Oof, the struggle to stand is a deal breaker for me. I have very little space, so if this guy takes a dive, he's taking other figures with him. Thanks for not cutting that part.
I have the Mafex IG-11 and love it for what it is. Glad people not wanting to pay import prices have another option, but for IG-88, I'm just gonna wait for Mafex to make one.

Nice video. I agree on the BS IG-12's legs and feet articulation. It's interesting that you can put Grogu and the other figures in the droids chest. However, I like the original IG-88 from ESB.
After getting the b2 and rotj Palpatine I’m pretty sure I’m good on buying figures for the rest of the year

The difference in the old Black Series one is so drastic you know they didn't realise it as it own figure because they want to milk the sculpt first ig12 before 11 with extra figures call it deluxe they seem to do this with new moulds the maul 3 pack the yoda gree windu and clone battle droid and 3po etc now it's ig12 and grogu to be made into ig11 in future

I'm definitely passing on IG-12. I do have the excellent Mafex IG-11, but I'd be down for an upgraded IG-88 if Hasbro decides to do that at some point.

I just feel like there could be more paint on it...
lately i feel that with every Black Series Droid, i just want them to look metal, yet there is always lots of unpainted plastic and i'm sorry that just looks like plastic to me, because it is.
I got my Mafex IG-11, i'm good. I think i'll put IG-12 on the clearance chicken list. I'm OK if i don't get him, if i see him cheap i probably click buy. ...in a year or so.
I thought IG-12 was a neat idea, but they didn't really do anything important with it... the gags were ok, but it needed something more memorable...
and of course they had to abandon the idea instantly because there is no room in Mando's N-1 for a second full grown person or Droid anyway, i don't even know how Mando intended to transport IG-11 if they had managed to rebuild him. It always had to be an Astro Mech.
And i HATED that on the first attempt he reverted to his "base programming", after the whole Kuill "if you trust me, you trust my work" speech ...and then it happens anyway, because they just really wanted to make that Terminator homage... ugh.

But $33? Really?
I wasn't a big fan of this new IG-12 thing in the show, and I passed on preordering. After watching your review, it is definitely a hard pass for me unless it shows up at Ollie's or on deep Amazon discount. Thanks for the review!
Love this!!! The previous version that was released in the Red and Black packaging after Season One, does the figure rotate 360 degrees like this one? Or, was it the same mold as the very old IG-88 from the Archive Series? The MAFEX IG 11 with Grogu in the sack is phenomenal! Really enjoying your reviews as always. 🙌

This is a discount pick up for me, I hated all of the ig-12 stuff in that show but for about $15 I’d buy it
It’s on order. I’m lukewarm on it now. I enjoyed the scene and I like comedic figures. We’ll see.
I'm probably going to wait until it goes on sale to get this figure, and then it would probably just be for the little aliens. But I definitely do want that catwalk and the containers from your 3D store so definitely the first thing I'm going to be picking up next paycheck
I might get this even though I have the other one that was released.. I just love the Mandalorian show and this particular aspect with these two. Money grab? YEAH, but oh well..lol

I do have this deluxe figure on pre-order. I've never seen the Mando series, don't have Disne+, so for myself I just want these figures in my collection. A couple more Anzellins are good and the new droid sculpt is welcome even if he doesn't stand well unfortunately. I've got to invest in some 6" figure stands apparently. Grogu I can take or leave, I only own the original single release and the bagged one from the Scout Trooper with Speeder Bike.
It's sad that the Hasbro team couldn't have a better standing/posable IG figure, very disappointing.

@@OBSDCC7 mine can, not perfectly but I rarely have problems with them falling over or knocking other figures down
@@MR.GOAT. Fair enough. It’s kind of embarrassing that I’m even just impressed that they put ball joints into the hips. Hope I can get the mafex release for a reasonable price at some point
I hope we get those retools for IG 88. The whole IG-12 thing in Mando S3 was a bit pointless and so short lived

looks like a cool figure, but when they don't stand on their own it's a thumbs down. i've been burned so many times in the past. this didn't seem to happen much in the early days of the black series, but now it's a problem.

Love your channel but dude u didnt even address the ankles after highlighting the difficulties.
Even putting this figure on a solid stand, it still manages to fall over. Its a horrible design and NOT meant to be removed from the box.
I never liked Krang in the tmnt, this is too close for my liking. Easy pass

Maybe don’t watch a Star Wars action figure channel then? Also.. Rogue One and Andor are fantastic. Clone Wars, Rebels and Bad Batch are too
