      I noticed the subtle difference between it for the smiles, for shi and n it starts from bottom to top while tsu and so starts from top to bottom. But I'm still having trouble a little so 😭

      for hiragana し the stroke goes up at the end, so does the katakana シ for the last stroke. the hiragana つ the stroke goes down. the katakana ツ also goes down for the last stroke. thats how i remembered it!

      I actually ordered them from Japan, just to make sure (no kidding). But any 1.0mm ink roller will do the job (I also use uni-ball Gel Impact 1.0, which are available around here).

    A funny way for remembering the similar letters 「シ」 & 「ツ」 that stuck with me is to imagine シ looking up ツ’s skirt and saying “*she* has nice legs”, alerting ツ who looks down and goes “tsu!” (scoffing or spitting at him). That way, you can always remember that シ looks up while ツ looks down in a mildly perverse way, probably not something you’ll learn in class lol

    Just learnt hiragana and katakana, your videos helped me a lot, because i could actually see, how exactly i should write all kanas.     I am learning to write hiragana and katakana correctly with Maestro Takumi. When he writes one character, I write 8 as practice. This is soooo helpful 🙏 thank you.

    Finally done with Kana! EURIKA! Now I only have 8000 Kanji characters to learn with stroke order and every meaning and reading, plus my ambition to learn both Shinjitai (simplified Kanji) and Kyuujitai (Old/Traditional Kanji) 🙂 God, have mercy on me! (Why am I doing this to myself?)

      Oh oh I think I know what you just said. The katakana ka and power (chikara), katakana e and kou, katakana ha and 8 (hachi) are the same in appearance yet the mean different things. Am I right?

      カと力(ちから)、エと工(こう)は、ぶっちゃけ、同じと考えていいと思います。文章内でこの漢字が使われていたら、意味はcontextで判断しますので。
      だから、日々、文字を書くときはそこまで厳密に神経使わなくてもいいと思います。
      ハと八(←これはフォントのせいもありますが)
      八の右側がハ(は)よりスタートが少し上から来ている、認識です。

      There are about 10,000 kanji, I can only read a select number of Kanji.

      The writing system possibly has originated in Korea and influenced by cantonese. A Japenese professor admitted this.
