to make some changes. Please share the expresso machine you purchased. Blessings.
I know you can do it, don’t give up! We’re in central AZ. I scored my Breville espresso machine for like 40% off back when bed bath and beyond was around. Thank you so much for watching!
Hello Joan, I have the same approach to life 😊. I am minimalist and frugal but I like good quality clothes and nice appartement to live in. BTW What make is coffee machine? Thank you😊
Thank you so much for watching! I have a Breville Barista Express. It’s soo worth the investment!
I saw the Honda and instantly knew I had to stay for the rest of the video. Own a Honda, ✅.
Honda for life! Love my Fit. Thanks for watching!
Having all the materials that you need and want with a third of the price. ❤😊 it took me 47 years to be debt free.
Thanks for sharing your story! And that’s a great formula for expenses, one third the price! I refuse to pay full price these days haha. Thanks for watching!
Love this
Love the video 😊
Thank you! 😁
Loved this. Can you post a video about how to budget ?
Thank you so much! I will soon, I’m just gathering more data based on my experience with budgeting. Stay tuned!
Love it!
Thanks so much for watching! 😊
I looooove my Honda Fit! And everything you said is absolutely true, best car there is! Thanks so much for watching!
Absolutely agree with you, frugality looks different for everyone. It’s all about what you value most! Thanks for watching!
Interesting 😮😊
Dont get it twisted "newer homes/rental places can have molt in them too! I live in a brand stakin new apartment in a brand new apartment complex and it had mold! Cheap windows. Ect.
I don’t doubt that. But so far so good with our place. My husband has not had any panic attacks, breathing issues, or nose bleeds since we moved here.
Well done.
Thanks so much! ☺️
