The real muffalettas are so big that they feed four people. My son always gets one when we are in New Orleans. I must try that olive salad. I love that stuff. I love your channel. ❤😊
Awe…..love you guys! I’m going to make that salad today! Maybe the casserole tomorrow. And I love a good muffuletta Sammie……so that will also be in the works. And thank you Mandy for sharing Tabby’s channel as well…..love her videos. God bless you guys in 2024!❤
I know I've said this multiple times, but your channel is a blessing to everyone who watches it. I needed this today. We have to make a very hard decision soon. Asking y'all to please continue to pray for us. Thank you in advance. God Bless.
I made the salad tonight and it was AMAzing!!! So so good. Thank you for sharing. Only change I made was using goat cheese because it’s what I had on hand.
My aunt does a version of pizza casserole she makes for my cousins’ football potlucks. She mixes cooked spaghetti with two eggs then layers with the meat sauce and cheese before baking. The egg almost forms a crust on the bottom which is a wonderful surprise.
We just made the salad. Feta and onion for me too but I did throw my pecans in the air fryer while I made the dressing. We made it a meal by topping it with Rotisserie Chicken Salad from the deli. Delicious. That dressing is sooo good. Thank you!
Oh My! All of these recipes look Delicious! Decisions Decisions. I'm thinking of trying the Sandwich first. I'm with Stephen on this one and Serrve with a Creamy Basil Soup! Y'all have a Happy New! You're my Favorite of Everyone to watch. ❤❤
I’m a Louisiana girl and the Muffaletta is whatever you want it to be, I make Muffaletta salad, romaine, tomatoes, cucumber, red bell pepper, all the salami, mortadella, pepperoni and lots of different cheeses I have in my refrigerator, then I load up on the olive loaf jarred mix, ohhh and I add pickled banana peppers too! So yummy! Happy New Year to you and your family, thanks for all the cooking and recipe inspiration!
That Italian bread looks like little pairs of shorts! lol It was perfectly toasted golden brown! That "muffaletta" does sound good--I love Italian flavors in a sandwich.
Mandy, I just started watching your channel a few weeks ago. I have to say that I have tried a few of the recipes and they have been a hit, and I find myself looking daily for new videos to be posted. But what I have to tell you refers to your term “Go-back”, when Steven ‘goes back’ for seconds - My husband is WELL KNOWN for his 2nd helping of foods, so much so that his co-workers have nicknamed him “Two-Bowl”! 😆🤣. Just to be clear, when I’ve made your recipes, his title remains intact! LOL. Thanks for sharing your content. *I especially love your open-hearted faith! God bless Y’all! 🙏👆
Your family always makes me smile. Their reactions, and joyful hearts, are the best. Being able to appreciate good food together is such a blessing. It always cracks me up when my kids (who learned to cook young) explain to friends how easy it is to make some random meal, or dessert and proceed to start cooking. My middle son recently cooked Belgian waffles, from scratch, for his college roommates. I sent him to college with all the ingredients because it has always been one of his favorites. He even topped them with a fruit sauce and real whipped cream. The key is sharing the joy with others. ❤
Muffaletta bread is a big round loaf like a french bread and it can be cut into four pieces. I used to make a sandwich like that for my boys using french bread. I wrapped it in tin foil and warmed it in the oven until the cheese melted. They loved it.
Muffuletta Bread, it’s basically a white bread that has been shaped into a flat disc and topped with sesame seeds before being baked, it looks like a large hamburger bun with a crusty texture.
I have a cookie recipe you might like It has been a been a family favorite. It was my mom’s specialty Chocolate chip cookies Cream 1 cup butter or margarine 3/4 cup brown sugar 3/4 cup white sugar Add 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla Sift 1 1/2 cup flour 1 teaspoon soda 1 teaspoon salt add to batter Add 2 cup oatmeal (quick or minute oats) 1 package chocolate chips Can add 1 cup nuts (optional) Bake 400 degrees about 10 minutes or until light brown and slightly undercooked in the middle Remove from the cookie sheet while hot and place on newspaper or paper towels They freeze really well
Love this and love your channel! For your outro… I love you how you said, “Lettuce” know how you liked this video…. All while eating a salad! LOL. Hope you had a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
I just made your pizza casserole it was fantastic I think I like it better than spaghetti. The sauce sticks to the noddles a whole lot better. the next time I make it Im gonna put some spinach in it I love spinach on a pizza thanks so much for this recipe it is so simple I just love yall. Good bless!!❤
I want to make that sandwich with a few changes. Looks so great though. And that salad, come on now! And the pizza casserole! Wow. Today I was thinking we needed pizza in another form and there you were with the answer! I want to make all of these recipes. Thank you!
