More about the 2023 Ford E-Transit Cargo Van & Passenger Van
Transit is America’s best-selling full-size commercial van(1) for a variety of reasons, including versatility, productivity and Built Ford Tough capability. The new, all-electric 2022 E‑Transit will also feature next-level connected technology, extraordinary efficiency and EV-certified dealer support - complete with zero emissions and quiet operation. The new E‑Transit has been designed with no compromises in cargo-carrying capacity(2) - compared to gas-powered Transit models - with an integrated battery at the core of a drive system engineered to offer a targeted EPA-estimated range of 126 miles(3) on a single charge for the Low Roof Cargo Van. With the expected 40% lower maintenance demands of an EV, customers can expect E‑Transit to provide maximum uptime to take on their day-to-day demands.
E‑Transit features Built Ford Tough performance and durability with uncompromised cargo space to help businesses work efficiently with lower operating costs. E‑Transit offers responsive acceleration, with nearly immediate torque to the wheels when the driver taps the pedal. The all-electric van involves no trade-offs to accommodate the lithium-ion battery, which is integrated within the frame. Another key E‑Transit feature is Pro Power Onboard, which provides 2.4 kW of electrical power to operate tools and equipment while on the job site.
Key Performance and Capability Features:
Targeted maximum payload ratings
Cargo van: 3,880 lbs.(4)
Chassis Cab: 4,390 lbs.(4)
Cutaway: 4,428 lbs.(4)
Zero carbon dioxide emissions from the electric propulsion system
With the 2.4‑kW Pro Power Onboard, a contractor could run a power miter saw and a ½-horsepower air compressor by plugging in to the 120‑volt/20‑amp outlets in the cargo area
Pro Power Onboard stays active while driving, which allows owners to charge their electric-powered tools between jobs
Features a programmable cutoff to reserve battery power for driving
Smart Acceleration Truncation is available and limits take-off power, based on vehicle load, to help manage speed for safety and power usage
E‑Transit accelerates at a consistent rate whether it is full of cargo or empty
Quiet Performance allows E‑Transit to operate at the hours the customer chooses
The powertrain is designed to operate quietly in residential areas with noise restrictions
8‑year/100,000‑mile Electrical Vehicle Component Warranty coverage(5) (whichever comes first)
E‑Transit customers will be offered a variety of choices similar to current Transit options - three vehicle lengths with three roof heights. In addition to the Cargo Van, all-electric E‑Transit Chassis Cab and Cutaway variants will be available. With over 2,300 EV‑certified Ford dealerships across the country and 640+ EV‑certified Commercial Vehicle Centers across the United States, E‑Transit owners will have access to a vast network of service locations.

34 minutes? Is a lie. I bought the same car 3 weeks ago. But I am having a hard time charging it. The car looks cool but I think 130 miles full charge is not enough for work. I am an electrician and I would like to suggest an upgrade for the battery.. I live in New york and it is always hard to find a charger station available and when it is too cold the battery consumes much faster than usual. Last week, I consumed 180 miles in a 120 day work. Hope in summer will be better
dude I think my work offers free charging stations. yo. im set for life.
I wish they had another option with about 250 miles range and DC charging...
More range is for sure a big ask from many of our customers. I am sure they have big plans for the future but wanted to get this out asap due to so much demand. We will be sure to keep everyone posted! Thanks for watching!
They have done a ton of research and the average local delivery van drives 80 miles in a work day. Also this does has dc fast charging with CCS
I just ordered mine!
Great video!
Thank you! We appreciate you watching!
@@LascoFord its a hard sell you tryed your best , i can sense your willing to say anything just get in the door for a test drive ...thiers a 80s movie called used cars my favorate
8hr charge? Not good? Must be improved !!!!
For overnight charging it’s perfect, the CCS charger can charge it up in 30 minutes or so depending on the kw it delivers.
You will have to buy a Honda generator together 😂
@@marciolprado1 ya soo many broken chargers
@@marciolprado1 i was at charge point someone cut off the cord hahahaha
They didn’t deliver a crew van because it’s not meant for driving people long distances… it’s meant for local service and local delivery vehicles.
What if your local service comes with more than two guys?
Forgive me if I sound like a do do head
Is this similar to a hybrid in that
I can leave engine on with air cond. Going and it not cause damage to my engine like what happened to me in a standard gas engine???
Thank you either way😊
126 miles per charge? What is the range if the AC or heater is running?
never run heater in a ev unless its a tesla
I saw some videos with a lot of rust, water from the windshield gutter falling on electrical connections and door hitting the B-pillar, a crappy project.
ya was during covid they built these chip shortages and people on sick leave probelly had new people working on these
I thought it good, so i bought one and i drove it about two week , it a night mare diving distance, charging time, and also limited using heating, music etc. anything related to the electric power that so much cut back on the battery, just rethink carefully before you want to purchase one.
i think 8 hr charge could ruin a delivery route in the winter , but mite be a good inter city vanlife ride
should something go wrong do you get a free loaner car while they fix the issues? these ev's were built during covid thier may be chip subsitutes and factory defects
It baffles me why they don't offer a 2'nd row of seating on the electric models.
He said courtesy wipe
ya funny and bit award
Gasolina 1 mnt full
Electricidad 8 horas
Ebisto alos teslas colgados en wawa por más de 30 mnts Jajajaj a90g 😅
So there's no gas engine at all? Just 120 miles? Good luck to anyone who buys one of these, lol.
Is there something wrong with your hands ?
@ 0:26 I down voted this video, no one likes pop ups in a video.
