  • The Grannom caddis hatch is one of the first major hatches to bring large numbers of trout to the surface each Spring. The hatch usually occurs in the mornings in April and May. This variation pattern with the brown peacock quill body and dark deer hair wings is meant to replicate a vulnerable spent grannom that is easy pickings for any hungry trout looking up. It is my variation and is a deadly fly to have in your box to match this great hatch.