From the way Steven was explaining the soup and sandwich combination, I thought you were going to have to throw cold water on that boy😂😂. If it brings that kind of reaction, I'm making it!!. Love you guys glad your back and healthy.
I have made that pizza casserole before with whatever I happen to have in my pantry and fridge. Every single time I make it, my son who is 10 and my husband gobble it up. Great food for kids. There are never any leftovers.
Wow! GREAT start for the new year!! I'm definitely making these!!! I'm starting with the pizza casserole on Sunday! I love this channel. Happy and blessed 2024!!
Mandy, I love your channel! Your voice is so calming. I love your family dynamics. I’m a Gamecock, you’re a Tiger, but we’re both Carolinians. We might have animosity one day of the year 😉but I wish you and yours all the best! Thanks for all the great recipes.
Breana and I love watching you guys, you make us laugh every time! I am going to make all of them but the subbie salad I will make according to the subscribers direction, because I love blue cheese, spinach and I almost always toast my nuts first!❤❤❤❤
I love your videos especially since Steven is more involved with them. All your recipes are always a hit!!! Glad your family is feeling much better since of last year lol😊. See ya next time!!!❤😊
With the package shredded cheese, empty the cheese into a colander and rinse with Luke warm water for a few minutes and the cheese will melt beautifully.
This is GREAT! I've been watching you for a couple years, and we seem to have similar tastes...The Food, Our Families, and...THE CAT! My Kitty would sit and watch you give Gracie her cheese, then we'd head to the kitchen for his cheese, LOL! Sadly, we lost Kitty just before Christmas, But I Am Still Here. You bring back all the great memories, and always have something that I know the Fam will LOVE! Thanks for just being YOU!
That salad is the same one I’ve been making for our family’s Thanksgiving dinner for about 30 years now. Romain lettuce chop pecans, dried cranberries, feta cheese only we use Briannas poppyseed dressing for our dressing but I’m gonna try your vinaigrette. It looks great. We just call it “ that salad”because my mom used always remind me to bring “that salad” ❤😊
Mandy I made the muff. last night for the 1st time. AND I went to flip the sandwich and it went all over the place. SO with much thought because my husband and son both liked it after the recovery, I came up WITH this. Ok butter all the bread 3 sandwichs 6 breads. The first 3 don't put butter side down to filled it with the fillings, instead lay the butter bread on top of the first slice and fill the one on top, pick it up and start cooking the butter filled one, Then take the other buttered slice and toast it by it's self, when done check on toasted sides of the diff bread and put the toasted separate piece on top and it is done with no flipping. It sounds hard to explain but just kind of see what I'm trying to say, I love my idea and NO FLIPPING. Not even sure you will see this but I hope you will. Yay me. 😁
Mandy, First time commenting and I always enjoy your recipes and have made many of them. I think this salad would be especially good with the spinach too. Keep those great recipes coming. P.S. I love Gracie
I think I add something to my Thrive order every time I watch you! That Muffuletta Olive Salad looks delicious! Also, I love that your blooper music starts as the troublemaking ingredient or gadget enters the screen, a little foreshadowing that a struggle is coming, and it's sure to entertain 😂 Happy New Year!
use mayo instead of butter for the toasted bread. when i cook noodles, i bring the water to a rolling boil, dump the noodles in back to a boil turn the heat off and cover. come back later, dont need to watch the clock. for some reason they dont over cook. Great Job is also a quote from a Will Smith movie. i also have a cat, when Nala hears Gracie lou MEOW, she comes and sits near. wondering who that is. btw i am 73 and been cooking it seems all my life. learned from my grandmother and mother. i am on my 4th printer now from printing recipes. yes Mandy, i have printed many of yours. ok done Rambling.
I’m from New Orleans and the “muffelOtta” was not what we’ve grown to expect here but if that’s what you think of when you eat your yummy sandwich, it works for me! Just one suggestion for your salad: cut the lettuce pieces smaller and it will ‘eat’ better. I too remove spinach stems and it’s for the same reason for smaller pieces of anything!
Yes! I blitz it in the mini processor I like it in smaller pieces also. Plus I can't always find it in the jar and then I make my own. With Giardiniera and Castelvetrano Olives 😋😁
After my divorce I got used to going out with friends but just doing my own food ordering. We all went to a pizza place and I went to order and someone walked up behind me and said “I ordered a muffelata and I can’t eat it all; if you would like to share.” I did and 4 months later we were married! I found out he could manage to eat 2 muffelatas with no trouble! It must have been love and we’ve been married 47 years! Keep making those sandwiches!
