Oh, so much patience. And this is why we don’t have a diesel heater 😂. Always head to the sunny places when travelling👍 so near with the fix, shame the pump having other opinions. For someone who doesn’t build caravans you do a great job of maintenance.
Almost time to hit the road again.

Love your work. I have a confession - my mate's diesel heater stopped working and had an error code that I didn't know what it was for. So I said to him, I'd fix it by replacing it with a new diesel heater off Ebay for $80. I pulled the old one out, put the new one in and he's a very happy camper again. Then I pull apart his old one at home and a new glow plug would have fixed it for $30. But I said to him that for $80 he has new everything and I was able to replace the rubber hose connectors that had decayed and he needed a new fuel tank, filter and pump.

🤣 I tell ya what, through the whole ordeal I was considering replacing the entire thing…… I still might! In my view it only has to work a couple of season to pay itself off

a compressor would be very helpful that will help get rid of the dust

Need to protect combustion air intake filter from dust ( especially on outback dirt ), one of the reasons why chamber clogged up. Extend air intake filter , so can cover. Run diesel heater every 4-6 weeks, to keep pump in working order

Grant just be aware that the diesel pump may have an air lock and will not pump. No clicking/ noises probably dead. Clicking probably air lock. I know you said power was to it but not working at all was a bit vague. Hope all goes well

Hey guys - what’s the tool thingy - I want one for my hubby. It would definitely save his mental health 😊😅😂
Grant is so handy. Pity it didn’t go to plan 🤦‍♀️
Would love to be able to do what you guys have managed to do. We just get someone else. 😉
    Well done. 😎

      Hi!
The tool is a wire stripping tool, the other is a crimping tool. I got the both at Jaycar
      Cheers for watching 😁👍

G'day Grant & Bianca. I am enjoying your reno videos. My van is 12 years old & always requiring some sort of maintenance etc, so it is good to get a few different ideas on how to do things. I need/should also service my Webasto heater - not that it is giving us grief, rather it is about 6 years old and never serviced since I put it in !! The service kit you installed - was it genuine or generic. I looked up pricing for genuine & cannot justify the $399 cost whereas generic is around the $160 mark. Any issues with what you fitted? Cheers. Dave.

      Gday Dave!
The service kit was genuine webasto kit, but was only $70 on eBay.
There doesn’t seem to be any problem with it so far😁👍

re air intake if it is tucked up within the water tank cover when you use it then
it will suck the dust up that has accumulated in that area.If you agree this is happening then you need to extend the air intake out in the open where no dust can build up around it mickb

The pumps can get stuck when not used for a while, try to hit it with the rubber handle of a screwdriver 👌

Trust me, hitting the bloody thing was my first instinct.
Since then I’ve replaced the pump, the new one isn’t working either! There is power but no signal from the controller I suspect

The installer of heater doesn’t have to service it. Next guys problem.
Never place your body under the item your removing or touching, small tip.
Doing great job of discovery, you’re be a how too guy soon, your just doing your apprenticeship.
