Good to see 12 volt stuff. Personally we chopped MC4 connections off every panel we get and replace with an Anderson plug. You can never have too much power, particularly with someone working in the van. The 4 day week sounds great and will enable you to relocate and see amazing places on your 3 days off. Keep up the great work on the van. 👍
Englaon is a very good and fairly well known brand for RV's. Aussie owned, as well! For better sound, a 12 VDC sound bar is a good idea, as 'most' TV speakers are pretty bad these days. Even on expensive TVs. I got a 12 volt, 32" FHD TV, by "RV Media" for my MoHo. Not cheap and works well... The speakers are still, very... ordinary. I also got an "NCE", 12 Volt sound bar for it - 20 watts RMS per channel (just 2 speaker stereo) and it makes a *huge* difference to the sound quality. It is a blue-tooth bar, but I find that the sound runs about 1 second behind the TV, so it's out of sync - which is like watching one of those foreign 'dubbed' movies 😄. It came with an "Aux" cable that plugs into the TV and that is spot on. In fact you "may" have been able to just use a sound bar for the old TV, if it's only the built-in speakers that are shot.. but IIWII. Android TV is a stand-alone media app (O.S.) and is very good. At least it is on my NVidia Shield Android TV box. Having said ll this, I am yet to hit the road, but hopefully not too much longer before I go full time. Fingers, legs, eyes -and everything else, crossed. Pretty new subscriber, here, and haven't caught up with your older vlogs yet, but, great work guys!
ATTN: NETWORK RV CARAVAN OWNERS Apologies for using this thread for my message, but I need to send out a clear and urgent message. I've had a Victory caravan made by Network RV for near on 12 months now. After 4 months, there was a fire with the electrics due to a bad connection and they had wires running everywhere. I had it repaired by a licensed auto-sparky who did a fantastic job and replaced the inline fuses too, as Network RV installed cheap ones. Network RV also installed a faulty sway controller and failed to test it prior to handover. I got this repaired at my 1st service. There's also issues with the electronic brakes, where the brakes periodically come on, but the rest of the time are off!! I had already gone through a set of pads on my new ute at 12k when I very rarely use the brakes themselves, as I use manual shift religiously. All the silicone from around the van began peeling off after a week or 2 and I could see into the van itself as the walls had began to bulge out!!! This further caused internal issues such as walls buckling, drawers getting stuck, cupboards bowing, walls bowing, windows vibrating and becoming loose, shower screen buckling etc The end resulted in my caravan requiring being striped to the chassis and everything being rebuilt as Network RV had used MDF as a cheap way out of constructing the van correctly to save on costs and build more profits. As a full-time wanderer myself, I was promised 2 weeks only for the repairs to next week be the 11th week since dropping the van off!!! No BS They are yet to even look at my brakes, although I've been told 2 weeks ago the van was ready to pick up!!! They've been sitting on my van and delaying the repairs so the warranty period expires, as they've already confirmed in writing to me, they are not extending my warranty under any circumstances Both the Dealer, Fair Dinkum Caravans and Network RV, have refused to assist with housing me for this amount of time, nor did they initially want to accept any liability prior to me just turning up on the Dealer's doorstep unannounced one morning as I was sick n tired of the games they were trying to play. My emails included the owner of the company and do you think he has had the decency to respond or apologise to me? I did contact NSW Fair Trading and ACCC who are powerless, as the mob have made attempts in repairing my caravan and there's not yet a Regulatory body to enforce any law upon them. My next move was to contact ANCAP. I'm writing this here for anyone who owns a Network RV caravan to CHECK your caravan BEFORE your warranty expires. Once expired, you're on your own and Network RV know this and are screwing their customers over, like me. As I understand, it's caravans built in the last 12-18 months. Please get the word out before it's too late.
@@Livin_Like_Kings_ Thanks guys. There's going to be unsuspecting vanners who have no idea what their van is like until it's too late, hence why I'm putting this warning out. Network RV obviously aren't recalling their vans or telling their customers to take their vans in for repairs, but when the MDF gets wet vans will 'pop out' meaning the rivets and silicone holding the vans together will stop bonding and will have the same issues I had and will have to have their entire van stripped down to the chassis and rebuilt from scratch. Mine luckily is within the warranty period so is costing me $0, but the question is whether or not insurance covers this or not is another thing! We all know how insurance in Australia plays out!
Well, you’re an expert now working on a your van Grant Bianca. I’ll bring my van out. You can start working on that for me because I don’t know how to work on vans. I’ll sit back and have a beer and watch you like I do every week.
Wouldn’t it be great if just ONCE, something fitted like it should. Most everything I buy has to be MacGyvered in one way or another. Well done, guys ❤️😊😊
Another great episode. I like your idea of what you’re doing to your old van rather than buying a new one. Better on the pocket and probably better for the environment too. Keep It up. Andy.
Can't beat the kings 250w fold panels, $179 , pushes 16amps plus in battery thru mppt. High end solar Alvolta 440w folding and high voltage, but $899, need to lock up
If that panel is successful, ditch the mc4 connectors and put the Anderson plug straight on the cables. You inevitably lose a little at every connection so the less the better 😊
It’s this TV www.kogan.com/au/buy/englaon-television-englaon-24-hd-led-android-smart-12v-tv-with-built-in-dvd-player-chromecast-for-caravan-rv-led24m80/
Don’t be hooking up any more in series on your set up the VOC 🤪 could be to high but on one controller will be fine you’d hope ? . I’ve done the same as you 👍 portable power for extra juice , I went 3 440w portables and pull in between 22Ato 30A each panel and can get over 3kwh a day and you will far exceed ya roof panels just with 2 repositions a day hahaha but I dare you to leave-em alone ! You will be checking lots you’ll be a power hungry mindless panel mover 😜🤪😜
🤣 I can see it now! I be like that old cranky guy on the street that yells at people to stay off the grass. Only I’ll be yelling to keep their shadows off the panels!🤣🤣

Thanks guys another great video & thanks for showing the van door storage solution, I just bought one for my tiny little van.