That sandwich looked really good! Well it all does! I used to manage the Merita Bread outlet in Conover and Morganton NC for years and I always made sure to keep that Italian bread in stock, it was so good and sold out in no time! You know I told you about losing my cat Benji last month, and Gracie is now such a sweet reminder of him hearing her meow for her cheese. I wanted to tell you my sweet husband got on Facebook and found a place that sold little blankets or throws, and you send them a picture and they put it on the throw with a poem. He sent Benji's picture and got me that for Christmas. I balled my eyes out when I saw it! I'll never get another cat, I just can't replace him, not after 16 years, but I thought that was so sweet! I know some people can, but I'm just not able to. Thank you Mandy for all the amazing recipes and the laughter you and Steven bring to our lives! God bless you and your family always! ❤️
So glad you guys are back and feeling better! Happy new year! Also the cornball in me can’t resist. I vote we change the sandwich name to “Mandy-lettas” okay, I’m done. 😂 Love from TEXAS!
Hi Mandy, you guys are really missing out if you haven't had a "real"muffaletta! Your sandwich looks amazing but the real thing is out of this world. All three of your recipes today are going on next week's menu!
Love all your videos and recipes. Love Miss Gracie Lou. She is a sweet blessing to see. When you talk to her it sounds like she saying mam to you. Love you all so much. ❤❤
Mandy, I love watching you cook and watching you and your hubby together. The two of you are like a younger version of myself and my husband. Its so refreshing. I have made some of your dishes.... DELISH! Many blessings to you for 2024!💜
Winner dinners in 2024 !! Mandy and Steven in 'da house ! Happy New Year to the Lucy and Ricky substitutes !! Have a great year full of great content !!
These all sound yummy Mandy! I think I have all the ingredients on hand for the pizza casserole tho, so that sounds like my first. Thank u again for tried & true simple recipes! Love the antics today too- Steven was in rare form for sure! 😂
A hack I learned a couple years ago for any grilled sandwiches is to use mayo (Duke's is best, of course) in place of butter. It creates a tasty crust on the bread that will elevate your sandwiches to another level. Try and enjoy.
Mandy, my name is Kora and my grandmother and I decided to make a "new" recipe. We were short on yeast so we decided to make egg dumplings in place of crust. Brown 1 lb. Of hamburger or sausage also any meats you like Saute onions med. Also garlic to preference. Use shredded mozzarella 3/4 c. And pizza sauce. 1 jar Mix after everything is done. You can also use mush. , peppers Enjoy, we do.
Happy New Year to you, Steven, and Coleman! I’m anxious to try the salad, and would really like to try the pizza casserole. It looked really good to me as well, however my husband generally doesn’t like casseroles so I’m hoping he’s game to try it too!
Thanks for these ideas! Our family loves your family 😊when you were making the pizza casserole, you said ‘noodle water’ and I immediately thought of the Friends episode with Pheobe making Monica soup so Pheobe could get her sexy phlegm back 🤣
I cant be certain but I think Steven loves that Muffaletta sandwich...lol!!!! And he might want you to serve it with Creamy tomato basil soup but It was hard to tell. ;) Welcome back y'all!!!
I hope that y’all are having a great start to the new year. I’m so glad that you showed the medicine because I’ve been sick for a week now, and I immediately ordered some to be delivered tomorrow.
I make a pizza Skillet and I use elbow macaroni instead of any kind of bread or crust. I put everything in there that I would put on top of a pizza including the marinara sauce cheese olives pepper's sausage pepperoni you name it. It's always a hit at any kind of church Gathering especially with the kids but the adults love it too.
It's not a "real" Muffaletta, it's a "Muf-faux-letta". 😉
Okay. You win the best comment of the day award!
@@MandyintheMaking That was a darn fine comment 👌
You win today. 🤣
To me it’s a muffuletta just the bread is different no big deal to me who has eaten muffuletta’s all my life.
The real muffalettas are so big that they feed four people. My son always gets one when we are in New Orleans. I must try that olive salad. I love that stuff.

Happy new year to you all. You guys are so cute x
I have never even heard of a muffaletta sandwich. Lol 😂
I absolutely love you guys!!! I am relatively new and I come for the recipes but also your all goofiness, I love it!
Love your channel! You are a blessing to us
I love New Orleans Louisiana Foods especiallyShrimp Gumbo
"Pro" tip, use mayo instead of butter on the outside of the bread. I guarantee you that you will LOVE it. It browns the bread perfectly! ❤❤❤❤
