How one shoot up or pop of pills can lead to a world of suffering and misery just to escape reality. truly sad and i hope those struggling with addiction can find peace and healing 🤟🏻

EVERYTHING can fit neatly and snug into a syringe with plenty of room to spare.. You'll see a mushroom cloud of blood symbolic of the nuke you've just dropped on your life, before it all disappears into the abyss beneath your skin.
If you live long enough, one day the high will be gone and the abyss is all that remains. You'll pound your fist on the table and make pact after pact with yourself to kick once and for all... only after you get "well" one more time of course.

So we decided to remake it, taking The heroin addict storyline, and going from there.... So this all takes place at a drug rehab clinic that Kai's brother Vincent (from Cult) sent him 2. And I'm there visiting my sister Faith (who's already a junkie) And to get my mind off it, Kai shoots me full of heroin (turning me into one, and at 1st I'm sleeping with him just to get myself off. Love is the last thing On my mind ❣️ and once I get clean and start over.... Basically I want to forget him. Now fair warning.... This Actually is a bleak movie.... if you actually know anything about shooting dope, that ending is dumb as hell… heck, most movies do iv drugs really stupidly. there’s no way in hell a real junkie’s ever using one single vein to get high. when you have dozen that you can use, but the movies always have someone not be able to hit one vein, and then they’re either shooting it between their toes or forcing one spot like this movie until his arm needs to be amputated? most overly dramatic nonsense ever. and this movie came out long before stuff like krokodil or tranq were on the streets. and not once does he ever even TRY to find another vein. heck, even in the crook of your arm right there, there are TWO veins you can use, not just one.
i used for most of a decade, and shot for 4-5 of those years and once did i ever come across anyone who ever had to have a limb amputated. but more importantly, if you went to a dr with those kind of injuries, they wouldn’t f*cking arrest you… hell, i even ODed and had the ambulance come one time and because i didn’t fight the cops they just let me go, so there’s no way a Dr would call any cops just from SEEING an injection injury. i don’t care of you’re in the most anti drug town in the country, a dr is gonna do his or her job first and foremost. they only way they’d call the cops on you was if the caught actually stealing meds or you attack them. that’s it. and don’t get me started on Marlon Wayne’s character- he doesn’t ever go to a trial! he’s just arrested one day and then he’s in a prison the next? total nonsense
tldr: take it from someone who actually used to live this life. the premise of this movie is 95% fantasy crap. i mean hell, the director couldn’t even get the pupil scene right. heroin constricts the pupils, it doesn’t dilate them.

I think what happened to his arm was more like a metaphor. It's about repeating self destructive patterns. It reminds me of that saying about walking down a road and falling into a hole because you didn't see it, and how hard it was to get out of that hole... but you continue walking down the same road, you know the hole is there and you fall into it again! It's even more difficult to get out...and it goes on and on until eventually you learn to stay off of that road!

Why does noone mention eating disorders? That is also like an addiction and the older lady in the film definitely suffered from that.

Not trying to be an edgelord, genuinely don't get why people think it's so disturbing and sad. It is but it's not THAT disturbing and sad, just watched it and I'd only skip the force feeding if I watched it again. Seems like people with that opinion are the lucky ones who've never heard of Dear Zachary for instance (don't watch, that documentary is actually incredibly disturbing and sad, I refuse to watch it but I know what it's about.)

This movie is not that bad , idk why people overreact like if it’s traumatizing. Me personally I’ve seen it 2 times and tought it was a great movie about addiction. Not about just drug addiction, your goals or dreams can cause your demise like the old lady that ended up crazy.
