Not a film for the middle of summer. One has to be in the midst of the dark winter to really feel this film. And only those who hail from a region of the Northlands where such cold actually exists can feel this said cold, and the true darkness that comes from the dreaded Winter------------- in its full effect!
Based on the many positive reviews here (thanks to those below) I have started to read The North Water - and what a gripping story it is turning out to be. I haven't read such a page turner in a very long while and from the few chapters i have so far read .I'd like to recommend it to others. Will finish the book before watching the series. Can't wait!

Loved the book. Brutal, dark, gritty. “No country for old men” in the snow. Let’s see if they can pull it off. Looks good!
How do you feel they did? Haven't read the book myself but the miniseries was positively bleak and ruthless. Amazing acting and cinematography

Barrows Boys is a good read.
From the reviews I've read they can't pull it off - whatever it is or from wherever it was aimed.
I feel like this is what The Terror S2 should’ve been - an anthology of polar thriller stories adapted from novels

Colin Farrel is one of few actors that can look different in some of his movies.
I like him in The Lobster
I believe his playing Penguin in the new Pattinson Batman Movie ... Wouldn't know it was him because of the high end makeup
the Lobster was so sick and entertaining at the same time. Not a movie for everyone
