Preventing older adult overdose: using data to identify touchpoints

  • Given the increasing prevalence of unintentional opioid overdose deaths in the older adult population, insight into prevention opportunities is needed. This talk demonstrates an application of advanced analytical techniques to public health data on overdose death to identify touchpoints for outreach and service delivery including screening, harm reduction and treatment with the goal of improving older adult opioid overdose prevention.
