  • This video shows the installation of the Swift lowering springs on the 2020 Toyota Supra GR. Fairly easy to install with the right tools in hand. Makes the car look more aggressive and sleek. Probably the first mod needed to get better handling and that stance look.

    Coil overs all day long. Most cars come with metalastic bushes as standard. Air ride puts unnecessary strain on these bushes as they should be tightened by lowering the car on the ground and letting the suspension settle and then tightened up. That’s because these bushes work by the rubber twisting in the bush. If you then slam the car to the ground overnight you are putting unnecessary strain on the bush. Also if your car has bump steer then air ride effects how that works as well.

      Thank you for the comment. I appreciate you explaining the details of possible issues with an air ride setup. The positive thing with coil overs are the adjustment of height when needed. Thank you for your comment and watching the video.

    Does the car rub on bumps? I'm running spacers on my and planning to use this springs.

      Thank you for your comment. No rub with OEM wheels on bumps. Not sure how thick of spacers are ok without rubbing tho. I appreciate you checking out the video💯

    What happens if you dont cut the bump stops? So with you cutting the bump stop, if you want to put back the stock springs, does that mean you will need to buy a new bump stop?

    • @ErickFK8
      @ErickFK8  Год назад +1

      Thank you for your comment. Bump stops usually are put there so certain parts of the suspension don’t wear out quickly and to have a smoother ride. There’s always a debate if bump stops should be trimmed but it depends on length of the springs being installed and ride (bouncy, stiff, etc.). Not sure about reusing trimmed bump stops when reinstalling OEM springs, but it may seem you would need a new set. I appreciate you checking out the video and supporting the channel 🙏💯

      @@ErickFK8 Thank you so much for the info. Been debating to install some swifts on my CTR but didnt want to ruin the factory suspension dynamics engineered by the Honda Engineers compared to aftermarket parts which probably didnt have a lot of R&D. But still looks good though :)
