If they only gave me one pistol to protect myself on an alien planet. The Glock 17 is my choice. Not saying others are bad like CZ, HK, Beretta, etc.

Always carry one in the chamber, be ready don't get ready
I would say carry what you are comfortable carrying. Loaded gun no chambered is better than no gun
If this is too bog, instead of the 19 where you lose 2 rounds, just get the 45, keep 17 rounds, and lose the 17 length slide.

We know Glocks are consistent bc they all look identical 😂
Glock did a number of changes on the internals of the actual gun also in the Gen 5.
And I have a Glock 19 x best Glock ever made nothing beats a 19 x they or the cream of the clock
